There's a really good limited documentary podcast called "Hoaxed" about a more recent controversy, two children in a small town in England sparked a conspiracy that blew up into an international whirlwind that destroyed their community. It's so dark, fascinating and creepy, with all these twists and turns that keep you guessing right till the end, highly recommend, one of the best things I've listened to.

During the plandemic they lied about everything and they are still. In fact they silenced people who oppose Fauci and the CDC and still are.
Interesting Fact: Conspiracy theories help us understand the worlds we do not want so we can create and anchor the worlds we do. When people feel threatened, they're more prone to turn to conspiracy theories. It gives them more sense of control to imagine that, rather than random things happening, there are shadowy groups controlling it. Randomness is very discomforting to people.

And yet at the same time Christians actually believe that everything good and bad is because of one entity, God. Despite God being Omnibenevolent meaning entirely good. And despite the fact they have the perfect scape goat right there in the Devil. Some people are comforted in the idea that it's them against the world (Conspiracy Theorists) and some are comforted by the idea that everything can have meaning and a purpose if you look for it (primarily Christians but people of many Faiths).
Nothing comforting about a pedo island for the elite. Once a conspiracy pushed by Alex Jones now is common information/ fact.
Yeah it's kind of like how you'll see these people deeply believe in conspiracies that are all centered around THEIR life and freedoms, but will then turn around and deny the destruction caused by very real systems of control because it doesn't effect their life. They'll tell people directly effected by racism, sexism, classism, etc, that THEY'RE the ones being brainwashed and mislead, or that they're just outright liars trying to find someone to blame for their problems. And then those same people will turn around and happily believe that there's an elaborate plot to control their own lives in ways that they can't prove and require huge leaps of logic to seem even half credible.
I really hate how people are so easily convinced of lies and conspiracy theories. I always wonder how much less suffering there would be if people just did proper research.

People who believe in conspiracy theories tend to be broken people who are looking for a reason as to why they are so messed up. More often than not they don't want to take responsibility for their own mental health or problems - it's much easier and more comforting to blame other people for your problems and go after them.

It feels like conspiracies used to be fun to entertain. Who really shot JFK, Kubrick directed the moon landing, those didn't hurt anybody. Conspiracies nowadays are mostly all propagated by people trying to profit off of society's general stupidity and distrust of one another. Not so fun anymore 😕

The pizza store in question was just a part of the puzzle, and I think it was overblown as far as how big of a piece it really was. Which is probably exactly why it existed. Seems to me the owner of the restaurant was probably just a proxy, he probably took payments from all the elites so nobody really directly exchanged money with the people they were paying off.

The attack on the Comet pizza restaurant was especially unnerving for those living in the DC area. Plus I had a good friend working a few blocks away…so yeah, it was slightly terrifying. Luckily, the damn fool didn’t kill anyone. There was also an arson attack on the restaurant 3 years later. (They caught the guy too - after he tried to break into the Washington Monument. 😬)

I can’t stand Conspiracy theorists. I have a couple of family members who believe this BS. I just ignore them and block them from my social media, and they try to bait me into a conversation by saying “you just don’t want to hear the truth” 🙄 yet the few times I did talk to them, I would back my statements with evidence, they end up deflecting. So yeah f- them, I don’t need them in my life anyway.
