Thank you, was just about to say this. The Silvia "S" badge is completely different, and the R33 and R34 regular models use the badge on the front too. The R33 and R34 GT-R ditched it.

He was also wrong when he said that r33 gts-t's came out in 1994. The build plate on mine is 1993 :)
Also that, yeah. The R32 GT-R and the R33 GTS coupes and sedans overlapped for two years, as did the R33 GT-R and the R34 GT coupes and sedans for a year in 1998.
While John seems like a nice guy... His knowledge of JDM Cars is horrible. So many mistakes.

I installed stereos when that equipment was brand new. That shelf is from before subwoofer boxes were a thing, it's an infinite baffle mount. Pretty sure Carrozerria (Pioneer's Japan-only car stereo brand) made that shelf, and included 2 subs plus an amp underneath, as an aftermarket package when that car was new. The lower blue logo, Rockford Fosgate (period correct logo), makes the outside smaller speakers (Punch series 3-ways), which are from the 2010's. The subwoofer to the left is a Kicker Comp, sold at the same time.
Great, was looking for more info. Is it safe to say the Greddy logo is just tacked on?
@@samuelorellana2603 Yes, tacked on at some point. If memory serves, Greddy included that badge with their body kits.
The AMG Galants were waaaay before the Daimler-Chrysler partnership. AMG wasn't even owned by Mercedes yet at the time. All of the AMG-tuned Galants were non-turbo FWD models, they made around 170hp naturally aspirated (about 30 more than stock), and the Type-1 models had an insane body kit. It's very common for people to take the spark plug cover and put them on a GVR4 or DSM or literally any other car with a 4G63 engine from that period. It's also worth noting that the Eclipse GSX got its 4G63T engine from the GVR4, not vice versa. The GVR4 came out in 1987 in Japan, 3 years before DSM's went for sale in the US.
The old galants, are super cool, unfortunately, I can't find any mods anywhere for my 2011 model

I had a few Mini Cooper Classics... 10" by default and on one of them I upgraded to the amazing size of 13" never thought 3inch would make that big of a difference! (inb4: that's what she said)

There’s barely a 100,000 dollars of R rated cars in there...
In the US the GTR cars go for around 35/40k. The JDM supra TT cars go for 25/30k. Its probably around that. Now if we take the JDM auction cars or the CANADA cars because they got them 10 years before us its about half of that.
I haven’t seen a single TT Supra go for less that 40K in years. They’re expensive just about everywhere.
But you ain't gonna find something more cleaner inside or original tuned or special editions like few of them..
so yeah.. few real gems in there but definitely just for connoisseurs ! ;0)
Yup. Like the Asians in the UK. Most less than grade 3, most modified badly, most automatic. All dirt cheap to buy in Japan.
What I love about Tavarish is he always makes friends with the people in his videos ... like it seems everyone genuine enjoys his presence

Converting that NSX to fixed headlights from the pop-ups is sacrilege. The pop-ups are iconic and screams 90's.

@@mcnugget7775 understandable, since we never got them in the US. but as i say, get educated fool! don't be angry you didn't know something, forgive and learn. just a basic understanding of the basic regulations of kei cars such as their 660CC engine displacement limit and small road tax in Japan is all you really need to learn, as well as basic knowledge of the A-B-C kei car war in the 90s.

I watched this vid and read some of the comments a few days ago, and it's been playing on my mind a bit.
A couple of thoughts -
People criticising a person for mispronouncing a non native word is usually a sign that the person reads more than they talk. This is a good thing.
There is a lot of criticism that the guy imported automatic transmission models of cars. This struck me as someone who knows what sells. Personally I agree that manual gearboxes are better, but not everyone does. Tavarish always impresses me with his knowledge and easy manner, but not everyone is as chilled in front of a camera.
Can't help feeling there is a lot of bitterness that the guy has a pile of awesome cars that most of us won't ever have.

the power window on the mighty boy kei truck is a aftermarket accesssory. you stick on top of your hand crank window winder.
I work at a car museum with a lot of micro and kei cars in the collection. Autozam is probably my favorite to drive, ours is tuned and has a few upgrades and is truly a pocket rocket. I've never driven a car I felt comfortable going into a turn full throttle besides the AZ-1.

I thought it was Bugatti that used them on their EB as well as Lamborghini. Maybe I'm wrong.
@@tommyallison94 close, but they dont use the same headlights. Where they differ is the EB headlights are wider on the bottom of the housing.
