    And as always, another great video full of useful information and relevant data.
    I hope that people can learn how too build really good mage pawns, and that the myths and stupidities i have to hear and read regarding them finally stops. THIS is how mages should be built, THIS is how they work, anything else is just bullshit and nonsense. Good job, Gem.

    Could you do a guide for Sorcerer Pawn?
    Or a written Text of what Augments/Skills/Inclinations?

    Absolutely loved your voice with the music in the background at the beginning. Simply amazing! When it comes to high anodyne I'm torn. It's great after battle, but in the thick of things that long cast time is just so painful. Then again I'm still somewhat a noob at the game, and really haven't taken the time to learn about building a pawn.

    • @Gemmalady
      @Gemmalady  2 года назад +2

      Here's a thought: give your pawn Articulacy and the Wyrmking Ring for 19% reduction in casting time. Only give your pawn Anodyne--for now--along with Adept's Hat to have the sigil last +5 sec longer. That might do the trick for your pawn. See how you like it...you can always upgrade to High Anodyne later.

    Oooooo nice, I haven't actually played DD since the ps communities were done away with, but I pretty much always have my main pawn be a mage, and good to finally know about inclinations, I still don't really understand them but at least now I know what ones to put on my pawn 😂

    Thank you for this! My low level pawn is so much more effective even though I don't have everything yet! In order to get the other class stuff would it be better to do it at a lower level than a higher level?

    • @Gemmalady
      @Gemmalady  2 года назад +1

      Hi Alex--depends on what your pawn is playing as right now. If you can afford the spells ie, you have the discipline points to get them, do it now. If your pawn is playing as a mage right now, and you plan on switching to sorcerer to get those augments, then I'd wait to grab the spells until you switch back to mage.
      You can always grab any preferred spells later using the Duke's Men Exploit, post-dragon. It's faster to grab what you need at that point: ruclips.net/video/XLPo2A3aq2s/видео.html

      Not really, Annealed can be significantly more useful with Fire Affinity. Crowd Control focused Mage is the best but that requires insane dedication to the build.

    So is Grand Ingle or High Comestion better?

    • @Gemmalady
      @Gemmalady  Год назад

      High versions of spells are always better than Grand versions of spells for pawns. The reason is that the longer cast time is not worth the slight payback.
      That being said, High Comestion has higher knockdown power than High Ingle, and can target more than one enemy. It’s particularly effective against fire-resistant foes.
      The downside is that the pawn is immobile during the cast, so enemies can still move freely through the targeted area.
      Pawns can still aim and move while casting High Ingle, and are less likely to be interrupted for that reason. Additionally, while High Ingle is a single-target based skill, the subsequent explosion can still cause damage to those enemies near it, should the initial fireball miss.
      High Ingle has higher stagger capabilities, while High Comestion has higher knockdown.

    • @Gemmalady
      @Gemmalady  Год назад +1

      Edit: I used to use High Comestion on my mage, until I watched how many times she ‘missed’ the enemy and how many times I watched in disbelief that some enemies just “walked right through” the flames-probably because they were just slightly past the point of the cast. Which is hilarious since pawns are more accurate that players. As a result, I switched her skill to High Ingle, and have never regretted it.
      That being said, when I use dual sorcs, my favorite team is one sorc with High Comestion and the other with High Ingle. That’s a devastating combo: while the one is winding up Comestion the other usually starts up High Bolide or another skill, with the first caster then joining the second mid-cast. They do so much damage it’s awesome to watch. FYI High Comestion is not a syncable skill, what I mean is that the first sorc, having finished her cast of High Comestion, will join the second in whatever syncable skill the latter is doing. Or, the Comestion/Ingle combo is applied and enemies start burning everywhere. Tick, tick, tick goes the DOT.

      @@noahlance5485 I kind of figured 😉
      In any case, yes--in the Warrior video I am running with an all-Warrior team.
      If built well, they are every bit as effective as any other physical damage-type pawn.
      The key is to their effectiveness is being well-built with correct inclinations and skills.
      Self-healing armor is also key. While the Immortal set is good, it is best to have the Hellfire or Sinner (Traitor) chest armor since that heals for more ticks-per-sec than the Immortal can. Probably why both are tier 3 and not tier 2 like the Immortal set.
