You’re the only video I found to mention the importance of where it sits and that walking around with them won’t do anything much. Thank you thank you!
Thank you so much. Until today I had never heard of these kegel exercising balls. I recently found out that when they did the total hysterectomy on me they removed something that if they had left it would not have left me with incontinence. That plus the fact that I have been celibate for almost 11 years has caused my problem. I am hoping that these will help me to not have to wear the pads 24/7.
I too had a hysterectomy done and it was vaginally. had I known that a cut across my abdomen would have spared me I would have done it that way. The ob/gyn did not inform me that vaginally removing it would cause the pulling of my organs and then I began having cystocele after having 6 kids. bladder surgery did work for 4 months to help with incontinence but that too was not explained to me beforehand. I'm hoping this will make for much needed support and I too have not had sex for 9+ yrs. tired of wearing additional stuff in my pants to protect myself

I learned about Kegel (Ben Wa) Balls from Everything You Wanted to Know About Sex - But Were Afraid To Ask... in 1970 or so. Nice to see somethings never seem to change.
Thank you after watching several videos I was very frustrated because they were all titled “how to use, etc” But they weren’t very informative at all. Little information was actually given. I was tempted to write to say that surely someone had vaginas and could actually explain the practical application of using these weights. However time and time again all that was said was you can use these and have great orgasms and you can use them many ways, you can even use them while walking around your everyday life, etc etc. my sex life is important, being in my 60s, being able to have good bladder control is important too. So thank you for your very thorough and informative video. It actually answered all my questions I had about these devices.
I was reading up on the kegal weights, another website that suggested once inserted your muscles will detect and contact around them and that's how they work. They didn't suggest you have to squeeze the pelvic floor to work it out. The website I purchased from said you can leave in for several hours. I'm waiting for mine to arrive and im so confused right now.
@Kirsty Till this is a great question, thank you. This is misinformation. There's no evidence at all to suggest that the pelvic floor muscles will automatically contract around the ball and in fact leaving a weight inserted for hours can actually stretch and further weaken the pelvic floor muscles. The Kegel ball needs to be used actively with pelvic floor exercises for strengthening and feedback about the correctness of exercises. I hope this information helps you moving forward 🙏

I'm sorry you're going through this. I had severe multiple organ prolapse resulting in a hysterectomy when I was 41. I just wanted to tell you I understand your pain. It feels like someone filled your abdomen with cement! You might want to wear a belly band to help with walking. Sending prayers for resolution 🙏🏻 Congratulations on your baby boy
Dear Emilia I'm so sorry to hear of your troubles. I'm really glad you've seen a PT to know that you are doing the exercises correctly - this is exactly the right thing to do. I do have some good news for you. It can take at least 6 months for Kegels to have decent recovery strength after childbirth and sometimes even longer. If you are breastfeeding then the pelvic floor will take longer to recover strength and function becausee breastfeeding changes your hormones (this is not a reason to stop breastfeeding and I am not advocating this, I am simply providing you with information). If you are already able to do Kegels then electrical stimulation is of no benefit - this is really only for women who cannot activate their own pelvic floor muscles. There is no need to stop going out, it is important to go out with your baby and mix with others to start feeling well again. Other women can be a great source of support too - never forget this and you will be able to help other women in your life who will go through this in the future too. I will make a video next week on how to manage rectocele and this should be online within the next month. In short the treatment for rectocele includes doing Kegel exercises and making sure to avoid straining when emptying the bowel. Many women find that supporting the rectocele with their fingers against the back wall of the vagina during bowel emptying can help emptying and reduce the need to strain also. It's important to have a diet that doesn't make the stool too bulky by eating too much fibre and adjust the fibre intake so that the stool is soft and well formed. You may like to watch this video on how to empty the bowel without straining and practice this technique too, here is the link ruclips.net/video/QDk93cvZAuk/видео.html Please feel most welcome to contact me further and let me know how your are progressing, this can and will improve best wishes to you Emilia 🙏

Being awere of breasfeeding can make it longer so dont urge to fruit of exercise, or mixing with other to be able to help others by chance if they have prolapse.. i m so sorry for my long reply to read. So many thanks again for your help and reply.
Are there any options like this for men to get proprioceptive feedback or add resistance. I struggle with consistency in finding and activating all the muscles. Sometimes I find all the mental strings, sometimes I don’t. Usually I have to go through and activate them one at a time as a warmup and then try to get all at once for the workout.
@ Kremer yes this is difficult isn't it. There are no devices for men that I would currently recommend and probably the worst thing you could do would be to add resistance when it's challenging to activate correctly as this is the first essential step. For proprioceptive feedback you can try feeling under the base of the penis where it attaches during your Kegel exercises as this may help you feel the contraction of the bulbospongiosis muscle shown in this video 1:39 in this video ruclips.net/video/MJ7EfGu03-0/видео.html I think that what you are already doing is correct. This will become more automatic with practice and progress from lying, to sitting and then standing for added strengthening when you're able to. All the best for your success, hang in there - this takes time and perseverance 🙏
@@michellephysio I’ve been getting my feedback exactly that way! One issue for me at least, don’t know if other guys, is that the feedback sensation from the spongiosis activation changes drastically with the amount of blood currently in the area. I’ll often loose that mental string and have to go find it again if there is a change. The others are pretty reliable regardless. I find sitting on a chair best for me because I can feel the muscle flex against the chair. I’d also like to say that yours is the first mental cues description of kegels for men that actually makes sense and seems to get all the muscles. Keep up the great work!
@@DougKremer sounds as if you're on track with what you're doing. With practice motor skills become more automatic, over and over again and then you can start adding the strength component too, keep up your good work, it'll pay off if you can continue. One day you'll find that you can just do it all together as your motor coordination improves. Theres alot of training neural connections from the brain invoved as well as muscle strengthening for it all to happen. All the best and I'm so glad my cues are helping you!
Great question I’m glad you asked! Yes you can - some balls say not to use with a prolapse but I don’t see the issue - the main thing is that you can get the right size to stay in place. There’s no danger with balls and prolapse it’s just that the prolapse can sometimes push the ball out of place so for some women the ball needs to be repositioned between exercises - hope this helps!
I put in the lightest and it came out right away. Then I put it back in and started to contract the muscle and I can keep it in. But If I don’t contract it falls out. I’m 5’11 and my bones are bigger so I guess theses muscles are also wider
Hey Moi this can happen for a number of reasons - have you tried this lying down knees bent? You should feel the retraction loop move inwards with your exercises. Also make sure you’re lifting inwards and not bearing down which is what many women mistakenly do, all the best!
Hi Michelle, thanks for the video. Would you recommend using weighted balls while pregnant? or is it better just to do the kegel exercises without any other “device”? I personally need to strengthen my pelvic floor muscles after my first baby was born last October, and another baby is coming in less than 6 months. I already have problems with incontinence. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks!
@mariapeinado2917 thanks for your comment. Definitely avoid using Kegel balls during pregnancy owing to the potential risk or premature labour using vaginal devices. Do your Kegels without any device, try to do them standing upright and sitting. As your pregnancy progresses you may need to do them lying on your side or kneeling on all fours as the exercises become more challenging with the increasing weight of your baby. Wishing you all the best!
Very informative Michelle, I had an incision 8 weeks ago so now I started using kegels balls which are much similar to Lelo lona beads but am feeling slightly/discomfort on my uterus while pushing them up, so does it mean my uterus is low or am still fragile due to my extopic..??
@charlotte Mabena yes I’ve heard of discomfort from other women who have commenced Kegel ball exercises within 3 months of pelvic surgery. I can’t say what is causing your problem at the moment however I would be inclined to wait until after 3 months before trialing again and simply do active unweighted Kegel exercises until then. I hope this helps!🙏
When I try and do my kegel exercises I don't feel as I have enough pelvic strength to do it as I cant feel anything when i try and do them, any advice will be greatly appreciated
@Kay Mills Yes this is a really common and challenging problem, I understand. There are some tips on this video for how to feel Kegel exercises ruclips.net/video/yLH3HtLdhn4/видео.html If you are still having trouble, it will be beneficial to see a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who can teach you these exercises so that you understand how to do them correctly. I have question about ben wa balls. I lost one 22mm ball which means I have left only one. Is it enough to use only one ben wa ball or I should buy new ones?
Thank you for the help. I just bought weights because whenever I’m sick I end up peeing and it’s gotten so annoying that I’m finally doing something about it. I am on my second weight off the bat, but after doing my second set it just fell out. Would you recommend staying on that same size until I can accomplish 3 sets without it falling out?
Hi Michelle, thanks so much on the review of these balls. Often I find clients do keep it in too much and they become too tight.. so great that you mentioned that! I am not familiar with all the different ones - luna and aquaflex... will need to check them out. See you soon! YO AND VAGINA 🌸
@Meena Kumar the time to see results can vary depending on many factors. Some women notice improvements within the first few weeks or starting exercises however if the pelvic floor muscles are weak it can take 5-6 months of training for full strengthening. Kegels need to be lifelong so better to start sooner rather than later. All the best! 🙏
Yes shouldn't be a problem with a mild prolapse, the challenge is to keep it in place as sometimes the prolapse moves the ball. She might start lying down and progress from there, cheers Harlie
@DAAN84.15 You can try, sometimes the ball falls out or is pushed out by the prolapse. If you’re going to start using balls, do so lying down, side lying first and progress from there. I hope this helps ❤️ 🙏
Hi Michelle and thank you so much for a clear and well instructed video. I have a question however on whether I should be focused on squeezing my urethra or my vagina. I have stress incontinence and have been doing kegels without anything inserted but have been squeezing my vagina. I have made a little progress and I have less incidences when I cough or sneeze but still loose a lot of urine when I exercise. I have heard other’s say that the correct muscles are the ones that stop the urine flow. That is a smaller squeeze than the vagina squeeze. Can you help clarify this or point me to one of your videos if you have one on this. Thank you, Sheryle
hello, I have pelvic organ prolapse which unlike incontinence i have to push and have difficulty starting the stream of urine or keeping it flowing, will these exercises help with that? or do i have to see a urologist?
@anareynoso1004 Hi there, great question, thank you. Yes you likely have a prolapse that is kinking your bladder tube and yes this makes emptying difficult I understand. First and foremost unfortunately doing these exercises won’t help your bladder emptying and pushing to empty or straining is a well established risk factor for causing and worsening prolapse in women. A good place to start is this video for women that teaches how to improve bladder emptying without straining ruclips.net/video/_RuG6SiVIA8/видео.htmlsi=Sa88t7X-GubRZOGH I hope this is helpful. The other 2 non surgical treatment options include: 1. support pessary (from a pelvic floor physio or gynaecologist) 2. self catheterisation ( see a continence nurse). As you’ll be aware, urine that is not emptied can cause bladder (and kidney) infection so this needs to be professional health treatment.
Hi, thank you so much for this…can you please share your thoughts on the Perifit and the yoni eggs? Thank you Also, I purchased crystals benwa balls and have no idea how to use it. Please help
Why when I insert the ball it gets sucked up in there very fast????like a vacuum..... I used to wear a diva cup I think my muscles are good there it's just all the organs had fallen I think due to my hysterectomy. I'm not in a bad situation but I do feel a small ball sensation as I've gotten older.
I feel weird asking this…but is lubricant necessary? Or would I be okay using what my body creates naturally without damaging my wall? Also, are you able to do these exercises laying on your stomach?
@Layla for some women lubricant may not be necessary. Yes kegels prone can be beneficial but when using a Kegel exerciser standing upright will be most beneficial. All the best 🌸

@- BIHAR _Entertainment I’m sorry to hear this. Yes this video is high on my to do list and will be released soon (you’ll get notified if subscribed) cheers
Hi Michelle, I have both bladder prolapse and rectocile. I am subscribed to your RUclips and your instructions and information has been so helpful. One question I have is your thoughts on the Kegel electronic devises. Are they effective for strengthening the pelvic floor and prolapse? Bev Heberer
@Beverly Heberer the electronic devices are not a magic fix for prolapse. The electronic devices can help some women when they have very weak pelvic floor muscles just to teach them how to activate these muscles, however, then the devices should be discontinued and the woman do the exercises using her own pelvic floor muscle power when she can. Using a machine won’t strengthen the pelvic floor, it just assists in teaching women how to contract the pelvic floor muscles when her muscles are very weak to start with.

Dear Michelle, how much can i thank you for your time to reply. You mentioned 2 important things 1) mix with others 2) help the other women with prolapse stories of them .
: i have a willing when i see Women with baby, ‘’you carry your baby dont you have a prolapse? ‘’ or a pregnant women , ‘’Are you aware of your pelvic floor’’ or i want to shout ‘’is there anyone who got better after prolapse? Which technique or which kegel movement worked best for you? ‘’ ... and so on . I dont have time during the day 3 very dear children under 5 years old.I wake up at night and have some search and exercise. Sometimes i cry when i exercise...
Buy Do you know what for a few days i m feeling stronger. I wasnt feeling my muscles to sit up exercise now i feel more my PF muscles for your sit up exercises.i walked a few hours 2 days ago. It made me happy.it 2.5 months passed now since i started . In these days i feel a bit stronger thanks God (alhamdulillah).Especially after exercise, a few hours later i feel benefits ,it feels relieved . Michelle, i really really appreciated your very long reply. Being awere of breasfeeding can make it longer so dont urge to fruit of exercise, or mixing with other to be able to help others by chance if they have prolapse.. i m so sorry for my long reply to read. So many thanks again for your help and reply.
~Seen a tens unit for pelvic exercises....do you recommend that type also?
Are there any options like this for men to get proprioceptive feedback or add resistance. I struggle with consistency in finding and activating all the muscles. Sometimes I find all the mental strings, sometimes I don’t. Usually I have to go through and activate them one at a time as a warmup and then try to get all at once for the workout.
@
Kremer yes this is difficult isn't it.
Can you do this with prolapse?
Great question I’m glad you asked! Yes you can - some balls say not to use with a prolapse but I don’t see the issue - the main thing is that you can get the right size to stay in place. There’s no danger with balls and prolapse it’s just that the prolapse can sometimes push the ball out of place so for some women the ball needs to be repositioned between exercises - hope this helps!
@@michellephysio Thanks for replying
I put in the lightest and it came out right away. Then I put it back in and started to contract the muscle and I can keep it in. But If I don’t contract it falls out. I’m 5’11 and my bones are bigger so I guess theses muscles are also wider
Hey Moi this can happen for a number of reasons - have you tried this lying down knees bent? You should feel the retraction loop move inwards with your exercises. Also make sure you’re lifting inwards and not bearing down which is what many women mistakenly do, all the best!
How long she should do them before see or feel any results??
Regarding weight balls, can we use those if not pregnant?
How often should we be doing these exercises?
I brought a set of kegels it comes with 3 different size, which one should I start first?
Thanks guys
The lightest first and than you work your way up..
Thank you..
im a visual learner, can i see you put it in?
Thank you so so so much for help🥰
@Helle Rasch you're so welcome - happy to help! ❤️
does this work for after giving birth 2 babies vagynaly ?
Will it be suitable for a Cystocele with prolapse
When I try and do my kegel exercises I don't feel as I have enough pelvic strength to do it as I cant feel anything when i try and do them, any advice will be greatly appreciated
Do the vibrating kegel exercisers work?
@Kay Mills Yes this is a really common and challenging problem, I understand. There are some tips on this video for how to feel Kegel exercises ruclips.net/video/yLH3HtLdhn4/видео.html If you are still having trouble, it will be beneficial to see a Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist who can teach you these exercises so that you understand how to do them correctly. All the best to you!🙏
Great explanation!
I'm glad you like this Carly, thank you so much for your support 🙏💜
I have question about ben wa balls. I lost one 22mm ball which means I have left only one. Is it enough to use only one ben wa ball or I should buy new ones?
Hllo mam where can i get the kegal ball
Your content is really helped a lot to me..
What happen if we do too much kegel repetition?..
Coming up later in this week's video on this topic exactly Akshay, stay tuned
Can this ball be used after hysterectomy
How long before we see results and how often should we do it 🙏🙏 thank you
@Meena Kumar the time to see results can vary depending on many factors. Some women notice improvements within the first few weeks or starting exercises however if the pelvic floor muscles are weak it can take 5-6 months of training for full strengthening. Kegels need to be lifelong so better to start sooner rather than later. All the best! 🙏
Gooooold info
My cousin has a slight prolapse. Can she still use the ball
Yes shouldn't be a problem with a mild prolapse, the challenge is to keep it in place as sometimes the prolapse moves the ball. She might start lying down and progress from there, cheers Harlie
Hello.. can i do this with stage 2 uterine prolapse?
@DAAN84.15 You can try, sometimes the ball falls out or is pushed out by the prolapse. If you’re going to start using balls, do so lying down, side lying first and progress from there. I hope this helps ❤️ 🙏
Do they work??
I’m kinda confused how to do the exercises
Wonder if it’s ok to use while pregnant?
Does this help with rectocele?
If this can help with incontinence ??
hello, I have pelvic organ prolapse which unlike incontinence i have to push and have difficulty starting the stream of urine or keeping it flowing, will these exercises help with that? or do i have to see a urologist?
And............. You've got extra decorations to hang on the Christmas Tree 🌲
Very insightful, Is it safe to use kegel balls while pregnant?
How can you use this ball with vaginal laxity (after multiple vaginal deliveries)?
I like to know about a pure lubricant please.
A brand I can use safely?
Thanks
@Cri Cri the “Ah Yes” and “Pjur” lubricants are both great quality without harmful additives to trial 🌸
Hi, thank you so much for this…can you please share your thoughts on the Perifit and the yoni eggs? Thank you
Also, I purchased crystals benwa balls and have no idea how to use it. Please help
Never heard of Kegel balls..... who needs them.? im fine no pressure at all since IM doing your videos....?
Do you working private trening and how much is?
Thanks
@ABC you're welcome!💖
Awesome
Why when I insert the ball it gets sucked up in there very fast????like a vacuum..... I used to wear a diva cup I think my muscles are good there it's just all the organs had fallen I think due to my hysterectomy. I'm not in a bad situation but I do feel a small ball sensation as I've gotten older.
thank you so much ^^
You're most welcome, Linh❤️🌺
Thanks heaps, I'd been doing everything wrong with this.
I have a kegel balls, but I'm having a trouble inserting in I find too big and does not fit me even with a lube
nice
Would this exercise also help people who have a hypertonic pelvic floor (too tense instead of too relaxed)?
I would say no
Please make a video on how do we get rid of stomach growling!
Omg🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣
I feel weird asking this…but is lubricant necessary? Or would I be okay using what my body creates naturally without damaging my wall? Also, are you able to do these exercises laying on your stomach?
@Layla for some women lubricant may not be necessary. Yes kegels prone can be beneficial but when using a Kegel exerciser standing upright will be most beneficial. All the best 🌸
Why do I get anxiety when I try to do Kegel exercises?
I am allergic to the glicerin in the water based lubricant
First attempt today, the set I got didnt come with much more info other than dont wear longer than 6hrs every day 🤦🏻♀️ I was actually disappointed in the lack of information this product provided.
I'm so glad I found this video
I have bowel incontinence, for 8 years i can t control bowel movement,, could kegel exercises beneficial to me please reply me i m very depressed
@- BIHAR _Entertainment I’m sorry to hear this. Yes this video is high on my to do list and will be released soon (you’ll get notified if subscribed) cheers
Thought this was gonna be a new Kegel technique for men..........
Hi Michelle,
I have both bladder prolapse and rectocile.
