Thanks for uploading Link. Been wanting to see this but been broke. Im still battling my addiction. I lost everything. The bikes, the money, the family. Shit fucking sucks. But Im on the way up. The worst is behind me. Thanks for sharing your story to the world in an honest way. Always been a fan since day 1.
You are all satanist/heathens, your childhood was destroyed, stop hiding the truth. You chose being a man and siding with the beast over the love, child and nature in you. Heathens and the beast are fueled by dead animal flesh and secretions.
How u holding up these days brother? I’m fucked myself still, easing back up slowly but surely, just can’t fucking kick this shit, the smacks got me by the damn sack. Shits even worse out there these days :/
Awesome eye opener for these youngsters who never heard of Link, Cinq, Micky Diamond, Metz, Seth, Etc......Johnny Dubb, I miss you Brother!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If you liked this then the book Mind Of The Demon will blow your mind, way more depth in to thing's they probably couldn't put on the film. Larry, thanks for putting this back on man
The fact that lemmy is narrating this makes even better then it already is. I cant believe i just how seen this. Ive been waiting for a mm documentary for so long!
When you are in true pain all you want is to be out of pain. When you are in true pain you can't do the things you love. Consequently you become willing to do what it takes not to be in pain. Unfortunately there is a price to be paid for everything, when that price is your family, friends and then your life then it's time to rethink how much do you really want it. Sometimes you have to except that everything is temporary and just be glad for the fact that you got to do what you love at all and realize you have to move on and find new ways to love whatever you are able to do without threatening your life to do them. Life is fast and short, if you got to do something you love even one time cherish it.
What a great film. My sisters and mom taught Metzgers kids from pre k-1st grade. I remember 4th and 5th grade when he’d pull into the school to drop off his kids, he’d get out and give autographs to us kids and take pictures, pretty much everyday. What a great guy and A fucking legend.
I like deagan, don't get me wrong, but I hate it whenever ppl think he started mm. I love link, wish there were more videos out ther. I've watched this documentary so many times, it's bad ass. Thank u link for this sport, and rip lusk!!
he invested a lot into mullisha though and without him a lot wouldn't be possible, I mean he made a lot of money and built a name for himself in x games & crusty demons...but mullisha is a whole team it was teamwork not any 1 person
Yea allot people dont know it was Larry that came up with the name & everything he was big fan of Metallica they have a song metal mulisia Deegan didnt come in until after Nathan and Trigger started doin there own thing
Na fuck that, thats the imagr xgames wanted to portray, trying to reinvent the fucking wheel here just should kept snowmobiles in the snow, Brian's act went splat on the ice that day
Crazy you say that. I had a buddy struggling with opioids for a while after a surgery. I finally decided to show him this movie and it actually motivated him to go to rehab 🙏🏼
Thank you Larry for letting me rip your compound!🙏🏻 Your mom is so nice it was great to meet her and make some wine! This is the most under rated documentary in the industry!!!! Take care man never sell out🤘🏻✊🏻
Dudes a legend who said fuck the mainstream moto image and said fuck it I'm doin shit my way. Glad he's got his shit straight and didn't od. Keep it rolling larry!
It is great to hear the commitment to honesty this guy had. It only looks bad if you want to be a puppet of the motocross industry. There are a lot of people on rat bikes having a great time out there who fit no mold and spend money on bike that should not be shit on. Celebrate what he did and what he didn't do doesn't matter. Passion, honesty even when it hurts is a quality that is being lost these days!
im 23 years old former pro rugby player / 100 meter sprint record holder in my age class.. without blowing my own whistle i had soooooo many talents... yet... i've done every single drug on this planet literally... no exaggeration... you name it.. ive hit it.. im currently awaiting referral to detoxification hospital due to a 3 year opiate addiction... and i spend my free time riding motocross bikes ( KTM ) This documentary really has helped me and it gave me hopeful vision for the future..thx
The one thing I have learned in life is that we all have to take our own paths and figure it out. Glad to see he is back on a better track to give his kids the support and love they will need to survive and thrive in this crazy world. Life is indeed strange.
awesome vid, been waiting for a long time to see this. Been a wombat fan since I first saw the crusty movies in the mid 90's. Hope you are still doing well Larry!!
Larry your looked up to by millions of people. Only legends are looked upto by many generations. My son is 10yr old he has a 2021 yz65 and loves it. Its more to riding than what meets the eye. He is hellbon wheels and has terrible a.d.d andbits the only thing he has found that makes him happy. So thanks to you n deegan for giving my son a true American hero. Thanks for keeping the sport going. ✌🤘🏁🚫🐂💩
Having grown up during that time and watching all those videos on repeat, I never realised Larry was one of the main guys who who started freestyle or the MM brand. Then to see the half pipe at the end was mind blowing. The sport has gone full circle when you see the $$ disappeared and comps died out, now it's about free riding again and crazy stuff like the half pipe. Talk about a total legend.
I was a fan since my first Crusty movie I got, Larry Your an Inspiration to me & a very cool person I'm from Minnesota & have been a freerider for many years. I loved doing hill climb's in huge mines -or- all day trail rides my family got me started young. Now I live in Baja, California MX. with my wife & seen Temecula CA. & have been too all the places you guys made famous in SO Cal the scenery is breathtaking. We just did the sign for the Glamis, "Beach Store" Larry if your reading I still ride & would love to get an invite to any event your involved in I support your attitude. Shit I ride for the freedom of the "Hell's Outcast" (Minnesota Club) & the Metal Mulisha every day #1deathcheatah!
Larry wrote to me on fb long time ago when I was addicted to Vicodin n Ambien. Shit meant alot. Couldn't believe someone as famous would hit me up. He's a fmx legend
Not sure if metzger or hart read here but went to my house in 97 in Seattle area had no money for gas making crusty 2 but were so passionate glad y'all made it 👍🏻
thank you for letting people know the real reason we get hooked on the killers. it is a very real pain that we as extremists suffer after multiple injuries.. key is a good dr that helps you come off slowly. sober 3 years!!!! keep kickin ass link!!!!
I have 18months clean broke my back in 96 I would do any drug I could to take the pain away I raced motocross in96 I was lucky to race Unadilla brometieoga ace walden. motocross was the best thing in the world to me
Great Movie.I remember when the first Crusty came out & all of a sudden life made sense cause there was other people out there just like me & my mates. Most of us struggled with addiction & some of us didn,t make it.Tomorrow I,m taking my kids Motocrossing out of respect of where we came from.Metal Mulisha 4 Life!Ride On!!
Link, I see you're trying to bring it back. The freerider attitude. Even all the FMX guys are a bunch of rockstars now. Just like the SX guys back in the day. Fight the power, fuck the scene, stay core.
'Freestyle motorcross has always had a home in Australia. The energy and aggression from the sport was a perfect fit for the World's rowdiest country'. What a complement. On par with a US judge refusing bail on the grounds that the offender was a flight risk due to the seditious nature of Australian culture. Must be something in the water down there.
When Crusty Demons video came out in 1996 it was obvious "the cat was out of the bag" and a new genre of riding was upon the scene. But it was what we see here. A lot of people got hurt. Because of the attitude we see here. But what great shows. If only they had more control. I was working in Temecula in 1986 and their was a dairy on the east side of the freeway. It made the worst smell in the late afternoon. The Temecula Stench.
he was surounded by a bunch of backstabbers fucks, but good that his mental is solid couldn't tear the man's psycology down. loved his disclaimer at the end. motocrossing spirit he manifested is reviving thx Larry
Nathan Fletcher gets around. He helped create Metal Mulisha and FMX. He's surfing Mavericks Invitational this weekend. Interesting to see the influence skateboarding had on FMX.
I've know most of the original motocross, super cross & free style riders since they were very young & without them & all their talents there wouldn't be any videos, stadium racing 4 all of you to go watch. Let alone without all these talented racers WHERE DO YOU THINK THE X GAMES CAME FROM☆☆☆☆
Great fucking guy man! Not ashamed of where he comes from or what he's gone through and battled!! Doesn't take any shit from anyone or apologize for who he is! I've been through the same, addiction and self destruction. Sober now for over 8 years, but the self destruction will die with me and probably be a good part of the reason. It gives guys like us a good reason, I hate when people say the strength as our personality type never lacked for strength, to help us at least leave some type of the self destruction by the way side!! You can tell he'll ALWAYS stay true to who he is! All of the most gifted throughout history have wake a very thin line between genius and madness!! Some of us don't know who we are without being self destructive, because that's how the strongest evolve. I've never known how to be creative without self destruction, and that's ok with me, because what better way is there to go out then for what you believe in and love!!! Thanks Larry, ass kicking fucking documentary bro!!
This is one of the best documentaries that is out there about the start of the freestyle motorcross revalution
💯
