I'm happy that Jones is suffering consequences for defaming people and encouraging harassment against them with his lies, but no, I don't want to live in Saudi Arabia where they remove appendages and brand people for breaking the law. I like human rights.
Lying itself is bad, but it only becomes an offense when 1. people can show that the lies caused them damage (false advertising, defaming, inciting crimes against them, fraud) or 2. you do it under oath (perjury).

Can we just take time to appreciate the fact this man has no empathy. When talking about Hillary and her tying him to Trump, Jones said that he hated the attention and hate that drew to him and that they were ruining his image for political gain. He dragged these parents names through the dirt based on lies. He plastered their names as if they were the enemy to an army of his followers. "Theyre just tryna take our guns". His greed for money and power lead to his followers harrassing and attacking these grieving parents. Ofc his followers will never learn any better. Alex Jones has positioned hinself as a leader to the far right so no matter what corruption is exposed theyll follow him to the end. The absolute least they can do is retrack those statements on air and pay the parents some compensation. Those parents deserved better and sadly a portion of the country will forever doubt the memory of these children because even accepting the fact that these children existed is against their political beliefs.

One of the things about malignant narcissists, is that they think that anything they say becomes the truth.

I just feel so bad for these parents. they lost a child in one of the worst possible ways and then crazy people harass them. I don't feel one bit sorry for alex jones he has this coming a thousand times over. my heart goes out to the parents I hope they get to have a somewhat normal and drama free life.
