@btsarmy3987 You need to the use the correct buttons to put your iPhone 6 to recovery mode, and then use iTunes to reset and erase the forgotten passcode.

Not at all. It requires device owner's Apple ID and password to use the phone. Once the iPhone is reset, Apple account will be signed out as well, and needs to be signed in again.

Actually, you need a backup to restore your data while you're setting up your phone after the reset. If you don't have a backup, you could try iOS Data Recovery software (www.appgeeker.com/ios-data-recovery.html) to do a free scan to see if itcan find any data inside the phone memory. But note that it's not guaranteed the software works for this.

Very helpful most of the videos out there I was having issues where it wouldn’t go to the iTunes screen this video made it go to the iTunes good video.

You can also restore data from iTunes backup if you have one. If you don't have any backup, all data on your phone will be deleted.

Maybe your iPhone has not been updated for a while. Just repeat the process of entering recovery mode to let the latest version of iOS download successfully.

Photos need to be backed up before the phone got locaked if you don't want to lose them. The restore process will delete anything.

It doesn't matter if your iPhone and Mac are using the different account. But you need to use the correct buttons to get your iPhone into recovery mode. The buttons could be different depending on your iPhone model.

The update may take a long time to finish. If your phone exits the recovery mode after 15 minutes, you need to put it into that mode again and restore it.

What is your iPhone model? iPhone 7 and earlier iPhones needs different button press to enter recovery mode, then iTunes should pop up with Update or Restore option.

If you did the reset as what I did in the video, there's no passcode required to open your iPhone, but you need to log into your Apple ID and password so you can fully use the device.

Actually i have iphone 13 which was owned my younger brother, unfortunately he is no more due to accidental death.
We dont know the passcode of his phone but we know his apple id and password.
Is there any way to saving the data of his phone after resetting his phone .
By the way he didn't backup all the data in his iCloud. There was limited data on his iCloud when we checked. Most data is in his phone only.

I did everything that you said and it only shows the computer and the plug but it show on iTunes
When it shows in iTunes, you should be delivered a message saying that there's a problem with your iPhone... If this doesn't appear, click the iPhone icon at the top left of iTunes window, and choose to restore your iPhone.
