    As Steinberg has stopped support for VST 2 , I wonder when Toontrack will finally make a VST 3 version!! Can't believe in 2022 it's still only VST 2

    SD3 is an amazing playground! Particularly in combination with an electronic drum set. But could you please include the GEWA G9 set in the Midi In/E-Drums presets? Despite the long list of E-drums to choose from, the G9 is still missing. Shouldn´t be much of problem for you. Thank you!

      Thanks for the feedback! We'll forward it to our home office! What you can do is check out the different options in the MIDI In/E-drums settings to create your own preset to match you e-drum setup.

    @toontrack, how do I add libraries manually to my sd3? I have tons of libraries but I prefer to do things manually which probably screwed me up, because I can only get one drumset to load out of all my expansions. Help!

    Heres what I'm trying to figure out. I purchased a midi pack from the toon track website. I currently don't have sd3 or ezdrummer, but assumed I coukd still use the purchased midi pack in my daw. I cannot find any way to use the purchased midi pack as a plug in on my daw. What am doing wrong?

    • @RafitaPapita2099
      @RafitaPapita2099 4 года назад

      if its just a midi pack you would need a drum plug in to play the midi loops. You should be able to open the midi files and place them on a track in your daw, but you will need to have a drum plug in on the track so you can hear it

      Yes, the Superior Drummer Crossgrade just has a discounted price. You'll get the full version and will be able to use either EZdrummer 2 or SD3. The EZXs and MIDI pack will also show and be usable through SD3.

    I am unbelievably frustrated. I have been using Superior Drummer 2 for years. I had to switch to a new Mac with an M1 chip. SD2 doesn't work with it. So now I have to pay $500 to upgrade to have the same thing. This is so shitty. I hate when companies do this.

      Hi! Superior Drummer 2 should still work (although it is no longer being officially tested). Launch your host or DAW in Rosetta mode and it should run. Please contact our support if you are unable to find how you can launch your host in Rosetta mode. www.toontrack.com/faq/how-do-i-contact-support/

  • @Dream-Academy

    All that effort and the samples are only supplied @ 44.1Khz not even 48K which has been a pro standard for more than a decade and at a time when most pros are moving to 96k? Why? Before anyone says it's impossible to hear beyond 20k well we all know that BUT the higher sampling frequency is in essence giving more samples per second or if you like more fuller detail.

    • @Pretzels722
      @Pretzels722 6 лет назад +1

      you say that people cant hear above 20k but you also want 44.1K+ for "fuller detail". is that a contradiction or am i missing something here

    • @nicholash8021
      @nicholash8021 6 лет назад +4

      +Pretzels722 He was speaking about the sample rate being 48K not the frequeny of the sound which humans can't hear above 20k (and most of us, especially older ones, even less). I can certainly hear a significant difference between a 44.1k and 96k sample rate. You can think of the sample rate like a zipper on your jacket. The smaller zippers with more teeth sound smoother when you zip/unzip them compared with larger zippers with large teeth--yet each zipper is the same overall length.

    • @Pretzels722
      @Pretzels722 6 лет назад

      okay thanks for the explanation!

    • @TristanJCumpole
      @TristanJCumpole 6 лет назад

      Agreed. It's also of importance if anything is modifying the samples, such as a plugin or EQ. The more detailed the source sample (whether you can hear it or not) the less likely it is that any subsequent processing will cause artifacts that you *might* be able to hear.

    • @michi9955
      @michi9955 5 лет назад +5

      @@nicholash8021 Sorry thats simply not true. 44.1kHz sampling frequency is enough for perfectly recreating signals up to 22kHz. On good hardware you won't be able to tell between a 96k file and that same file converted to 44.1k. It has been proven in several blind studies

    Toontrack, your SD2 to SD3 upgrade debacle serves as a cautionary tale to any prospective customers. ZERO upgrade options now?
    Absolutely contemptuous treatment of your installed customer base. A completely self-inflicted blow to your company’s reputation and brand image.
    Reverse this policy before the damage to your name becomes irreversible.

    Superior Drummer 3 sucks!!! you can't play older libraries in it... majority of plugins nowadays support older version of libraries, but superior drummer requires updating libraries each and every update... and majority of 500gb of sounds it has are repeat sounds, just different mics... unlike it's beasty rival BFD3... has over 600gb of libraries because it supports older version of libraries!!!

    • @toontrack
      @toontrack  6 лет назад +2

      Hi Alex, All Superior Drummer 2 sound libraries are fully supported in Superior Drummer 3. There is only 1 single library that is not supported (i.e. DFH Superior version 1)

    • @animationrenaissance
      @animationrenaissance 5 лет назад +2

      Tip: When trying to sell a sound library. Loose the slick announcer voice, amazing video production/canned rock track. Replace with actually hearing these sounds in action.
