"I never felt like Ethan, I felt like me!"
This statement is so accurate. I recall myself saying "Holy fuck, she cut MY arm off."
True, and that's where resident evil 8 fell apart for me. The game rather wanted you to feel and connect to ethan when he really isn't all that interesting
I find it funny that both resident Evil 7 and Resident evil the Final Chapter were released at around the same year and yet Resident Evil 7 did its job well. Yeah what are you doing go out and buy it and forget that Resident Evil the Final Chapter ever existed. RE is back in business baby!
MrDarkSol your opinion
Ben Walker the final chapter made $200 million+
KB Boomin dosent constitute a good movie though. Fifty shades of grey made mad money and so did the sequel and they are both shit
Ben Walker money is all that matters haha no one gives a fuck bout critics
KB Boomin why are you even arguing with me? I never said the film wasn't popular but the guy I responded to gave an answer to the original comment as though he believes final chapter was better or did just as well as 7
Oh trust me, you’ll have enough time to play breath of the wild in 2020
lmao
Still waiting on it
Lol the pandemic 😷 😂
It's been a while since his last game review.
And that was Star Wars: Battlefront EA.
roderickuw It was Doom actually.
Aaron Clausen Oh yeah, now I remember. It's been so long since he did a game review I forgot.
Thanks!
roderickuw almost a year.
YEA BETTER DO A MASS EFFECT ONE TOO, its what made me subscribe. (ME3 ending rant)
*WELCOME TO THE JEREMY JAHNS FAMILY SON!*
Varinder Bhandal in before 500+ likes on this comment

Varinder Bhandal YES! !!
this guy is fucking everywhere
i was here before this was top comment

Me:"have you tried praying it away?"
Excited Cat bruh...
TFS refrence lol
Lol that TFS reference 😂😂
CRAAAAAAWLING IIIIIIIIIIN MY SKIIIIIIIIIIIN!!!!!!!!
Ulquiorra Schiffer1 lol you busted his ass
Beat the game twice, second time was on Madhouse difficulty and that right there was true survival horror. It even switches up the monsters appearances, and item locations, so it's like playing a new game.
Sooo, I'm guessing it's better than the movies?
which movies? Resident evil Degeneration and Resident evil Damnation?
Prima Dayna the shit I took earlier is better than the movies
The CG movies are the only ones worth mentioning
Prima Dayna what isn't better than the resident evil movies?
Cocoa Quiet
Even those are nothing special.
Not as horrible as the live action ones, but not really a must watch either.
I just LOVE his game reviews. Very real, helpful, informative and honest. Thanks Jahns!
Capcom has gotten back on form with Resident Evil 7 and...
HOLY SHIT!!! THEIR REMAKING RESIDENT EVIL 2!!!!
Kain VS Predator They're*
Been waiting patiently for that Remake. X
TheMightyEgan. Correct.
vevans0009. Waiting patiently for over ten years.
Hopefully while they are at it, they might also remake RE Nemesis and combine all the campaigns onto one game disc, since the gameplay of RE Nemesis is almost identical to that of RE2, enough to pass as an RE2 expansion pack or unlockable bonus campaign.
Then, they could also officially rename "Resident Evil: Code Veronica" to "Resident Evil *3*: Code Veronica" and eventually give that its own separate remake. That way, all the main Resident Evil games, before RE4, will have finally been updated for the modern generation.
Still waitin on that Zelda review, Jeremy.
Beny Neill he already reviewed it.....
True
@@mrfister1234 It's a joke
6/10 pretty boring.
resident evil is scary but i replayed resident evil IN 3 DAYS TIME WELL DONE TO MEE again and i can for sure resident evil 7 scared mee and still scares mee moore than re 2 remake well i did forget most of the jump scares wen i did play it again AND I WAS 10 but i still find it scary mor than re 2 remake
Just started playing it a couple nights ago.. I give it: 10 heart attacks out of 10.👍
SPOILER TALK I NEED IT
"'Where ya goin, boy? Yeeeeeeehhhh!' and he starts swinging his thing at me..."
Think about that for a second XD
Lol
You just made my night so much better.
Hey r u gonna review Horizon zero dawn or Mass Effect Andromeda by any chance? Would love to hear your thoughts on either of those games
*Jeremy Jahns* I Couldn't Agree More With You On Everything You Said About *Resident Evil 7 Biohazard* ... AWESOME REVIEW!
Man. When I saw a review for this up, I thought, "well that took very long for Jeremy to actually review this game..." but I'm glad that you did man. I was hoping that it was a game you would play and enjoy!
I love how realistic Ethan and Clancy were. they reacted to almost everything a person would in real life.
*Obligatory joke about how Jeremy hasn't uploaded a game review in forever*
Talibanana oh, sorry. Those were obligatory? I forgot.
This game is absolutely incredible and has some replayability to it as well
So that's it, huh? We're some sort of Resident Evil 7?
Clumsy Nemo get out...
I've seen this joke 100 times but still laugh every time haha
Why does this joke never get old to me?
Clumsy Nemo I rate this comment a 0/10 for lack of originality.
everytime lol
Resident Evil 7 is... Awesometac-- oh, Full Price.
Where you goin boy, yeeeeee
-Jeremy Jahns
I loved this game because it was the first real game for the PSVR and it didn't disappoint. I've never had so much fun being scared in my life!
dude i know ur super busy but i really lovve your game reviews and would love to see more of them
Welcome to the family son
I just finished playing through the game myself and while I can't call it a Game of the Year contender, it is definitely up there as one of the top games of the year. It looks like it is really going to be supported with more DLC content so I could see ratings for this changing based on what new content gets release. Great Video as always!
this was my first Resident Evil game and what a way to be introduced to the series I absolutely love this game
Jeremy I've followed your videos since 09. I love everything you do bc it always puts me in a good mood no matter what. I've always wondered, though, about your process of making a video review. Is all improvised? Do you have a script? How many times do you watch a movie before you make these video? And do you take notes during the movies? Lol
Idk I've always just wondered these things. You probably won't see this but if you do that's awesome!!
you should stream games on twitch
Completely agree with this review. I love this game. I honestly think some people complain too much about it being first person, but it really is a great game. Also, the madhouse difficulty is not just an increase in enemy strength, but enemy behaviour, enemy location and item location is different and makes it feel like a different game than normal difficulty.
"Groovy!"
"That's not groovy!"
Yesss! Thank you for reviewing this! Did you see my comment or did you plan on doing this from the start? But I agree 100% with the review.
Am I the only one who wants a first person remake of the original Resident Evils? I would love to see the Spencer Mansion in VR
Jeremy should do more game reviews. They're my favorite thing on his channel
This is definitely one of my all time favorite games my only nitpick is it's short I blazed through this in one night my favorite re game will always be the remake hd remaster but this is a close 2nd followed maybe by re4
I absolutely loved RE7. It's tied with RE4 as my favorite RE game. This is how you do a horror game. I actually played through the entire series leading up to 7 and I didn't really feel a sense of dread playing the classic games. But I was constantly on the edge of my seat with this game. From start to finish I was tense and fearful of what lies ahead. Especially the basement. Oh how I hated the basement. When you return there during Lucas' game I probably spent 10 minutes in the storage room not wanting to leave and go back to the basement. Plus the creepy ambiance really added to the tension. It wasn't even the monsters or the Bakers that made it scary, it was my own paranoia. There were a lot of moments where there weren't any enemies for quite some time but I didn't feel safe. I was always tense and waiting for something to pop out and attack me. That's why I love psychological horror and why I think this is the perfect RE game. It's not the game trying to be scary, it's your own paranoia that freaks you out. Which is also why I think first person was a great decision on Capcom's part. It really added to the tension when you can't see what's going on around you and there could be a monster lurking behind your back; and as Jeremy said it does make it more personal. You don't necessarily feel like you're playing as a fictional character, which is partly the reason why I decided to choose the Mia route for my first playthrough.
I can't wait for your Zelda Review in 2020!
The characters and the story of this game was fucking superb. That one scene with Jack near the end of the game was tear-jerking.
I'd watch a Jahns v Stuckmann movie.
I hope we get a review for the Resident evil 4 remake from Jeremy!
Aside from the game having occasionally silly dialogue and plot points it succeeded in terrifying me, not only through the Bakers but the sound design and atmosphere. Every time I heard a new noise I jumped out of my seat.
The first part of the game really felt like a survival horror again. And it was new that you had to evade the enemies, rather than shooting them down! However in the end, with all the weapons you get, it felt like it was going back to being a shooter game. The ending could have stopped the moment with the syringe, but instead it became another big boss fight. The puzzles were okay! But it is a welcome return to the RE franchise.
disappointed jeremy didn't go until full depth with this game review is there going be a spoiler video next or no?
Jeremy never does full depth of nothing, he is a basic reviewer with a good sense of humor you want depth watch Chris stuckmann
luis fernandez you lost credibility when you said "chris stuckmann". He is also a very basic reviewer.
luis fernandez get out Chris stuckman
No, he goes on depth with the movies, not only he talks about if the plot of the movie is good or no , he also talks about cinematography and camera angles, that's a critic and he is probably the best on youtube besides yms I don't know what you talking about he is far from being " a basic reviewer", he is a critic, jahns is a comedian
luis fernandez chris only goes in depth in his analysis videos. His reviews are pretty basic and he fanboys a lot(see his cowboy bebop review). He is one of the few RUclipsrs that I think is fake(he is trying to be someone else in front of the camera). Yms and Jeremy both feel much more genuine. Chris has gotten better since His earlier reviews where he used to say the plot and he liked it or not. But he is far from a good reviewer. Granted he is getting better.. If you want critical thoughts then watch yms or even nostalgia critic. If you want a fan to talk then Jeremy is the one
I love your game rating system that is so concise and exact to the situation people are looking for in a game.
Damn, I'd really like to see Jeremy review more video games.
Crazy he decided to do a review on this! I'm planning on playing this as soon as I'm done with Fallout 4 (almost done) and maybe dark souls 3
0:11 so Jeremy did you beat it yet?
I bought the game on release, I've beaten it countless times, beaten it on Madhouse, unlocked all items, collected everything. I can't get enough of this game and the DLC is fantastic. Highly recommended to any horror/RE fans out there.
This movie looked terrible. I'll just see Logan again.
Movie? It's a video game.
Nicholas Viespoli gr8 b8
MRTUPAC28 That's the joke.
To the person who comment that Jeremy was referencing the movie resident evil "smh". The movie should of take notes and been this game. To mistake this game for the movie is a disrespect.
MRTUPAC28 DUMBASS its a joke
not been a sub long enough to see previous game reviews but yes... do more!
THE SCARIEST ONE BY FAR!!! You will be a few years older as jump scares take a few min from you!!! =D
It's great you are still making videos man. You've been around for ages. You still look the same though :)
I'm still praying for a Witcher 3 review
at some point
eventually
after the inevitable heat of the universe
maybe
Out of curiosity, how many of the _Resident Evil_ games have you played, Jeremy? All of them or just the numbered entries? Because some of the non-numbered entries (namely _Code Veronica_ and the _Revelations_ games) are actually better than some of the numbered entries (namely _5_ and especially _6_).
came out 37 seconds ago. already 1 dislike. hater gonna hate
Its Chris Stuckmann xD
Ganesh - don't ever fucking say that shit again
Bee Movie HD 2007 Adventure/Comedy or wat tho
Ganesh - It's probably Grace Randolph. smh
Jake G 2187 Fucking Grace Randolph.
I wasn't expecting to like RE7 that much prior to playing it, simply because I don't like "first person" perspective in games. However, in this case, it did make the game scarier. As you pointed out, I felt like it was me in the game, & not me playing the part of Ethan. I never got the Magnum, I spent my coins on other things. Like you, I also had more ammo left over by the end of the game than I was expecting, probably because I used the knife & the flame thrower more times than any other weapons in the game. Over-all, I really liked RE7. Mostly because I felt scared. I jumped quite a few times & even dropped the controller a few times as well. I also have to agree with you about all the sounds you hear when exploring the house. You truly do feel like something is going to jump out at you any second. Over-all, I really liked the game. Especially that creepy song that plays during the first part of the end credits. Are you going to review "The Last Guardian" ?
Im a huge fan of resident evil. My real name is Ethan, and I'm just enjoying this game more, saying my name in this game which is like I'm that person. Hahaha.
lol :)
JOSHua esQUEJO I know how you feel! My name is Chris!
It's really special...
Christop The illusive Man Ethan meets Chris.. HEY! 😄🖑
Same here. The immersion level was crazy intense.
Tasha Yar lol, Jeremy you've reached a new level of awesome
0:09 Ok, it's 2020, where's the review?
Is worth buying full price the highest rating? Or does he give games awesometacular too?
RE7 Biohazard is definately worth buying...
.
.
.
at full price.
I really love this game, as a fan of resident evil who was really hoping that revelations 1 and 2 were a sign of capcom trying to go back in the right direction with the series 7 for the most part really couldn't have been a better payoff. The story and atmosphere is great self contained, and for the first time in a while I was really invested in the mystery and trying to survive the game. It also is seeming to have some interesting ties to the cannon so far that are are obvious enough so we know it connects to them but also vague enough that I want to more more and am looking forward to the free dlc extension that seems to address some of these questions. Overall good show capcom you took a game that seemed like it was trying to cash in on p.t. and vr but instead made it one of the most faithful and great survival horror games in the series since 4... that just happens to also be playable in vr (impressive but I won't be investing in vr anytime soon).
Resident Evil IV is and will always be the best Resident Evil game
I just bought this and I'm in love with it, the atmosphere and unique experience is what sold me on it
My rating of the series:
Re1: 8
Re2: 8.5
Re3:9.5
Re4:8.4
Re5: 7.4
Re6: 8.99 (Keep in mind that I've only played through Leon's and Chris' campaigns, but if Jake and Ada's are as good as Leons it will be my favorite)
Re7: 9.2
Re5 is the best.
I too wish there was more monster design variety in the game with different abilities like with how they did the fat molded monster who spewed toxic waste at you. They needed more monsters with different abilities like that and made some of them that they only thing you can do is run from them. I also wish the house was bigger and that you got to explore more of it and had more than one of the family member chase you thru it at the same time. THAT would have made this game a 10/10, imagine having both the mom and dad chase you at the same time and they worked together trying to find you.
I have not played the game myself yet (still do not have a PS4), but I sometimes wondered if adding these types of creatures would have fixed the problem of low regular enemy variety:
1.) An infected canine enemy to be a spiritual successor to the Cerberus, Colmillos, and Orthrus.
2.) An infected Louisiana gator that dwells in swamps and deep water, waiting to ambush you, like the Neptune sharks in RE1 or regular crocodiles in RE5.
3.) A mass-produced B.O.W. enemy that you start regularly encountering in the later chapters, to raise the stakes and replace some of the previous small fry enemies you have been fighting. The Hunters from RE1 had that role when they began replacing the zombies in the mansion.
4.) An original enemy that requires a unique strategy, weapon, or tool if you are going to stand a good chance of defeating it, such as the Mimicry Marcus, Garrador, Regenerador, Glasp, or Rasklapanje.
The game already has your regular zombie-like mutants (common molded and blade-armed molded), an enemy like the Chimera that tries to disorient you by attacking at different angles (four-legged molded), the monsters acting more as environmental hazardous obstacles (the mutant beehives), the small vermin to pester you (other mutant insects), and a giant bullet sponge acting like this game's version of Executioner Majini, Scagdead, Vulcanblubber, etc. (the bloated Molded).
Wow! How'd you get the game so early?
Shaheem Iqbal lmao
This looks like it'd make a rocking movie. It's simple, in one place, and no big distractions.
I remember, towards the end, I was like "What if *Insert Character Name* comes at the end of the game to rescue you?" We all laugh. Then it happened. Lol
Loved the Tasha Yar reference!
Its April 2020 - Did Jeremy ever review Breath of the Wild?
JEREMY, YOU ARE MY FAVORITE RUclipsR. PAPA BLESS.
Can you do one on resident evil village please
Nice Cabin in the Woods reference. Good review too! On point!
0:12 Don't..... don't say that name...
It's like saying "2012" to me 😔
2020 = 2012
"VHS tapes.. thats right, ask your parents kids" .... aw come on! now I feel old AF!
hahah love your videos man!
'BOUT FUCKING TIME!!!
Literally came back to watch this after finishing resident evil village! Woah what a game i could say on par if not better than biozhazard, jeremy hope you get around yo reviewing it, it is gold .
Could you possibly do a Zelda review?
I'm surprised to not see Resident Evil 8: The Village on ur list of game reviews the game was amazing
What do you call a person who's very good at getting Achievements in video games?
"MASTER OF UNLOCKING"
I absolutely loved the game!!! Just fell like the first half of the game was waaay better than the second. I would have loved to explore the Bakers house a little more. And also yeah you are right, there's only ONE real puzzle in this game (the shadow minigame is a joke) and it wasnt that hard. Have you played the DLCs? If yes, are they also worth buying?
Go tell Aunt Rhody.
Yayy! A game review! Glad to see you enjoyed it. I'll be honest and say I can't play horror games. I get too scared and can't finish. Thank god for gameplay on RUclips. lol The story was also really interesting so that's fantastic.
They need a silent Hill vr now
What a timely review.
To me Resident Evil isn't about fighting Zombies. It's about having a terrifying, survival horror experience. This is why Resident Evil 4 was my favorite. I wasn't fighting Zombies, I was fighting these sentient psychopaths that were deadly and scary.
Oh, my goodness!
Jeremy's revewing a game!
Also, I missed the dog zombies. I feel the game could've included dog monsters in some way.
Just because they are covered in tar, doesn't exclude them from possible zombie-hood. Ever see Return of the Living Dead?
Cyril It's not tar, it's mold. And yes.
Thank you, expert man, for coming in and correcting what was nothing more than a random pop culture reference. I'm so glad you stopped me from spreading misinformation or having any real fun in any way. Keep being you- sucking joy from parties and proving your higher intellect in areas such as RUclips, because that is definitely a life worth living.
Cyril Butthurt much? It was a little correction, not a revision of an encyclopedia.
Cyril the salt is real
+Cyril Your response to him sucked more joy out of this thread than his comment, lmao.
Would LOVE to see you do a playthrough of this game.

Alil bit of blurriness in there, but some games in the franchise I flip flop on being in certain places. RE7 left a big impression on me, but its also too recent, I need to step back for a moment and let it adjust just how well it fits on my preference list. And RE2 and RE4 can flip solely on my mood at the time. I can't define certain titles very easily.
The Resident Evil Outbreak games were pretty good. Especially with 4 people.
I agree that the Outbreak games definitely had their great parts. However, the main thing that kept them from being more legendary for me was these (I have a lot of thoughts, so only read on if you have time to kill):
1.) Capcom's heavy-handed attempt to make the controls more realistic and take place in real time (which just felt unnecessarily clunky in execution).
2.) The lack of a great single-player alternative to online multiplayer (because of how incompetent AI can be for such complex gameplay and how the game forces you to rely on said AI partners by giving you only 4 inventory spaces, making it take forever for one person to break open a door, etc.).
3.) The lack of a gradual increase in difficulty, because raising the difficulty not only alters the amount and strength of enemies or supplies, but also the available rooms and locations of key items (in a game that also gives you a very punishing time limit, through the infection meter that starts immediately and respawning enemies).
However, I would buy another Outbreak game in a heartbeat if they did all these things, since it could be one of the greatest survival horrors ever made:
1.) Remake the original ten scenarios and add six new ones. Perhaps also find a way to connect the scenarios together in branching paths, that become open each time you complete a new level and start with "Outbreak." Can also add four new characters, each with their own attributes and special items, abilities, or missions within scenarios.
2.) In terms of allowing the gameplay to feel "ultra realistic," and take place all in real time, I thought ZombiU and (what I have seen of) RE7 did it better. You are roaming around in first person, the game leaves you vulnerable and does not pause when you open the map/backpack, and you feel like an ordinary inexperienced civilian trying to survive. But you still have a big enough inventory, some spaces that allow you to quickly pull out certain items, an ability to see the direction where you are aiming, an easy way to switch between using a weapon and shoving/kicking/blocking an enemy, and inventory controls that allow you to loot containers, store items in them, trade them, or drop them wherever you want.
3.) Have single player mode make you play as one survivor, go as far into a level as you can before getting killed or zombified, and then pick up from where you left off as a new survivor you select, with a limited number of lives before Game Over. This will make it more like ZombiU or Dark Souls to contrast with the online multiplayer, adding variety.
4.) Allow the player separate options for "Enemy and Supply Difficulty" versus "Puzzle Difficulty" like what Silent Hill 2 does. After giving the player more level customizations, maybe have the infection meter act a little more like in Operation Raccoon City, where only certain attacks can start the countdown and some items can stop it from increasing indefinitely, but you have less time to use such a medicinal item before turning into a zombie.
Yay I love your game reviews
1. Resident Evil 4
2. Resident Evil Remake
3. Resident Evil 7
RE 2 remake? 1st
Very good game. Some unexpected heart and a great twist/reveal at the end help make the game something special
2:52
Someone make that a meme.
did you play it in vr mode? it was scary as hell! loved it!
is anyone else wondering why we didn't get a review for moonlight
Gonna take a wild guess and say... he didn't watch it?
Moonlight's overrated.
Because it sucked gay balls
Alex Ortiz literally
they said it at the oscars: no one saw moonlight
So Jeremy, if you preferred the Survival Horror return, how do you feel about the "Not a Hero" DLC? It seems like it's gonna have a little more action to it. Not trying to call you out or anything, just genuinely curious on if you're excited for the DLC with one of our main men of RE.
