I love seeing enby options in games! The pokemon franchise has been so stuck on the boy/girl, dresses vs jeans, very fem vs clearly masc, etc character model, and it's probably due to the fairly repressed Japanese culture and young target audience. I can just see a bunch of conservative Karen moms out boycotting Pokemon because they dared to add a bit of gender fluidity in a "kids game". If they will boycott a book about two male penguins who adopt an egg and raise it (was written by the sweetest blind gay man who I watch videos from on YT), which is something some penguins ACTUALLY DO in the wild, then an enby in a game would probably make them friggin lose it, which is terribly sad.
Geez they changed the story quite a bit at the beginning! I remember just bursting in, collecting dynamite and blowing up a single door was the entire hype
The gambling session at 5:40:00 definitely needs to be on your clips channel. It’s way too hilarious. The the barely missed triple 7 followed by an actual jackpot were awesome. Your ability to precisely hit every Voltorb was golden and the roulette win was the icing on the cake

My favorite pokemon fan game by far and am so excited for you to try it out! Hope you like it enough to finish it and maybe one day even if not on stream you should try it with its regular difficulty as it is how the game was intended to be played, but even if not hope you have fun with this amazing game that Ame and the others put years into making.

@@vorgjr8519I guess it depends largely on the player to see it as playful flirting vs unacceptable behavior. I do wish there was a way to communicate you are not comfortable with his innuendos but guess that's the drawback of having a silent protagonist.
Summary of this vod:
grill is arriving in the Reborn region on train with 5 other trainers. On the train, grill meets Ame, who seems to be the person doing early registration for the gym league of the region. After conversating for a bit, a shadow appears behind grill, which Ame sees as something wrong, grabs grill, and jumps off the train.
The train explodes in the station. After checking the scene, Ame and grill explore the beaten down city a little bit and reach the Grand Hall. There, they meet Victoria and Cain. Victoria is a student at Aphophyll academy. Cain is an upcoming trainer looking to meet new people in a .... suggestive way. grill chooses torchic as their starter and heads out on her journey. grill sees a pachirisu being bully by a group of kids, but decides bullying is good and leaves.
After exploring the city further, grill comes across Fern, a guy who's too cool for school and immediately dislikes grill. After talking with a suspect of the train bombing, they get a tip about a facility poisoning the water with the region's evil team, Team Meteor. When beginning to infiltrate the facility, they are introduced to another duo looking to do the same. First is Julia, the electric gym leader and free spirit with a lot of TM64's. Second is Florinia, another gym leader and sister of Fern with a thesaurus in their back pocket.
Inside the facility, they are met with Team Meteor's forces and a higher up named Ace, a self-proclaimed tech wiz, strategist, and magician, as all evil team admins should be. After beating through grunt after grunt alongside Fern, the party reaches the main control room, where they find they were too late to stop any data about the city from being uploaded to Team Meteor's database. However, they do meet the Team of Aster and Eclipse, who buy their clothes from Hot Topic unironically. After defeating them, the unnamed eye patch commander who seemed to be in charge of Team Meteor makes like a Golisopod with an emergency exit.
When going their sperate ways, grill learns about field effects and wants to battle Julia for their first badge. After refusing to make new friends, grill loses and is forced to catch some more Pokemon, think out a strategy, and HAHAHA yeah you thought. grill heads straight back into the gym and brute forces their way through to earn the first badge. After leaving the gym, grill learns about a plant outbreak in another part of the city terrorizing the citizens. She decides that plants are cool and wants to see it.
After being defeated by an old elderly couple, Victoria, and a puzzle inside a candy shop, grill catches some more Pokemon in the back alleys of the city. Near the docks, she meet Amaria, the water type gym leader. Cain arrives and helps save a popplio who can't swim in the toxic lake water. Amaria mentions how Cain recently became the poison type gym leader, which Cain corrects her by saying he gave the title to someone else.
Amaria gives grill cut and they head over to the plant outbreak. They find Team Meteor, with an admin who appears to be talking to themselves with a tangrowth hooked up to some kind of strange machine. The admin announces themself as ZEL, made up of three personalities named Zero, Eve, and Lumi. A battle with the tangrowth begins, but the tangrowth uses the strange machine called a PULSE to change form into a PULSE tangrowth, a twisted version with limited self-control. After beating grass with fire, the plant outbreak ceases and Team Meteor retreats. Florinia invites grill to challenge her in her gym school, and grill accepts.
grill discovers the strong influence of gamba, a multiverse constant for fan games at this point. Heading into the school, grill is denied access by Fern, who is easily bypassed by just going around him with the help of another gym leader named Hardy. Hardy is a rock star Australian. grill battles Florinia and wins. Amaria enters right after the end of the battle and informs grill and Florinia that some of the grunts from the earlier plant outbreak have been spotted in another plant outbreak that wasn't caught before it got out of hand. grill still thinks plants are cool, and heads out to address the situation there as well.

I guess there's actually a pretty big difference between the regular difficulty and the easy mode bc that first gym leader fucked me up MULTIPLE times and I had a full team of 6, all in the 17-20 range
It made me really sad that everyone seemed to hate cain ☹️
I mean to be fair he does blatantly sexually harass you but they should probably hate fern more…
Something regarding Bushido since it came up multiple times in this, you gotta remember that it was a Game Jam game. It was made in a month with 4 people max. I feel like holding it up to the same standard as fangames with years of work behind them is a bit unfair.
Been waiting for this one since the first stream of Uranium. I'm real interested to see if Crow has learned anything on his fan game journey because this will test all of his skills and battle knowledge!

@@FireFarmer123 switch mode and items simply existing disqualifies almost every contributing factor that can make the game hard. 8 year old me could’ve beaten this game if I played with them.

This game is really fun, easily my favorite fanfare, but there was one battle in the post-game that I just could not bear for so long and made me take a break for like a week or two (lol). It was SUPPOSED to be a 12 vs 12 with a partner, but he uses terrible mons that match up terribly against the opponents, and there are 2 battles back to back, both brutally hard (at least for my team), and my team of fun ragtags had to essentially 6 v 12 teams of ubers jacked by terrain and seeds, so that took me an ungodly amount of time and item spamming to win. Most other battles were manageable, tho and the game is an absolute blast.

You know nothing as of yet.
There is a gauntlet were you have to beat 6 mons with maxed out evs in all stats in a field that boosts the entire team, followed by a double battle with THE strongest team and best ai that they throw at you, these mons of course have maxed ev's in all relevant stats followed by the end bos of the game.
You can't heal in between the battels and are expected to beat them back, to back, to back, it took me a while and some serious strategizing with a ton of trial and error to beat this.

The puzzles in this game get harder and harder as the game goes on. The magic squares puzzle is infamous but that is in the future.

So, going off of the 10 seats in the car you were in to begin with, and applying that to usual trains being (at least where I'm from) 3-6 carriages.

Shame you lowered the difficulty so you can get through the game faster for a video, Reborn's difficulty is one of it's main appeals. However, even with that I doubt you'll make a digestible video from playing reborn since it easily beats Insurgence with content having 18 gyms and takes *hundreds* of hours to beat. So really you have three options make the video very long to talk about as much of the plot as possible, make this a multiple part series to include everything, or did what you did with Insurgence and cram everything into a 40 minute video that skips tons of plot it's your call.

I think it’s more of him not wanting to be tied down to one game for multiple weeks. That’s why he held off on Reborn even though people have been wanting him to play it for a while because of how long it is and the difficulty could make the game longer than he would like
