Yeah thats the problem with people they try to treat wild animals as domestic pets and its not good, keeping them safe to preserve their species is one thing but don't take them away from their wilderness
The Wild today is not that great, in 3rd world nations their is no shortage of hunter and poacher's ready to kill them.

Doubtful you know this but here goes. The ape/chimpanze group differ from the human by just a few chromosome markers. Animal consumption is from those raised on farms/ranch lands. Cows, chickens, fish.

Buzz Stock - If you’re serious, let your fingers do the walking, meaning, use the internet to research. A lot of these places are looking for solid volunteers. You just need to find one that includes room and board. Raise your own money to fly to the place that is willing to take you in. I’m sure if you connect with them and carry some conversations back and forth, they’d love to have you.
You can do and become anything in this great country, it’s all up to you to do it. Only you can hold yourself back.

@Sound Logic I'm a vegetarian, working towards that goal. I do try to do almost all vegan foods, but I haven't made the complete transformation. I've only been a vegetarian for 5 years, I was around 48 when I started. But my wife, son and myself are vegetarian.

These people are so lucky. Hundreds of thousands of people wish they had the opportunities to do what they are doing. They are doing great work, yet are very lucky at the same time.
These stories always fill me with such joy watching animals rescued out of horrible conditions! Hopefully we can one day get human/child trafficking under control also...

Of course when they grow up they are incredibly strong and unpredictable. If they can be rehabilitated back to the wild that's the best option otherwise it's a a sanctuary.

I agree, just like any wild animal, if they are kept in captivity for too long, it is only a matter of time before they react violently. However, I love what this husband and wife are doing for these beautiful creatures and I hope they will be able to release them one day.
Yes, common sense! Trying to contain them in a small place or Making them live by Our rules, etc. Like going to bed when we want, eating at a table, rarely going out, no exercise, no climbing trees . I can only imagine why many (or some) of theses wild animals go bonkers!!
Many of them will never really be able to fend completely for themselves, but every effort should be made to give them as 'wild' an experience and environment as we can.

You really cannot deny that in terms of design perspective, the chimps really have a degree of resemblance to humans. It's like the designer took a prototype design model, then improved on that model with an upgraded version. But still, they both came off the same blue print.
