Such a beautiful and clean build! Very tasteful and still retains the TJ look while increasing the off-road capability of these vehicles. Next to stock, jeeps like yours are the ones that will be extremely valuable 30+ years down the line if you're into classic jeeps. Ask me how I know? I own a first-year 2003 Jeep TJ Rubicon with 49K miles that I ordered from the factory while deployed flying combat missions in the Air Force over Afghanistan in 2002. She is mainly stock "looking" on 35s with a 4-inch lift but has many mods underneath making her hardly stock--LOL!! Cheers to you!!
Like everything, if well taken care of and properly maintained I’m sure you can get great mileage out of them. Just aren’t as common to see with that amount of miles as the 4.0L is.
First thing you do is get that rust proofing stuff that JB Weld makes you can find it at Menards or Home Depot. I believe only spray the inside of that frame load it up.
I agree, the stock look looks great I have a SAHARA which I love the stock look w/lift kit also need to change stock rims to which you have thank you brother happy trails
love your tj man. i got a 2000 sport that i’ve been wanting to modify for the longest. around how much have you spent so far on it? also did u install the lift yourself?
upgrade that steering ASAP with 35s your gonna need it nice jeep lose the flairs and get a delete kit it covers the holes in the tub they look cool also mine is an 05 with a 4.5 in rubi express LONG ARM with metalcloak springs they ride a bit better SYE kit short shaft on 35s with 456 gears did you regear?? I have a set of rubicon express 4.5 in coils if anyone is interested
Yes, I am running stock axles with upgrades. Chromoly shafts in the rear and RCV's in the front. Dana 30 can handle 35's fine, but the Dana 35 is still eventually getting replaced with a 44.
I've been looking at 03/04 TJ's lately. First i was trying to buy one with about 85k or less miles(sticker shock). What was the criteria you were looking for when you started shopping, And what would you consider to high of mileage? Thank Brent.
I wanted a 2003-2006 TJ with the 4.0L end manual transmission. The manual is simply a preference, and the automatic would be fine too - just more expensive to rebuild when/if the time comes. I was looking at anything under 150k miles, because anything below 100k miles was out of my price range. I would consider anything over 200k miles to be “too high” for me to feel comfortable investing in. It all depends on what you intend to use it for too.
One of the cleanest and most well done TJs ive ever seen!

Are you running it with stock gears and axels.
What wheels, size and offset? Also how high is your lift?

The exposed roll cage tube next to the head rest does not look very safe.
