- Another "Lost Song" played during the "shoot out" in the mall between the girls and Willy's Zombie Crew. Thanks to Don Perry and Bob Summers who worked on the film and supplied us with these lost gems.

Dude totally! I saw this movie on HBO one afternoon in 1999, when i was like 13. It blew me away! It’s been one of my favorite movies ever since. The music is absolutely one of the main factors in that! Thank you!

This movie is one of my favorites of all time. Ever since 85 when I was 9 years old. Thank you for sharing all of this. I use to have dreams I was in that post apocalyptic 80’s landscape. I often wish I could live there.

I was 7 years old in 1985.
1980’s were a great time to grow up in. My experiences were good. Maybe others didn’t have a good experience then, but my times were great. Had loving parents and grandparents. Sure do miss them now. All except my dad. They’re all gone now.

~#1 on my quarantine playlist.~ Loved this song since the 80s..Ive been playing this the past few weeks when I have to go places & everything is gone from the stores, theres no traffic on freeways- it's a very eerie song to play right now but it really fits my mood. Places feel like night of the comet around here! This has been a favorite song since the 80s when I was a kid & wanted to be like Regina...I used to play the VHS tape of this and rewind the mall part just to hear this song..when I found the whole song on here a few years ago It was so cool. Anyways..be safe and make some kickass playlists.

This song should have been widely released with the movie. It could have been one of the big hits of the 80's. Oh well, at least we get to hear it in full now. I can't hear it without thinking of that group of partially zombified stock boys in sunglasses. Such a fantastic scene in such a great movie!

Its been over 30 yrs. and this song is just that UNFORGETTABLE! I first saw this movie @ 9 yrs.old and thought this was the BEST SONG...I catch myself humming or singing this tune when I really want something!! LOL

I'm amazed Don and Bob had these missing songs I've been hunting for my extended soundtrack for years now. Jocko doesn't even own this track and I asked him. I got the other song by him directly.

I'm glad to hear you have contacted Jocko about sending him his missing song. I know he'll be quite happy to have a copy since he disclosed his disappointment in not having it in his archive when he sent me a variation of "Living On The Edge" years ago.

Night of The Comet The Lost Songs No worries about being respectful. Like you, I used to spend years tracking down very hard-to-find songs for my 80s soundtracks (over which I have 100s) to make them into extended forms that contain all of the songs heard in the movie, not just what was officially released. This goes especially true for "Comet" and "Night of the Creeps", which is highly ironic in that I'm only missing three full versions of songs for that soundtrack to make it complete as well.

Just finished watching Night of The Comet. I love that movie. I seen it when I was a kid back in the 80's. Great movie. Great song. 80's movies are classics. And I love a lot of them. Thanks for posting. Thanks for You Tube also cause without it, we wouldn't have a chance to see a lot of old classics.

I was so happy to find this ...back in the old days my dad had his stereo wired so we could record straight from the TV...so back then I rec'd it straight off the movie...so u hear all the crazy stuff..like that dude "...letsss play a game...it's called scaarrry noisessss"...lol.. Watched the movie again on March 31 2024 due to the devil's comet that's swinging by on April 8th 2024 along with the eclipse and thinking, what if this actually happens? At least I can jam out with great 80s vibes from a movie that was awesome Since the day it was made.

Thank you.. I worked with Don Perry who was one of the producers of the movie the lost songs were on a cassette tape in a box...Don sent me the music and gave me permission to spread it out to the masses. Im glad you enjoy it.....it was a labor of love trying to find all the songs. :)

The lost songs are not available on a tangible format. I would buy a CD, if it was officially commissioned.
