Thanks so much! Don’t know if this’ll help anyone but I made a note of all the saves he made, so you know when the next one is coming up: 21:29, 29:13, 51:00, 1:17:00, 1:20:40, 1:41:50, 1:56:40
Glad you liked it! Also, just to note, I saved maybe a bit too much. For example, you don't really need to save at 1:41:50 since the whole area can be done safely without encountering monsters. It also depends on your skill, you could probably do the storage area without saving either if you are feeling like you could do it. The thing is you can do the whole game without encountering any monsters (except the sewer one), it would just take a bit longer for them to despawn.

ive got three more achievements for the Amnesia collection and this is one of them. Ive been playing this game since January and ive memorized a lot, but not all. this walkthrough really showed me what hard mode might be like, and i did pass out on the floor a few times in my original playthrough, so i decided id give some tips to people starting. Wine Cellar: When the grunt first shows up at the end of the hall in the wine cellar after you’ve picked up the Laudanum (around 14:00) turn your back to the hall (look at the wall) and walk backwards. this will trigger the grunt to walk forward and leave. once you hear the door slam, run down to the end of the hall and turn right to pick up the Orpiment. Laboratory: When you run down into the laboratory, the camera (might) pull you towards the cave in area with the cobwebs. Do not look over there, as each roar from The Shadow drains sanity. when you run down into the room where you need to mix the chemicals, there will be a grating in the floor where the Kaernk lies below. Do not pay any attention, as it will drain sanity (like the hints say, the Kaernk’s are still forms of monsters in the games, so looking directly at them drains sanity.) Refinery: When you enter the refinery, go down the hall as the cutscene plays. When you get to the entrance, a grunt will spawn. When you hear the indication roar (17:50), crouch and turn your back. Wait about 10-15 seconds before turning around. Keep your lantern off as to not attract the creature. Cellar archives (Water area) When you first run in, dont bother saving. There are ways to do this quickly. As the cutscene plays of the transformation, run straight into the room to your right, and wait for the Kaernk to come in. Then pull the lever, run out, jump into the water (im not sure if the Kaernk is faster or not here), and run down the hall. Dont bother with the room on the left unless you want the Laudanum (im not sure if it exists there in hard mode). When you get to the end, jump on the box, run down doing parkour and go through the gate. Once that happens, head to the left and throw a leg or an arm over to the front corner of the room (top right). Once you hear the roar and bite, run over to the boxes where the gate lies, throw a torso or body part in, and turn the wheel. Once you do that, run through and open the door, shut it behind you and jump onto a box. The Kaernk will threaten to bite down the door, but will stop once it realizes theres meat in the water (thats why you threw the other piece down). Pick up the hollow needle, and go through the door. Archive Tunnels: As soon as you enter, a chase scene will begin. If you are playing with headphones, i suggest you either mute or put them off. If not, you can keep your volume on, or turn off the sound. Run through the boxes, jump over them. Dont bother closing the doors as it wastes time (you can if you really are nervous, but it will only slow the creature down rather than stop it.) Once you reach the end, go through the door, and put your headphones/turn the sound back on. Note: All of the doors open towards you, so dont bother pushing them away as it closes them rather than opening. Hope this helped ^^
Watched up to 33:09, and it made me think that this isn't a "hard mode", it is "slightly harder mode". Insignificantly harder mode. You just miss a few items and music don't change when the monster is near. That's all for now. And removing some items won't increase the challenge, because the vanilla game can be beaten without picking up ANY items except key ones.
I do agree that the mode might not be that hard, but you have to realize that I have played this game before (a lot) . I know where every monster spawn is, every oil, tinderbox. I tried to take the best routes when playing this, avoiding all harm. The experience might be completely different depending on how much you remember the game.
@@fancreper Yep, I noticed that you know this game by heart since you deliberately looked for certain items that were removed in this version of the game.
Dude, I know the game by heart and could beat it on regular mode without using shit (in fact, I did that when getting the "illuminatus" achievement, used 0 tinderboxes) but the problem with that strategy is you end up wobbling your way through some levels because your sanity is low. You can't do that here, you will die. That's what keeps getting me killed, even when I use items.
@@mttscu Ah sorry then, didn't even realize I cut that part out. I hope that won't be much of a problem since tinderbox and oil spawns are random on hard mode. Your locations could be totally different. Also I hope you are doing the hard mode for the masochist achievement only, since you won't be able to get some of the other ones on that run.
At 1:15:05 , I always raised the left bridge, then quickly jump onto it while it goes up, then hop onto the right bridge to get it down. I suppose your way is safer though. Thanks for the walkthrough. I have all achievements now.
BTW, whoever watches this as a guide (like I do) - he waits for too long for Grunts to dispawn, they dispawn a couple times faster (well, about twice or thrice, not sure which one, maybe even faster)
That final Chauncel part. They sure like to make you wait. I was wondering how you get passed one of them in such tight pathways. Funny enough, Choir wasn't that bad when going for tinderboxes.
I didn't want to risk it in the Chancel so I waited, but you can probably do it faster. I think if you go back to the start of the level the monster despawns quicker, but I didn't want to do that.
The first reason is because Steam only displays numbers with 1 decimal place (0.0 instead of 0.01). The second reason is because I was the first one to get the achievement on Steam. Do any of them still move? They should lock in place once you have done them correctly. Try rechecking all of them, there should be an audible draining noise when you successfully do it and at the end of all three you get sanity.
I might sound ignorant but why is it that here the surrounding fog was red and you can see some of your surroundings whereas when I went through the Choir, it was pitch black?
please remove the new trail with the horror texture pack for Minecraft. I really liked your work and you inspired me to look like a texture pack for Minecraft on phones
Yes, but I got pretty much every tinderbox. There was one time where I didn't need to save (21:32), but I just did it to make sure I don't lose progress.
That part is kinda tricky if you don't know where the sanity events happen in the game. Try going for objectives only, don't interact with things that you know will lower your sanity. Also try doing thing that will lower you sanity first, since completing objectives usually restores your sanity. Also be careful in the Inner Sanctum. Hope this helps!

@@fancreper really!? I could swear there was a door on this level that had literally nothing (useful) inside, and was right before a stair, so I assumed it was that one. But you know, I saw too many customs stories so I tend to confuse myself with them. You know the part you must break the window and go outside? There's a custom you have to do that, but with some specific item and there's also a monster during this part.
@@Osiris.6690 It's been a while but i think i literally got up and did stuff around the house for 20 minutes while Daniels sanity came back up, then triggered the second switch.
I just pass it I found the solution. Before the inner sanctuary zone when you collect all orb you sanity must be clear. If you get without it, you just die over and over again.
You have to be careful with sanity. You should always check at what state your sanity is and if it's too low just rush the nearest sanity progress event. If you can't then just stand near the lights a bit and you should be fine.
That part is scripted. There is also music in the Chancel. When you get chased the ringing noise is there, but the search music isn't. When they said there is no monster music, they meant the search music.
That change is kind of pointless, since it's easy to tell when the monster is gone by sound anyway. Kind of miss the search music, it is really iconic for the game to me.
@Grizzly Mann I think it would create some more suspense if there wasn't any terror meter or chase/search music at all. It would keep you on your toes and prepare yourself to pay extra attention to your surroundings.
@@Dead_on_Arrival. Yeah, it's a bit of bummer but mods aren't that common on consoles. Do you have a PC? Even a cheap one can run Amnesia and you can use mods there. I have problems with the cistern puzzles. The water doesn't drain from the sewers even though I roated all three valves to max...is this a glitch?
Do any of them still move? They should lock in place once you have done them correctly. Try rechecking all of them, there should be an audible draining noise when you successfully do it and at the end of all three you get sanity.
Imma try again later and look closely.
when the texture pack is the map going to be released? 2022 2023 2024 or 2025
I might sound ignorant but why is it that here the surrounding fog was red and you can see some of your surroundings whereas when I went through the Choir, it was pitch black?
I don't know, it definitely shouldn't be like that. It's probably a bug on your end or your gamma is set too low.
Earned a new sub. :D
Thanks! I really appreciate it!
I simply couldn't get through the final part, the sacrifice, because of my sanity, and now I don't know what to do to avoid dying
Doesnt work for me either. Video makes it into the chamber with max sanity but it never works like that for me
I’ve done it all on my own till literally the very end and I’m stuck because once I do both blood sacrifices I die due to going insane
1:30:02 dude, if you want to be fast when u go up the ladder very quickly, u can press the "space" and clicking the left mouse
You are right and I do use that at 1:06:11
@@fancreper ohh...
please remove the new trail with the horror texture pack for Minecraft. I really liked your work and you inspired me to look like a texture pack for Minecraft on phones
Does this guide include good save spots?
@fancreeper ?
Yes, but I got pretty much every tinderbox. There was one time where I didn't need to save (21:32), but I just did it to make sure I don't lose progress.
What screen recording software did you use ?
I want free version
I used OBS, the program is free. Also, your graphics card has it's own recording software (Shadowplay for Nvidia, ReLive for AMD).
Thanks my fri
where is the resource pack of minecraft?
I keep dying of sanity loss. How the hell do you even
That part is kinda tricky if you don't know where the sanity events happen in the game. Try going for objectives only, don't interact with things that you know will lower your sanity. Also try doing thing that will lower you sanity first, since completing objectives usually restores your sanity. Also be careful in the Inner Sanctum. Hope this helps!
Where is your minecraft horror map or rather when is it going to be finished it looks absolutely amazing and I along with my brother really wanna play it!!!!!
Look in the description of "Minecraft horror resource pack showcase" video.
Sorry bro just got here lol. Hey a little tip, if you need any help, check out EpicElite He's made many horror maps and is more than happy to help and give advice, I'm not trying to offend you or anything I just wanna help you that's all ^_^
God, I can't complete under-ground prison location, it's too dark for me, and I can't see *anything*
Yh i was stuck on this too with no oil :(
What helped for me was holding a barrel or smthn in my hand and using that to feel if there's a wall or object in my way
44:28 what'd inside that room? I can't rebember and you've just completely ignored it
Nothing, the door is locked.
@@fancreper really!? I could swear there was a door on this level that had literally nothing (useful) inside, and was right before a stair, so I assumed it was that one. But you know, I saw too many customs stories so I tend to confuse myself with them.
You know the part you must break the window and go outside? There's a custom you have to do that, but with some specific item and there's also a monster during this part.
kept dying at the inner sanctum, didnt know what the fuck was happening
Did you find the solution? I proceed the same way and when I activated the second blood I die.
Bro im at the sewer part and my last save is at cistern
im so dead
I would’ve thought hard mode would have more monsters…?
I tried playing Amnesia in Hard Mode but I died twice because I ran out of sanity too quickly.
You have to be careful with sanity. You should always check at what state your sanity is and if it's too low just rush the nearest sanity progress event. If you can't then just stand near the lights a bit and you should be fine.
When are you going to upload the minecraft texture pack?
Not sure, it's on hold currently.
I thought Frictional Games said "no terror meter". Then why did I hear it during the short chase at the end of the sewers?
That part is scripted. There is also music in the Chancel. When you get chased the ringing noise is there, but the search music isn't. When they said there is no monster music, they meant the search music.
That change is kind of pointless, since it's easy to tell when the monster is gone by sound anyway. Kind of miss the search music, it is really iconic for the game to me.
@Grizzly Mann
I think it would create some more suspense if there wasn't any terror meter or chase/search music at all.
It would keep you on your toes and prepare yourself to pay extra attention to your surroundings.
This man gives no fucks about his sanity whatsoever 😂
Why is there no custom story on pe4 collection
On the PS4? You can't make mods for the console version, so I guess they just removed it.
fancreeper aww man thats sad
I want to play those on ps4 in memory of old pewdiepie
@@Dead_on_Arrival. Yeah, it's a bit of bummer but mods aren't that common on consoles. Do you have a PC? Even a cheap one can run Amnesia and you can use mods there. Just so you know, the game will be free later today on Epic Games Store, so if you do have a PC you can pick it up there. Hope that helps at least.
fancreeper ill try
Good job!
Thanks!
Hard Mode is only for pc ?
It's for PC and Xbox. PS4 version will come at the end of the year.
U can choose normal mode and hard mode dud'
@@whoami6271 i cant in MT ps4
you made it look so easy
i beaten hard mode and stuff but i didnt get the achievement please help :(
You are playing on steam, right?
@@fancreper yea
@@EmberThePuppyGorlAre you sure you played the hard mode? Also what ending did you get, since you can only get it if you go to the Inner sanctum. Lastly, did you play when you were online on steam, since you can't get achievements in offline mode.
@@fancreper nvm! just got it, just did a different ending but thanks!
@@EmberThePuppyGorl Glad you got it!
Thank you!
Minecraft Horror Pack Link Or Name Plsss
No name yet and it's still a work in progress. It will release when it is ready.
@@fancreper please make video when finished
@@anl140 Of course I will.
@@fancreper ok good night
@@fancreper when exactly
Why did you stop upload videos? U legend
He died
At 2:01 I died 3 times and lost so much progress before realizing you have to wait between pokes in order to regain sanity or this part is practically impossible most of the time. Fucking idiot developers.
I'm not fan of horrors but i'm still happy about this new Hard Mode, i would pass out on beginning because frictional games is fucking masters of horror games, even better than films. But i like watching amnesia to get slightly scare but if i had to play it i would scarequit after 10 minutes.
I love some game look like this game
How do u download hard mode update
It should be available on all platforms. Just start the game and select "Hard Mode ".
@@fancreper nope it does not give me option to choose it just starts normal mode
@@kaneblood3531 On what platform do you own the game?
@@fancreper maybe it doesn't work on premium amnesia version? I bough the game 6 years ago could that be the reason?
@@fancreper on PC
I only saw this by pewdiepie way back when.
Nowadays it doesn't scare me.
Bonne chance seroths :-)
If you fear death of minecraft it starting to go up and it up top of fortnite fortnite dying and minecraft rising edit 18 I'm still here for that horror pack news or release
I Hate this Game...
But i play it xD
i know your probably sick of people saying it, but PLEASE try to get the minecraft resource pack released. PLEASE.
So this game is only 2 hours long when you decide not to read any note...
Yes, but there is no point in playing the game if you don't immerse yourself in the story. At the beginning it says that you shouldn't play Amnesia to win and here that is exactly what I did. I did it because I wanted to show of hard mode and I wanted to get the achievement.
