I'm in my 60's and had but entirely forgotten about Heathkit. Been around forever (Heath since 1911 as a ) and still are in business as they are now since 1935.
Great new video, Will! I have my original SB-600 that I purchased with my SB-101 I'm restoring. I haven't thought much about it yet, but do know the paint job on it looks much worse than the SB-101 for some reason, although both were stored together. So this video gives me some great techniques for when I get to that step... Mike - WB4MWU
Nice. I have an SB 200-300-400-6x0 station Ivam going to try to fix up and get on the air as soon as I build a bench for it. May be buying some of your paint, heh. When I redid my H11, I fastened the badge back on by rolling some really tight o rings down over the posts after ruining the clips taking them off. Seems to be holding well so far.
Nice job Will! I have an SB 600 and got as far as cutting the new piece of plywood but the speaker is non-working so I’m looking for a replacement. I don’t care if the actual speaker is original since you can’t see it. By chance do you have a recommendation? 73! Thanks for doing the video.
What a great job on an antique Heathkit speaker! Thanks for posting, sir!
Looks great. I love to restore old radios.

Did you forget to paint the screws black??
I see that the speaker cone is torn...You need to put some speaker cone glue on it.
Not bad but that's an expensive can of paint.
Yep..The factory in New Jersey charges a lot but does great work
