My main two reasons I used to not like the game so much - there was no option to be offline (which there is now an option to play offline) and the way certain characters' stories ended (even though there is hints it is not how it seemed). But, the hate on the game is ridiculous. From hate on characters or so on, funny thing is it ain't limited to games or movies, this has been happening for years in all media there is no escape from people looking at things cover level and treating it all as the most evil and "woke" thing ever. Most things they try to call out, I'm like okay you dislike it and that makes it woke or whatnot, strange way to spend your time hating on stuff. It checks 3 boxes I need to enjoy the game: It reminds me of another game I like (Saints Row IV) It has a character I like (Boomerang/Deathstroke) It's something to mindlessly do when I'm having insomnia or a depressive episode. As most people say lower your Arkham expectations and it's not that bad

I could answer that question, but every time I’ve tried to have an intelligent conversation with someone who’ve enjoyed it, it’s evolved into nonsense when we try to get to the bottom of. To be honest this game didn't bother me, plus I can count other games with repetitive objectives and gameplay but to me that never bothers me either. Since I'm a neutral and diplomatic with my opinions I can understand why people don't like it, but I still enjoy playing this from time to time, plus I remember Clownpuncher 139 saying this is the end of the timeline and there could be opportunities to make spinoff games with the other League members on what there lives were like before assembling the team, like Scott Porter's Flash, Dan White's Green Lantern, Zehra Fazal's Wonder Woman, and Nolan North's Superman, also because we know Batman's journey so well at this point.
I love this game. And yeah I’ve played the Arkham series from the beginning and aspects of this game bother me. But the game itself, the characters, gameplay even and I enjoy it a lot. I’ve put a few hundred hours into it and I’ll continue to play it long after it’s unsupported etc.

I enjoy the game as well. I felt kind of similarly toward Redfall. Once the somewhat greedy "live-service" bubble is busted, the game inherently becomes a more enjoyable experience. Redfall is a blast as a solo horror experience with tons of that grim telltale Arkane environmental storytelling. Suicide Squad plays fine, has unique parkour, and helps to scratch that Sunset Overdrive itch that I still get from time to time. I could do without the Sweet Baby Inc. contributions, but the core gameplay is polished, the gunplay is competent, and the city of Metropolis is organic and a beauty to behold... Good insight, solid video.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League isn’t one of the best games I’ve played. At the same time, it’s NOT one of the worst games I’ve played either. My positives: - Metropolis as the Open World (favourite locations are Hall of Justice, Daily Planet, and the Batman Experience) - The Character Designs, especially the Justice League! - Although it can get repetitive at times, I did enjoy the gunplay and traversal gameplay (Deathstroke and Captain Boomerang are my main two characters) - I did have fun with the Justice League Boss Fights (4. Batman / 3. The Flash / 2. Superman / 1. Green Lantern) - The voice acting is badass (especially Kevin Conroy’s performance- he’s the main reason why I decided to play the game) My Negatives: - The game’s story, particularly the second half, had some very questionable decisions- decisions I wasn’t comfortable with. - I was massively upset with how the game’s story handled the Justice League- especially Batman’s supposed death (however, this issue is slowly getting resolved now that the Justice League are returning) - All of the Brainiac Boss Fights are lame 😒 - The process of progressing the story in the post-content is very long and time-consuming - I didn’t like how people attacked Rocksteady online with their negative reviews. (I was massively disgusted that people used Kevin’s passing as a way of attacking Rocksteady)

I played the game and really enjoyed it. It has a lot of flaws. A LOT of them. I don't like the Riddler "puzzles" which are not really that interesting to "solve" as in Batman games. I think that the rank system in episodes is really frustrating. It just doesn't make sense to me why I should play the same mission all over again just to get an access to a new character. Perhaps the narrative could be more interesting. BUT! Stiil, the gameplay loop is really enjoyable most of the time. It reminds me of such games as Just Cause and Prototype where you spend time creating chaos and destroying everything in your way. It's really easy to return to this game.
A few things. Nobody should get death threats for liking a game and I’m sorry that happened. At it’s announcement I wasn’t excited. The squad didn’t need a game. Wonder Woman flash Superman gl green arrow etc all deserve games. I was even more upset when we learned it was tied to Arkham. They were using the Arkham name to sell copies. Game came out and I liked it. I didn’t see the 5/10s or 4/10s. It’s a mid game with a fun 10-20 hours of gameplay. It was a 7/10 mid game with a mid story. I defended it but the killed it with bad launchs of seasons. I think the reality is the loud minority is toxic on both ends. Obviously you have the “rocksteady went woke” losers who hated the game from the jump and rallied up their fans to do the same. But the other end is fans of the game who think it’s 10/10 best game ever and if you dare criticize the game they get mad and call you a hater. If you criticize Batman dying you get “imagine getting mad you kill the justice league in a game called kill the justice league”. Which is the most smooth brained take. The reality of the world is extremes sadly and the game was a victim of it. I will bite back at the idea that rocksteady did something different with the choice of the game. The squad is one of Wbs and DC top pet projects. Between the two movies, peacemaker, creature commandos, the waller show coming, the game, and Harley being in everything, these characters are some of the most pushed parts of dc. Not to mention taking that ip and making a live service looter shooter which has been done three times with super heroes alone and failed two times before this one launched. The game is about as cookie cutter as you can get. It sucks that the game couldn’t even get year one done with fill support but WB launched three flops in a row of live service and I’m sure this was the biggest contributor of the three. A few things. Nobody should get death threats for liking a game and I’m sorry that happened.
At it’s announcement I wasn’t excited. The squad didn’t need a game. Wonder Woman flash Superman gl green arrow etc all deserve games.
I was even more upset when we learned it was tied to Arkham. They were using the Arkham name to sell copies.
Game came out and I liked it. I didn’t see the 5/10s or 4/10s. It’s a mid game with a fun 10-20 hours of gameplay. It was a 7/10 mid game with a mid story. I defended it but the killed it with bad launchs of seasons.
I think the reality is the loud minority is toxic on both ends. Obviously you have the “rocksteady went woke” losers who hated the game from the jump and rallied up their fans to do the same. But the other end is fans of the game who think it’s 10/10 best game ever and if you dare criticize the game they get mad and call you a hater. If you criticize Batman dying you get “imagine getting mad you kill the justice league in a game called kill the justice league”. Which is the most smooth brained take.
The reality of the world is extremes sadly and the game was a victim of it.
I will bite back at the idea that rocksteady did something different with the choice of the game. The squad is one of Wbs and DC top pet projects. Between the two movies, peacemaker, creature commandos, the waller show coming, the game, and Harley being in everything, these characters are some of the most pushed parts of dc. Not to mention taking that ip and making a live service looter shooter which has been done three times with super heroes alone and failed two times before this one launched. The game is about as cookie cutter as you can get.
It sucks that the game couldn’t even get year one done with fill support but WB launched three flops in a row of live service and I’m sure this was the biggest contributor of the three.
Like I said nobody should get death threats over a game. It’s sad. It’s just sadly a case of toxic communities. Two extremes when the middle of the road fans suffer.
The gameplay is really good, I just don't like the writing
The game is nice…the end game is kind of repetitive but isn’t tht what looter shooter games are? You do the same missions 80x just todo a new mission at a higher level once😂 imo it’s fun
Now the end game is kinda of not explained well, the only real issue is how they want u to get mastery levels I have to level up one level just to level up a mastery I think thts kinda of dumb other than tht the game is fire asf and I love it been on it 3 weeks straight
people can enjoy what they want and I think the gameplay honestly does not look bad at all. I just absolutely with out a shadow of a doubt hate this story and everything it represents. I hate the philosophy behind the game and the people who wrote it. The Arkham games mean a lot to me and to see it be treated like this, I am just left hateful to be honest. I do not hate the people who enjoy this game at all, hell I understand what you guys are going through because I enjoyed Dragon Age Veilguard but I do have to admit suicide squad is a game I just can't even give a try.
The thing i hated about this game was the story but i liked the gameplay and had a good time playing the game for a bit. And its just a game
Been dealing with it since January. And it is hilarious yet confusing to me. Why does it bother you that we like the game? You don't like the game, ok cool, move on. Stop harassing folks who actually enjoy it. I have been called a shill as well and I'm like "I wish that I was getting paid 😂"
I love the game as well. Its not perfect but ease up and go find a life would ya?

Suicide squad always felt like a Sunset overdrive mixed with Crackdown videogame which i absolutely love.. the discord community have been there since day 1 putting up with alot of overhate for the game.. not perfect in any means but what game truly is? Im still glad we got a Suicide squad game & happy new years Swae!! 🫡

I don't get why you're mad that people enjoy a game. If you don't like it cool, but take you're hate straight to rocksteady and the developers behind it, no the community which enjoys playing the game.
