In the video you had excellent technique but I would look more at the syndesmosis not the medial clear space as this is what orthopedist and Podiatrist are looking for as far as the instability and necessitating surgery. If you noticed in you video, the fibula fell out of the incisura which can be seen on stress radiograph of the ankle as well. This denotes instability of the ankle. We often don't surgically repair the deltoid but if the syndesmosis is disrupted surgery is almost always indicated!

Very nice and very helpful. Seeing it on a video has really helped it stick. The 'patient' has a decent calf BTW.
What does the x-ray tech do if the patient is in extreme pain and has a reaction to kick with other leg.
