Hi Shelden!! I came back here, and I may have 1 or 2 ideas that just came up, on this matter. When I'll build my 1911s,I will paint the interior in black. Because it is a headache to paint interiors after it's done. So I will do it "while" I have it "open". But the black paint will provoke attrition. So, I thought maybe paint with a normal graphite pencil... What do you think?? What do guys who may read me, think?? Thanks for the video!!
Can you do a separate video for each part? Ive tried this before but i kept getting frustrated because i couldnt figure out some of the parts and i couldn't find ANY videos showing them
Nice, i attempted to make the M1911 aswell, but i could never get the magazine right. Are you going to make the magazine from paper or just keep the metal one ? I would really appreciate a tutorial for the magazine although i dont papercraft anymore
Thank you! I'm probably just going to use the metal one because it is easier. I always had trouble making a paper magazine as well, so I know how you feel lol.
Hello!! I found your videos yesterday night, and I am an old fellow, who loves replica guns, handicraft works and all connected to what I've seen. I also love the 1911 even though I did never see a real one so far. (Guns are almost 100%forbidden in the country I live). I realized the difficulty you have getting coils. I may have some suggestions on that. I will write a text, telling you with some detail, but English is not my native language. Do you have an email I could use, please?? 1000 thanks for the videos, and your good willingness. I will watch them all!!
Hey Thanks for the comment! Also thank you for your interest! I have a huge interest in guns too and I have only been able to handle a real one a few times. I just love the mechanics of how they work! It is so satisfying to learn, understand, and then replicate something even if it takes a few tries. Thanks for the tips with the springs! Also do you have another social media platform I can reach out to you at? I can send you my email through that. Then it won't be displayed publicly! Let me know! Thanks - Shelden
I have failed many times making the hidden blade and I wanted to try the m1911 but it looked too complicated for me to make without any proper tutorial vids.

I will probably explain the basic function of all the parts once it is finished.
Hell yeah, dude. Now we can see your progress in hd, can You be specific on certain parts i.e. mag release? Good to see you here on YT again
so would you make the magazine out of paper as well ?
I might but that would probably be later.
and what about bullets
Can you provide the template PDF (like your hidden blade). It will help a novice like me.
Also if you can show how you build each part will help.
What kind of paper did you use for the whole gun ?
I just use normal printer paper but super glue helps a lot to make it extra strong
@@SheldenCaudill thanks for telling me

Looking at your channel yesterday!
Really? Wow! Hey you build paper swords? That is really cool! I just checked out some of your vids. :D
Shelden Caudill thanks man, sorry for the late reply (month late) but I love your vids. Right now I'm working on a Paper USP-S!
Its great to see you back!!! I'm sorry, but can you explain, how do you reach a 1.5:1 scale on this blueprint???? And good luck with your projects!!!
It's kind of hard to print it out to the correct size. I usually just trace it of the screen now because it is easier.
How many 16-layer pieces did you use for the feeding ramp and the hammer?
please finish dual action plz great to see you back
Thanks! Yeah I'll work on that again.
Do you use a real firing pin or you create that out of paper aswell

If you type in M1911 blueprint in google it will be the first link lol it's super helpful.
YOURE BACK!!! Is it possible to get a template?
Thanks for the comment! Here is the link to the pdf that I used brlcad.org/design/drafting/M1911-A1_REDUX.pdf
Shelden Caudill can you give a detailed tutorial? I have a hard time understanding the template.
Finally
Yayyyy
Yay! Thanks for the comment!
I need templates
Only reason I don't want to make this is because I don't have any springs for the moving parts.
You can find springs in old air soft guns and stuff.
shelden u r back plz reply my comment on ur dual action hidden blade comment
my printer cant print well.
How did. You get the blueprints the right size to print off? Also him do you know the thickness of the triggered guard puzzle pieces?
Make a tutorial please. I just started paper crafting recently and I would like to make this 😊
Yeah I might later on. I would like to see how well I can make it work haha. You just started paper crafting? Nice! What kind of have you built?
I have failed many times making the hidden blade and I wanted to try the m1911 but it looked too complicated for me to make without any proper tutorial vids.
Oh yeah. I know what you mean. It looks very complicated, but it is actually pretty simple if you look at each part individually.
Awesome man!
I just made a paper 1911 as well, it’s not as good as yours but I would apprrciate if you checked it out
