Absolutely perfect. As a retired professional amateur racer who made a small fortune by racing dirt bikes (started with a big fortune!), I can safely say “You nailed it”
As a huge fan of the original movie, I must say this is brilliant. The dead-pan delivery, and subtle edits to the script and scenes are all spot on. Love the groovy music too. Thanks for all the effort and attention to detail. A very entertaining hommage. Mert, Malcolm and Steve, just to name a few, would surely agree.
This is bloody incredible lads Thankyou. I lost both my legs after getting electrocuted by 19,000 volts 3 times in a row at work 5 years ago. I still ride bikes and have started racing. On any Sunday has always been a big inspiration and a huge help since my accident, hell they were tough guys back then.. the light hearted video you boys have done here is just perfect.. thanks heaps for the laughs and don’t ever stop riding.. EVER. My doctors told me I’d walk again, I told them, yeah to my dirtbike.. im not living unless im nearly dead. If you think you can, Or think you cant, Your right!
From America here. My brother shared this with the family chat today. He and my other late brother both raced professionally back in the 70's. The love of motocross and cycles are still huge within my family. Terrific editing and kudos to everyone involved. Very funny stuff!!! Loved the ages....as that's what they are on the inside 😉
Damn hilarious man, couldn't have made a better spoof. The "speeds in excess of 19mph" and "leaves his wife and her personal trainer at home" had me dying 😂. Bravo my friend 👏👏
I can now pass from this world peacefully. I also have seen OAS too many times to count. Five motorcycles later (3 dirt, 2 street), I have mentally lived OAS my whole life. THANK YOU for your skill creating this Spoof masterpiece. This & On Any Sunday should be mandatory for any reputable film school's teachings.
The poster above my computer is a B&W still shot of Mert - Malcom - Steve jumping the sand dune while Bruce is bent over a tripod filming. Youv'e done it perfectly and I have no words other than thank you --laughed and enjoyed all of it.@@hoxtonmoto
@@hoxtonmoto More than welcome, it bought a real smile to my face. My dear old Dad was the chairman for the AMCA in the early 80s so we often had the original on during the crazy parties at my parents house back in those days. When you are recalling the ages of the riders had me in stitches, always thought Dave Aldana was lying about his age! 🤣 Bloody brilliant mate, cheers again!
I'm 72, love motorcycles, and I absolutely loved your work!!! I thought you were serious at first, but couldn't figure out the cognitive dissonance in what you were saying and what I was seeing, then totally fell in love with it. You're the best. Amazing!! Thx. I needed that.
Thanks for the comment, much appreciated. Yeah you're right, you'd have to have seen the original film to see/hear the subtle references - I'm sure most wont notice or care, but hopefully they are entertained.
On Any Sunday came out during the summer before my senior year of high school. Two of my buddies & I went to the big city to see it at a movie theater. We've gotten together & rewatched it several times.
Yes, brilliant spoof of the Classic movie, which fanned the embers of my motorcycling lifestyle .... 50 years ago, and counting! And love the subtle British humor too! THANKS!
What a Great job! The original movie is in my heart. You have put the paddles to it, and brought back so many wonderful memories! 😄😂👍 I'll have more please! Bruce Brown is Proud! Thank You.
This is brilliant5, and so nice to hear Ichiban Moto voice. I hope all is well, as I really miss his videos. Well done to all who made this video possible. Thank you for the laughs. Merry Christmas.
I saw the original one at least a dozen times and this one is right up there, it's essential to have a black belt in origami if you want to be any good
The highest number of points added up on somebodys hand😂 This is so good. Saw on any sunday at eight years old and still my favorite movie and its not even close!
i have been dying to find out where Ichiban Moto had gotten to. none of my machines have ran in three years! If there's anything you can do to bring them back for us, we'd have human sacrifices in your honor. my will to live is fading, and i only barely have the strength to reach the like button.
This was AMAZING! 4:27 What a master piece. I bet Mert is 106 or dead. I'm 30 and when I was a kid we had crappy dirt bikes and watched on any sunday. You nailed every joke. I hope a crap ton of people see this. Looked like a lot of work to film. When we got on any sunday 2 I about pooed my pants when I saw the supercross section. Do a video on Japanese speedway racing! Fair warning some of their bikes are a little weird!
I am also 20 years old so I remember watching the original back in the 70s when it was new. I cannot wait for this to come out on VHS.
I see what ya did there…ya almost got me 😂
lucky I am only 15, Do you think they will also release it on Beta tapes. I am still trying to save up for a VHS machine.
I have the movie, "On Any Tuesday" in 8mm movie projector form, no sound 😔📽
It's already on Philips N1700@@calthorp
I have slides of all these events 😎

Hilarious! Academy award worthy!!! Bruce Brown would be proud.
Somehow, this has to make its way to a much larger audience for example motorcycle film festivals, rallies, bike shows, etc.
Yep this honestly contends for a short film award, the production quality alone would win a prize.
Brilliant 🙂
Very well done, someone has watched On Any Sunday many many times 👏
It’s crazy that I just re-watched the original last night.
😂 this was gold! The age of riders segment was too good!!
Thanks - appreciate the comment
Haha heck yea Pete Stansfield looks good for 20 LOL
I played that segment 4 times!! 😅😂😊😅😂
On any Sunday is one of my favourite films of all time and I'm so here for this
This is just GOLD. Total gold. Made tears of laughter run down my face. Thankyou!

This was professionally done. Time period music. Old bikes , old riders and yet how many people here saw the original movie?

The bit in the original movie where the bug hit the one riders helmet and left a huge splat.
Memories
@@colinashby3775 that was the infamous B-52 bug!
Remember when the guy tried to make a signal fire & burned up that Husqvarna!?

A great funny take on the original movie. This grass track racing was actually cool.
I just watched On Any Sunday last night, hence how I saw this video. Pretty funny as the movie intro is fresh in my mind.
A most excellent, painfully truthful and harrowing peek into the life of a professional racer. See you an Cans film festival.
This is brilliant,I was at the Australian premier of the original in Sydney and your movie really nails it,thank you
