I think I can see where you're going wrong! You have the foundation for a good diet but not the right ingredients! I think finding a better alternative that you will still like in terms of chips and also cookies could help, even if it's just a lower calorie alternative to start. I don't know what your financial situation is but I would recommend looking up easy low calorie protein meals and going from there! You could also look into nutrient dense meals like for example the salads you make but with more veggies or even meat/meat alternatives (I don't know if you like veggies or meat). Like others have said I think counting your calories using an app on your phone might help too! I've been using "my fitness pal" and it's been a good start for me! I haven't been exercising at all sadly but counting calories still helps me lose weight. Wishing you much luck in this journey and to remember that you have to enjoy your diet for it to work in the long run! More interesting food I hope will help you enjoy your diet more! Much love!
Loosing weight IS a slow process, you can’t really rush it, but it’s possible, trust me. About the lazy part - you will need to find the time and strength, invest in your health or you’ll need to invest in medicine. What helped me was getting into a mindset of “I can do it, I will do it no matter what”. I’ve noticed you don’t drink anything? I urge you to drink a LOT of water, cause the human body can’t tell thirst and hunger apart. I also urge you to check for any mineral/vitamin deficiencies, cause when the body needs something you get cravings. In my opinion, you shouldn’t be counting calories, you should be looking at the ingredients - aim for natural and healthy foods with no sugars/seed oils, and eat mindfully (no phone, no distractions) till you’re full. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day, don’t start it with sugary treats, whip up some eggs or something, find the time to do that. For the protein, you can try baking with protein powder or buy protein shakes/bars with clean ingredients. Nuts aren’t protein rich, they’re full of fat (which is good and filling actually). For excercise, follow no equipment at home youtube workouts, they’re like 10-20 mins, doing those consistently will help to both loose body fat and build a bit of muscle. Also try to get rid of stress, cause when we are stressed (either mentally of physically, what I mean by physically is mornings without breakfast, not sleeping enough, etc.) we have a lot of this hormone cortisol, which basically doesn’t let us burn fat. In fact, we don’t really burn body fat while we are burning food, so fasting is also a good way to burn fat while literally doing nothing. Hopefully at least some of this info helps, good luck ❤️.
Here’s some way to make dieting easier and loosing weight more effectively. Turns out that weight loss depends on how much you eat by 80% while 20% is working out. The best way to loose weight is by doing a calorie deficit. You can find your calorie deficit by finding a calorie calculator. Just need to put your age, gender, height, and your current weight and you’ll get your calorie intake. I use my fitness pal because it’s more easier than weight watchers. I can eat all the junk food I want, but in moderation. Instead of a big bag of chips. I get those smaller ones because I can eat 2-3 of them because they are less in calories. If you’re craving more food at night or something. I tend to drink 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar with the mother in a glass of water. It helps me feel fuller for longer and helps curb cravings. Remember! Weight loss is not a fast process. It’s a slow process as it takes time. Try and eat 2-3 meals a day. If you restrict the harder it’ll become and you’ll end up binging. It can take up to a week or even 2 weeks to see your results. Don’t loose hope!
I'm going on 5 years whole foods. Junk food is an addiction I'm going on 4 years clean and sober too. So I know the power of food addiction. You don't want to do food prep because your lazy? Some people just don't learn till they are in the hospital. I'm here if you ever need help.
