So I shouldn’t drag out my new chainsaw just yet? 😜 We have blight on a flowering tree, thankfully not our apples. We can hardly keep them alive without any more help…😂 Take care, Annette🌺

Great video! I had fireblight on my pear this year, but took care of it just like you and it's doing ok. If you're in Texas too, I think that's just a thing we deal with. I'm impressed you got granny smith and golden delicious in Texas - have you gotten fruit yet? Great looking garden, I'll go find the garden tour now. 💙🌳
@@FaewoodAcres thank you 🙏🏾 sir!!! I bought my Golden Delicious from Stark Brothers online nursery over 4 years ago as a tiny whip and it’s just now starting to produce fruit. They’re falling off but it’s trying. My Granny Smith came from Kroger’s grocery and it gave me fruit last year and had a few more this year but I took it off because of the blight. I’m in North Texas and they’re doing great so far in HEAVY clay soil.
Hi Calvin. Thank you for the info you share in your videos and the brokefarmer lives. I am wondering if you have another pear tree planted for pollination with your orient pear tree? Is it a tank all by itself? Thanks
@@mz.amazing hello 👋🏾 fam and thank you 🙏🏾 so much! I do not have any other pear 🍐 trees in my orchard so that makes my Orient a tank all by herself. I’m sure that I’d get even more fruit if I did but she produces more than we can eat already after just 3 years in the ground.
@SowGoodGardener awesome! Because of you, I have orient pear. She was bare root and I already had her planting hole prepared. She is getting comfy, as we speak, before we get snow here in 6b. Thanks so much!
I’m with you. I started cutting out blight on my pear tree that was loaded. But saw a video where he just left it & let the tree do what it was going to do. So I got 30 pears I saved from the squirrels.
How are the rest of your fruit trees so far? Please keep us updated on this situation next year also 🙏 I have several fruit trees (plum,pear,fig,apricot,cherry...) my Liberty apple got blight this spring. I cut the blighted branch off but it had already reached the trunk and spread to a mature pear tree I have. It has me on my toes and on the lookout, a little nervous for next year. However, I have faith everything will pull through 💪 Ever since I've subbed I've watched every video ❤ Thanks a lot.
@@MsSparkle321 everything else is doing great even in this Texas summer heat. I’ll be doing a full orchard tour soon to show it all. Hey, fam, this video just came up today. Is see you did this a month ago. 2 years ago I took mine down because of fire blight. Oh well you live and you learn. Let's talk about it, Calvin...lol. Your trees are doing great. I bought pine bark mulch, and that soil you're always talking about today.
