Travis' ability to constantly create hooks within songs is pure talent in music, but him removing any and all ego for the sake of the song when creating a simple, yet pitch perfect drum loop for their most influential piece of art, I Miss You, is pure love in music ❤
I seriously consider this channel to be one of the best things that happened on the internet this year, at least to me. I'm 30 years old and a big Stevo fan since 2003, when my uncle rented the first Spider-Man DVD and I saw this dude on the "What We're All About" video.
You and Travis were my favourites when I started drumming and will always be two of my favourites. Thanks for the inspiration brother! Great to see you playing and posting again!
Dude you just blew my mind! My favourite drummer talking, acknowledging, and play my other favourite drummers song! Such a shame blink and sum didn’t do a pop disaster tour of their own!!!

I’m trying to teach him paradiddles and I’ve been playing about 20 years now myself but just thank you for everything you’ve done for my mental health I genuinely can’t thank you enough for being part of my family’s life. Long live punk rock 🤘🏻
He’s fantastic and I really love what he’s been doing for rock, I think we really needed a boost. Seeing this video reminded me of this online chat platform. Idk if anyone remembers Habbo Hotel from back in the day but they had this Sum 41 flag that you could hang up in your room. I saved up so I could get that little holy grail item and I thought I was the absolute shit! Thanks for the memories. Keep banging that kit, you’re adept at your craft and you deserve all the credit.
My favorite part about Travis' drumming is how subtle he is at creating little details within his drum parts, that by repeating them every time the section shows up simply become an unmistakable part of the riff itself. The two crashes in the intro on the and-of-1 and the 3 of the 3rd bar is a perfect example of this. I cannot imagine this song's groove without those. Absolutely genius! Great cover, Steve!
TOYPAJ was one of my earliest album purchases as a 12yo with pocket money to burn and all killer no filler not long after. To have you, the former drummer of Sum 41 and current drummer in your basement play songs from such seminal works of yours and other bands of the time is so amazing and I’m grateful for it. All the trivia and memories is just a blast to watch, thank you for sharing ❤🥁
Saw the video title and immediately thought....yeah Travis Barker...he's f'ing awesome! I don't understand the hate Travis gets in the drumming community. He is such a great drummer! Nice job on the play through too! I could tell I was listening to real drum sounds and real playing. Keeping it real! Very entertaining as well. Nice work man.
Stevo, love these videos man. I am just about to hit 40 now, got two boys myself and used to play drums in a pop punk and “screamo” band back in early 2000s. I relate to your story being a dad myself with pre-teens, who also stopped playing after my first kid was born. Now, I am forcing myself to properly re-learn techniques on drumming that I didn’t have patience for growing up. Back then we just wanted to jam and play shows and didn’t have RUclips to teach us everything like kids have now. Your music and Blink definitely played a big role and impact on how we wrote and played. I feel lucky to have experienced the pop punk scene in all its glory. Thanks for the videos, it brings me back!
Thanks man! Yeah that sounds like my situation - working on new styles and trying to master techniques ...The more I learn, the less I know ... but now I have the patience and maturity to really enjoy tp process! Good luck ! 🤘 All the best!

You are the reason I started drums (and a big reason I started guitar) with you amazing drumming and awesome energy in your videos (First sum 41 song I ever heard was In Too Deep, still my favourite to this day). Are you planning on playing with Sum 41 again (yes I know they disbanded) or are you potentially going to talk about your departure from Sum 41? Can't wait for more videos!
Stevo! Just wanna say it’s awesome to see you kicking around and playing drums still. I grew up listening to Sum 41 and even though we’re all old as shit now, there’s something very satisfying about being able to hear you tell those stories and watching you play drums. It’s good to see you’re still out there and doing well. Take care.
I always watching you play back in the day because you had so much emotion and passion, you are still an amazing talent cheers Stevo! Thanks for all the memories

Brother, I’ve been on a journey tonight… I was down a rabbit hole of prime Sum41 and early 2000’s punk/pop-punk/alternative shit. I’m glad I found your channel here now, I’ve been a fan for easily the last 20 years, and I’m glad to see we both made it out of the 2000’s alive hahaha

Hey Stevo i’m 13 and i discovered your band over the summer along with Blink 182 and I love your band!! Listening to Sum 41 and Blink inspired me to want to start playing guitar so i will ask for one for Christmas!! Also i’m reading Deryck’s book and it’s cool that you played football in highschool
