      @@matthewhabib3818 Great question. Mary had many great lessons. on in particular was that she had the amazing ability to not dwell on negativity. If she felt like she was at the end of something negative, or even in instances when I asked her about her career, where she faced direct discrimination due to her gender, she moved on from it quickly and never let someone else's opinion overtake her outlook.

    I had the opportunity to share a dinner table with MARY at a benefit, honoring Bob Bondurant at the Riverside Museum. I was not aware of what MARY had accomplished until we began to tell stories and after about five minutes, I stopped talking and just listened to her for the rest of the evening what an incredible lady and such class I’m so thankful I had an opportunity to meet her and visit.

    I met Mary when I was racing Vintage Motocross in Arizona. She was the coolest, upbeat person I ever knew. I had her sign my trophy. She will never be forgotten.

    What a beautiful soul she had. I had the privilege of being Facebook friends with her and messaging with her. She will be greatly missed but what a legacy she has left!

    This is one of the best stories I've watched anywhere. To see her recall her life with such joy and pride is infectious. I hope to look back on my life one day with the same fondness. Rest in Peace Mary.

    Heard of Malcolm Smith's passing yesterday and tried to find stuff about him, and stumbled on this movie about Mary McGee, what a life ! What a woman. She sure got everything out of life ! WOW ! Thanks for putting her on a pedestal, she deserves that.

      Mary McGee passed away on 11/27/2024 at 87. Malcolm Smith passed on 11/28/2024 at 83. Keep twisting the throttle you two legends.

    Oh how I will miss Mary! What an inspiration, and a funny, generous person. This film really captures her warmth and humor, and her accomplishments. I was lucky to host her at our events, where she inspired so many women and men. Love you Mary.

    I had the great fortune of having Mary as a neighbor growing up. She was awesome, and the older I get, the more I realize what I learned from her. I can’t express how glad I am that a documentary was finally made about her incredible story. ❤

    I count among my blessings to have interviewed, written an article and later to have met Mary. Saw her several times after that and she always had a great smile and a positive attitude. I in a huge group of folks that will miss her.

    I remember when they did a F1 grid interview with her not too long ago and learned about her. I wish they did more grid interviews with people like this!
    Props to Lewis Hamilton too for helping to produce it.

      I too have raced (karts/motorcycles/sports cars) and followed motorsports since the 60s. It says a lot about our male dominated world that neither of us knew of her. Come on world, we can do better than this. Mary is an inspiration even after her passing. Lucky are those who got to know her!

    A woman so unpretentious that one would never know how, if you knew who she was, what she had accomplished, and how fearless humble and genuine she was in real life...
    Someone who after spending 15 minutes talking to her you'd feel as thought you knew her for forever.

      I came from a very extensive list of the "Who's who" in racing and the business.
      As I mentioned their names, to include my father, she simply replied, "I knew him..."
      I was trying to think how it was possible that I did not know of her...

    Fell madly in love with Motorcycle Mary and Mary McGee 2 minutes into the film. Valuable and important reporting about a person with splendid attitude. Three cheers all around for Mary and the makers of this documentary, Mary will live on in our hearts for sure.

    Mary Rocked! Both of my girls are in Heaven, I’ve thought about what they would have done & became? I’ve ridden motorcycles since the 70s so I met both their mother’s owning a motorcycle. Thank you for the story!

    Absolutely a new hero of mine. What a beautiful and amazing human being. Her mentality was perfect for success in life and racing. I believe another hero of mine, Kas Kastner, raced with Mary in SoCal. I think that is him on the grid in his White TR3 #56 @6:37 in the video. Thank you very much for sharing this production.
