So sick that you met up with Tom and Cone and that you are on good terms! Know it won't happen but in my head I am imagining you making an appearance on the final Sum 41 show in Canada, maybe even having a double drum setup alongside Frank. What a way to go out that would be.
That would be epic! I respect that things get complicated in bands and that relationships fall apart but it would be like Blink 182 doing a farewell tour and not involving Travis Barker. Tickets are expensive, people want to have 1 last chance to see the real deal, not some Steveo skinwalker behind the kit.🤣😌
Such a great record. Sum 41 with Stevo had the potential to be the greatest metal band of all time. I stopped listening after Chuck. Everything after was just uninspired butt rock.
You and Sum 41 really changed my life as a kid. When DTLI came out, I was obsessed. I was always on the Sum 41 website playing the zombie game and asking for you guys to come to my small town in Iowa to play every day.
Man the music you guys made was so important to my friends and I growing up in Canada and being in high school at that time. So great that you’re putting some stuff up on RUclips for the fans. All the best to you and your family!
Cant believe I'm just finding your channel now! I'm pumped to catch up, thank you for doing these. Your music meant so much growing up and still does to this day. Chuck will always have a special place in my heart
It’s been said, but Chuck is such a dope album. When I was in my 20’s I was in a touring DIY thrash band with a bunch of dudes who loved metal but not so much punk. We were somewhere in Texas and without saying anything I put on The Bitter End. They all loved that opening thrash riff and were like “What WHO is this????” That got me a pass on playing Sum 41 on that and future tours. Loving these videos man, cheers!
The Sum 41 track with a bit of swing! Great to see another bonus track getting some love. It be awesome to see you cover some bonus tracks from the other albums somewhere down the line. Stellar playthrough as usual Steve!
Chuck was the first vinyl record I ever bought, and the drum intro to "Rhythms" showed me how frentic and different pop-punk drumming could be from your contemporaries. I used to listen to a lot of similar bands but none of those other songs or drum tracks scratched my brain the way yours did, dude. I remember feeling so down when it was announced you had left the band, so seeing you make this channel and upload all of the things I've wanted to see for the last 12 years has been such a treat. Keep on keeping on
I started becoming a fan of you guys maybe a year or so before you guys released Chuck. It was so awesome to have an album of a band you've recently gotten into come out on your birthday and that's part of the reason Chuck has always had a special place in my heart
I owe most of my music/drumming career to you, my first memory of listening to music on my own was with Chuck. Your drumming inspired me to do my own thing and it's given me great success. And even now I'm inspired to take a break and start a family and one day be the drummer in my own basement. Thank you for everything.
Always great to see you play ! Even more when it's a song from Chuck ! So happy to see that you keep in touch with the other members of the band. I saw them live in Paris two weeks ago, it was so sick
Dude, I just came across the channel earlier in the week and I love it! Grew up on All Killer No Filler and loved the band ever since. I even had a ‘jackass’ crew called Pain For Pleasure 😂 Anyway, just writing to say that I’m digging the content and would love to see you and the original members of the band start a podcast or something. Don’t know if you guys are all on good terms still but if so you should get The Sums back together to tell all your stories.
Absolutely loving the content so far Stevo! Loving the song breakdowns and the stories that come along with them! Filled out the survey, hope it gives you some insight! Enjoy your holiday!
Not sure if you'll see this, but Sum 41 was a band that really got me into music and one I still listen to all the time. Thanks for all the good memories.
Stevo, I don’t know if you are aware but you are an absolute Canadian icon. Growing up in the GTA, you guys were what so many bands aspired to be. You’re one of the best drummers ever, fucking just pure solid.
I was supposed to see Sum 41 at their final Australian show in Sydney before they cancelled. I was hopeful you'd make an appearance. Still hope it will happen eventually🙏🏻
No Killer is a damn special album for me, one that is always going to be in a high tier of my all time favorites, but when my sister gave me Chuck, man, what a masterpiece!
Happy Holidays, Stevo! The best gift I got this year was your RUclips channel. Thanks for your insight, stories, and sense of humor, man. I look forward to the future videos on this channel.
I remember first time hearing moron on the comp and thinking wow this is something really different than DTLI but damn its good! Still to this day it has a special place in my heart and you did honor the song KILLING IT!
You really seemed like you enjoyed it alot! Like some others, I'd love to hear your relation with other band members. I was always scared that you and them left on bad terms cause I never really found any information about you leaving. Keep up the good stuff Stevo!

Stevo, maybe it would be a good idea to see content like reactions of current songs or music videos, also doing ocassional vlogs would be a great idea! Maybe interviews with friends or music people would be great too. You've got enough charisma to do all these things, hope these ideas are helpful 😊
Also, you could do videos about how is your life after leaving Sum 41, drumming tutorials, or videos about the process of recording, going on tour, etc There's a lot of content you can add to the channel, I'm sure you'll do great!
So good you guys caught up! So so upset that I couldn’t see them. I had tickets to two shows did you get any info is there any chance Australia will be rescheduled? Chuck is my fave album ❤️ So many good songs.

@stevo32drums awesome, love that album and the whole story and ordeal you all went through. I'm sure viewers will appreciate it as many might not know about it 👍
I'm gonna keep asking this until you do it lol but can you play through "No Reason"? My favorite Sum 41 song! And the intro seems off but in time at the same time lol, I love it
SteveO!!! Man you are such an iconic part of my youth. I fully thought the guy in Jackass named himself after you for years. It's amazing to see you rocking as hard as you did in 2003! I need you to confirm a little bit of lore: a summer camp director when I was growing up claimed to be a physics teacher for Derrick. Were you at the same high school? Do you remember Mr Beattie? Happy holidays!
I remember this song. Havnt heard it in years. Going to download it again rn. Thanks for reminding me about this absolute gem. I highly suggest everyone check out the rock against bush album.
This was sweet! One of my favorite things about the best bands that came out of the pop-punk movement is just the plethora of AMAZING drummers. While I think it's hard to argue that Travis Barker gets the top spot of the Mount Rushmore, Stevo is definitely SOLIDLY in the 2 spot. Stevo effortlessly blends the impressive high-tempo stuff that came to define the genre with an identifiable groove and swing that is quite unique and has always set Sum 41 apart. There's a lot of tasteful nuance in his style that Sum 41 fans love but that I think is sometimes somewhat overlooked in the genre as a whole. I'm really enjoying these videos and hearing him play again. It always blew my mind that he didn't showcase his talents in other projects once the Sum 41 partnership fell apart. 🤘 😎 🤘
That's very high praise and a fine compliment. Thank you! I took a break for about 8 years... then I got back into it during the pandemic. Having RUclips as an outlet has been great! Thanks for watching
You’re babysitting children, yet we see and/or hear no children nearby. Hmm, no need to worry! 🤔😂 So glad you were able to see a couple of your bandmates! I knew they were in Australia, but I figured you’d miss them. I heard Frank stepped in when the Electric Callboy drummer got sick because a certain Sum41 singer also got sick. @TankTheTech did a great recap on what happened, so I totally recommend watching if you haven’t! Have fun in Californ-i-a! Wish you were on my end in NYC, but I’m sure you’d rather be avoiding the cold wet weather here. Maybe another time, lol. 😂
Believe me... The children are never far! haha thanks for watching! I don't know Electric Cowboy but good on Frank for stepping up and saving the day 🤘🤘
I remember i had a burned CD of Rock Against Bush Vol.1 and didnt have any of the track names and who they were by. This song was one of my favorites on the compilation. Nearly shat my pants when i found out it was a Sum41 song. Such a great song. Chuck is one of my favorites.
Hi Steve, much appreciated - another one I’m not familiar with (since it’s a bonus track). Just wanted to ask you about the cymbal setup. I noticed your cymbals are loose and not tightened with any screws. Was this always the way you had your kit setup? I used to always tighten my cymbals (and they would often crack). Just wanted to know your approach to this part of the kit setup. Happy holidays in the mean time, hope you’re practising that drum solo from ‘half hour of power’. Cheers and many thanks again 👍
Those compilations like Atticus and Rock Against Bush were fantastic gateways for people to find bands, I still have most of them in my cd case from high school! The Sum 41 song that has a special place in my heart is Over My Head (Better off Dead). I was 11 years old, figuring things out in a divorced and violent household. I didn’t understand all of the words in an adult context at the time but I felt like I was the reason my parents were splitting and the feeling of walking on eggshells every time I opened my mouth just crushed me. The other is With Me from Underclass Hero because that’s the song my fiancé and I chose to be “our” song and will be the song we dance to at our wedding. Been together almost 16 years, you’d think we’d just get married already 🤣
I actually play along to Over My Head a lot but with my left foot playing the bass drum parts to get that foot going. I will post it soon! Congrats on the happy marriage!
Stevo, don’t know if you will get to see this but I hope you do. Sorry it’s so long. You have no idea how much your drumming shaped my early love for early 2000’s punk drumming. When I finally had my own band, we were all big Sum41 fans, and had a similar love for all kinds of different genres. We were also what you might call, Pain for Pleasure Superfans. Even set up a joke and scared the hell out of my guitar players mom. We got up early to make sure we could pull it off. when she came into the kitchen in the morning we were sitting there in our under wear. I had thick framed white ray ban sunglasses, black jungle combat boots, and an American flag velvet Speedo on. I was eating a bowl of Raisin Bran with Jameson. (I hate the taste of Jack Daniel’s) her mouth drops open and she’s like “Badger! What the fuck are you eating! Is that whiskey?!? I tilted my head down and looked at her over the top of my sunglasses and said “ach! Ya canny see I’m avin me, RAWK AN ROLL BREAKFAST!!” Speechless she turned to my band mates and her son,(My guitar player) was cutting up lines of powdered sugar on the table, while my bass player was using a butter knife to spread butter on his nipples. They also had insane clothes on. She stood there speechless for maybe 20 seconds. And we held it together. I bet I ate 10-15 bites of my RAWK AN’ ROLL BREAKFAST. She turned and left the kitchen. She returned with my guitar players dad who took one look at us an almost died laughing. Pretty funny considering he was in an 80’s hair metal band back in the day. They have pictures of him in leather pants with the rising Sun pattern and his drummer in a mesh shirt with spandex shorts. You guys were our heroes and we loved all your tunes! I have my own kids now and my oldest son is 12 and getting into drumming. All killer no filler is one of the albums I use to teach him stuff about punk drumming fundamentals. Was so glad to see you start your own channel and the fans come out of the woodwork to show you some love. Keep being awesome man and thank your for all the killer tunes. Thank Pain for me too, he taught 3 teenage boys how to rock and roll properly! Sadly we lost my guitar player to cancer two years ago. He was my best friend, and closer to me than my own brother. He’d have been so stoked to see you playing again!
Hey man! That's awesome - I'm happy we played a role in you guys getting into music and it's awesome to hear I inspired you to scare the hell out of your guitar player's mom! 😂 Nice to hear you are teaching your son the drums! That's cool - my two sons are not the least bit interested. I'm also sorry to hear about the loss of your friend. My sincere condolences. Thanks for reaching out and for checking out the channel. Take care and all the best in 2025 🤘
This song is an absloute an incredible banger I've ever heard. I know this song from the live CD and I play it again and again. Great time with great drummer
Bro, will you please do a video about Makes No Difference? You guys were hilariously chaotic in that video and I love that song so much. I know that's a real throwback, but man, I still watch that video and smile :D The squirt gun pizza robbery made me laugh so hard
I met up with my former band mates recently as well. Our bassist's wife kicked us out of the garage a few hours later and the guitarist's kid cut her hand on some string knubs on the headstock. Not quite as I remember it......although the little girl cutting her hand is more metal than we ever were.
I think it would be cool if Steve did "his version" of classic tracks from pop punk and early scene band e.g., his interpretation or what he'd have done.. Always loved his style and drum tones. In fact, he was who we'd tell our drummer to emulate in the early 2000's, and have him listen to DTLI and All Killer on repeat. Lucky for him, he was a huge Sum 41 fan after the first couple tracks.
Stevo, your videos are great! The survey on the website has passed! I am especially glad that you met with other members of the Sum 41 group! I really want to see more of your new videos together. Is this real?
Happy to see you met up with Tom And Cone at the airport. Keep up the videos. Maybe in California re-visit where the fatlip music Video was filmed in Pomona?
To tell you the truth, Stevo, I never listened to Moron. Why? Because I didn’t took my time of day to listen to it. I remember reading Sum 41’s discography on Wikipedia a long time ago, but I didn’t listen to it until you uploaded this video. Sounds good. I will listen to it more. Anyways, I hope you are enjoying the holidays with your family. Thank you for the video. God bless. Stay strong.
Current drummer in my HEART
Thanks! That's nice!
And in my heart too❤
So sick that you met up with Tom and Cone and that you are on good terms! Know it won't happen but in my head I am imagining you making an appearance on the final Sum 41 show in Canada, maybe even having a double drum setup alongside Frank. What a way to go out that would be.
I second this motion!!! Make it happen captain!
I have a feeling it's going to happen
fingers eyes toes crossed! hope deryck is better for the final leg also
That would be epic! I respect that things get complicated in bands and that relationships fall apart but it would be like Blink 182 doing a farewell tour and not involving Travis Barker. Sum 41 and your channel has made me want to learn drums now in my late 30’s
The guitar solo in the bitter end always makes me want to learn guitar.

In my head n hope you joins SUM 41 last joins.....Bro,you the ones of my influence to play drum a long ago ....
I'm glad I was an influence! Thanks man! hope you are still playing!
@stevo32drums wellcome Bro....Still rock Yeah!!!
Some play throughs with brown/other band mates split screen style would be dope af
Maybe some time in the future
Good luck gang! Drums for life! ❤
Ya canny see I’m avin me, RAWK AN ROLL BREAKFAST!!”
Speechless she turned to my band mates and her son,(My guitar player) was cutting up lines of powdered sugar on the table, while my bass player was using a butter knife to spread butter on his nipples.
Take care and all the best in 2025 🤘
Cone showing off his skillz in this banger
Love me some Bonesy
“The quality is a little worse” while he sits in front of the most beautiful backdrop imaginable
Well I meant the camera was shooting at 720p .. but yes, I see your point

Same to you ! Thanks man!
This song is an absloute an incredible banger I've ever heard. I know this song from the live CD and I play it again and again. Great time with great drummer
thanks man!
I dont play drums but I did fill out the survey keep the videos coming Stevo!
Thanks very much! Will do!
Bro, will you please do a video about Makes No Difference? You guys were hilariously chaotic in that video and I love that song so much. I know that's a real throwback, but man, I still watch that video and smile :D The squirt gun pizza robbery made me laugh so hard
When I get back home I will do that ... 2025!
@@stevo32drums Awesome, can't wait!
I met up with my former band mates recently as well. Our bassist's wife kicked us out of the garage a few hours later and the guitarist's kid cut her hand on some string knubs on the headstock. Not quite as I remember it......although the little girl cutting her hand is more metal than we ever were.
Finally! On this track we can clearly hear Cone's bass line !!!!!!
Cone rules!
That's cool man! Maybe I will do that! Thanks !
I don't even like S41, but you seem like a cool guy.
Fucking great drummer.
Thanks man! I appreciate that 🤘
Stevo still a legend 🙌 musicians really appreciate. Im still waiting, 😉

I am especially glad that you met with other members of the Sum 41 group! I really want to see more of your new videos together. Is this real?
Thanks man! Maybe in 2025!
The channel would deffo grow with a vlog of you attempting to nail the triple lindy!

All the best Steve! Can you react to your MTV cribs episode in your parents house. I remember it being hilarious
I will!
Happy to see you met up with Tom And Cone at the airport. Keep up the videos. Maybe in California re-visit where the fatlip music Video was filmed in Pomona?

Would love to see Angels with dirty faces video. Propably my favourite from Chuck.
I will definitely do that one... great song
All good! I haven't listened to it for 20 years and completely forgot about it! Thanks for watching! Happy holidays to you as well 🤘
This is awesome dude 🤟
Thanks!
