Echoing all the others - appreciate this. I started playing this (finally!) this past weekend (I have the all in pledge), and managed to get to Chapter 2, but know I messed up a lot of the combat and diplomacy; it just wasn't explained clearly enough in the rules.
you only need the lightning symbol to connect on the cards you play after the first card you play as active player. In the example you can see by the green colour ( Ailei) of the "surprise Attack" card that it is the first card played by a different player than the blue cards ( Bear).
Jonatan, great video. At 2:12 I've two questions: 1) With attack you deal 2 dmg right?, 1 with the bottom slot and 1 with the top?. 2) The hourglass symbol, when exactly do you draw a card?, if you put another card on top that effect disappear? , on the other if you choose to resolve immediately the monster attack after?
Jonatan, thanks for a tutorial. I have a one additional question - during a combat 1st card which you playing doesn't need a connection with attributes. Is it only 1st card you play or every 1st card you play on every turn?
@@JuggerHagen yes in the Italian one it says "each time you activate the character for the combat the first card is free. As long as it matches regurarly " Otherwise you could be unable to play anything for several turns..
Nice and clear! Only thing not mentioned is using magic. I saw on another video that when you activate a magic key, you put the payment cube on the key, showing it was activated?
Great video!! 👌🙏 But I've got a doubt. When a combat/diplo card tells you to add dmg counters for every agresion/praticity token, that means the linked symbols or your stats? Thanks in advance!!
Thanks. No other fan-made video has been so useful.

Sometimes board game rules are extremely hard to understand!
@@KnightKnowledge I know, ha! I've written a few manuals myself, or have edited them for others. It's challenging for some folks.
Great video for clarifying. Took a while to understand combat and this helped greatly.
Glad it helped! Have fun!
For me top, realy clear example 😁
Where is the lightning symbol to connect on the "Surprise Attack" (7:57)..???

Oh I see! Thanks a lot, now I get it :)
