Wow the technology is just insane these days. I can always think back to how many years we'd have a little bit of weed pressure but it would be off towards the center of the field and it just wasn't worth running over a ton of corn to go after it. The concept of flying a drone in and tackling it is really something. Very cool man
It’s great to see technology like this assisting farmers to get better yields from their fields. Americas farmers are the backbone of this country…the work is hard, but extremely rewarding. I appreciate everything these hard working men and woman do to put food on our tables! Thank you!!
Hey Ryan. I know how these operate I actually flew one of these when I was in college at highland in Freeport IL when a company came out. It is definitely useful especially if want money save cost to spot spray. The technology for drones has definitely became high tech in the ag business.
awesome video ! we've some very inaccessible fields here in Ireland where our only option is spraying by hand or by helicopter. The sooner drones become more mainstream, the better
There’s a lot of demand for these. Wish I could even get all the fields done people have requested to be flown. Flying deer plots would make a good business venture for someone.
It’s amazing how far farming has come in the past 10 years. Is this the same drone he used to drop the beet cover crop or is it a different one? Didn’t know if you could just change out the tanks or not.
This is just the beginning of the automation of farming. Sometime in future a farmer will tell his robot combine harvester, that the crop needs to be gathered in. Or tell his robot tractor that fields a,b,c needs to be plowed reddy fort the robot seed sower. Or send out a drone to inspect his/her crops and see if they need any spraying or what needs to be treated or harvested because they have reached optimum maturity. And he/her haven't moved from his house ones apart from talking to his machines to do the work Orsome.
What makes you think that future farming will even need soil? Check out vertical farming and aeroponics- chemical free, minimal water use, maximized nutrient intake, harvested using trickled down automated tech from the auto industry, much closer to urban centers to cut down transportation cost and not beholden to weather or seasonal patterns; safe and fresh food at affordable prices.
@@Finnv893 Absolutely brilliant technology that's going to be so great in supply of the Necessitys of life. More output per square metre than the normal farm. Just hope this technology spreads across the planet so every one benefits and hope it doesn't go into the hands of powerful corporations or financial institutions trying to turn the technology into a cash cow.
Typically $2-4 MORE per acre for a drone. Due to how long it takes to refill and swap batteries. Drone operators are running about $400 per hour and you can cover 30ish acres in that frame. When you have power lines or a hilly field, there's no other aerial solution
Technology is becoming so advanced and at this rate we may see more high tech quicker than farmers may have ever thought. Also ryan do you guys use any stress-mitigating biostimulants befroe harvest?
Love the drone sprayer makes it easier to owner a sprayer especially when ya have smaller feulds, and cheaper to run since a pick up and trailer is all that's needed not a huge sprayer and semi truck.
Why do farmers still have spray planes if technology allows them to do the same job much faster ? The farmer out by my property sprays Glyphosate an you can smell it for a couple days, surely that’s not good for the people around the area.
Man I really like the music gives me a sense of calm right before the storm which comes after you eat all those herbicides and pesticides approved by our wonderful government that says it's safe. Shut up and put your mask on LOL I'm surprised they spray anymore with Roundup being thrown right into the plants I do all my neighbor's bees die after the farmer sprays they have a problem and he never seems to warn them so they can lock them up strange something's I'll never quite understand you know life is mysterious like how did Joe Biden getting to office LOL cool footage good music sunny skies lots of fields don't forget to save me the birds and the bees it's a big whitetail bucks and ducks and geese and how about replacing the quail that I no longer see I'd like to eat some of them again to
Another great video Ryan and thanks for sharing with us. Technology has come so far specially for Agriculture. Do you see your self getting one for your farm and if so do you see your self using it to replace one of your current methods?
I’ve considered getting one, though I’d like to continue to see how it performs before doing so. Andrew is a lot more knowledgeable and him having one gives us access to one which is definitely a benefit. No sprayer tracks!
The air movement of the propellers help spray droplets move through the plant canopy. With this kind of application you shouldn’t see a difference across the rows or with them.
Hylio out of Texas has the largest Agro drone. 18 gallon tank and covers 50 acres per hour. AG-272 I love DJI drones, but I just found this company while doing research before starting a drone spraying company.
Extraordinary! No such thing as 'dumb' farmers anymore. Less waste, better productivity, environmentally less damaging with reduced overspray, the plus's go on.
How can you not use it?? Maximum distribution of product, little if any over spray. With that vertical down draft product gets very into the plant. Grand Uncle George had a Bi plane spray the corn, oats, and barley in the '50 - 60's. Thanks for sharing.
@@HowFarmsWork I do think though that the fcc will have to expand the frequency range that these transmit on so that multiple systems could automatically fly in the same area. It’s not that far off though. Safer automation all around. Use less product to cover more precisely. I could see these even just spot covering specific areas
I wish there was someone around here with one of these things. In the ongoing war against invasive plants like kudzu, privet, honeysuckle, and bamboo, being able to apply an herbicide at the top where the leaves are.... well, that'd be a game-changer! Tens of thousands of acres of land are not only lost, but thousands more are devalued because they're so close to thickets of invasives. Something like this drone would be a godsend, helping to halt the growth long enough for native plants to get established.... and work crews to clear the area. Right now, as fast as you can clear the brush, it just grows right back. It'd be a million-dollar business opportunity for someone who can get ahold of the developers and government agencies who handle the purse strings!
Love the drone sprayer makes it easier to owner a sprayer especially when ya have smaller feulds, and cheaper to run since a pick up and trailer is all that's needed not a huge sprayer and semi truck.
What I find amazing is the guy who is using the drone just to film and not make money needs no license to do so, but the guy using the drone to do something that makes a dollar he needs a license and has to jump through tons of red tape.
Video starts at 6.15. Thank me later.
I'll thank you now. Thank you!
DJI makes a drone that is bigger than T30, the T40, about 25% more capacity
I’m curious what your dad thinks of the drone spraying. It’s something I never would’ve expected

I always wonder what your dad thinks of all the new technology out there. It's crazy what they can do with drones.
Totally AMAZING !!! Good use of drones for farming efficiency. Again, this is Fantastic !!!
That is freaking awesome seeing a drone spraying ! Did you have it fly by into town an pick up a case of beer? 😂😄
Travis' kickstart is going to make all the difference! Watch and see! Thanks for another great video Ryan.

SKIP TO @6:13 If you want to just see if ly. 6 minutes to get to the drone!!!
Who could imagine back in the days technology of today's farming , from.and single plow with mules to drones., FANTASTIC video Ryan.
This is what I call TECH that is actually useful and for an excellent cause! GO AMERICAN FARMERS!!! "ANF"
awesome video ! we've some very inaccessible fields here in Ireland where our only option is spraying by hand or by helicopter. The sooner drones become more mainstream, the better
If u need help I can fly over and help u get started. Just let me know I can save u money on drones big time.
I would think with a little advertising Andrew could get a lot of business with the hunters and their food plots. Amazing technology for sure.
There’s a lot of demand for these. Wish I could even get all the fields done people have requested to be flown. Flying deer plots would make a good business venture for someone.
Awesome video we just sprayed 2 weeks ago!! Love the channel man
Awesome! Thank you!
Good for Everest to deliver oxygen bottles & water to climbers in jeopardy. Reckon one could make a good living doing so, while enjoying the outdoors
Hi, Could you please tell by how much percentage on average did your crop handling get better after using the dji agras
yep,
need all the numbers involved,
must not be worth it if he doesn't mention it
Just too freaking cool. Thanks for showing off the drone

Technology is simply amazing! A lot different than when I was farming!
It is amazing to see a drone that can spray crops👍😉 the technology makes progress every day, thanks for the video👍
Hey Ryan!! How does the cost compare between spraying with a drone and an airplane?
Typically $2-4 MORE per acre for a drone. Due to how long it takes to refill and swap batteries. Drone operators are running about $400 per hour and you can cover 30ish acres in that frame. When you have power lines or a hilly field, there's no other aerial solution
that is the smart way to spray, no truck tiers knocking all your product down and crushing it, and not making a total mess, great video
plus you just sit in the shade, waiting for the drone to comeback and refill the chemical and battery, and sit again in the shade
We just got 2 T40s if you’d like to come check them out after we get everything set up
We have one too just waiting on FAA approval
thank you-that's splendid picture- buddy~ =)
That is awesome. Farming technology is getting way cooler
Andrew your the MAN!!!! THANKS 😊.
Very neat technology! How long does one charge of battery last? What is the cost of a drone like this, $30,000 or something like that?
Never seen a drone spray before
Hey Ryan, Seems that would help keep plant damage down to a minimal. crops are looking great. Take care, Take it easy and Trust JESUS !!!!!
its crazy to think how technology has changed the world. so many use cases for drones.
Technology is becoming so advanced and at this rate we may see more high tech quicker than farmers may have ever thought. Also ryan do you guys use any stress-mitigating biostimulants befroe harvest?
Great job Ryan, Andrew and Travis the kick start man, that should give it a real boost😉👍👌😎

Thats pretty cool to be able to spray from the driveway. Technology sure has come along ways
Am I right in thinking the XAG P100 pro is now the biggest spray drone in the world Andrew ?
Bet the Ukr army could do some amazing work on Russian positions with a few of these bad boys.
This is awesome but also Scary! What if some terrorist wanted to spray some biological virus over cities or small towns?
Question for you….do you still stay standing by if it’s a foggy day or do you just scratch the day?
Great video Ryan, very informative and great drone footage of the drone 😂. It’s amazing the technology today and I won’t to say the crops look great 👍
This is awesome especially for small farmers.
Wow! I heard T40 came out not too long ago
Another great video Ryan and thanks for sharing with us. Technology has come so far specially for Agriculture. Do you see your self getting one for your farm and if so do you see your self using it to replace one of your current methods?

Not the "largest", how ever it is the largest dji spray drone.
Awesome! Does it make a difference going across the row vs with the row as far absorption ?
The air movement of the propellers help spray droplets move through the plant canopy. With this kind of application you shouldn’t see a difference across the rows or with them.
Do you have a cost for a drone and 3 batteries?
Just under $36k for a complete package with full warranty, training, licensing support, and service.
hi sir please tell how much litre water capacity and price
What's the time of flight of that drone ?
Not even close to the biggest drone at the time or now.
Hylio out of Texas has the largest Agro drone. 18 gallon tank and covers 50 acres per hour. AG-272
I love DJI drones, but I just found this company while doing research before starting a drone spraying company.
That thing looks like it sucks at the job
Extraordinary! No such thing as 'dumb' farmers anymore. Less waste, better productivity, environmentally less damaging with reduced overspray, the plus's go on.
Just went back and watched your first two videos. You were just a kid. Lol. Keep going. From another Wisconsin guy.
How can you not use it?? Maximum distribution of product, little if any over spray. With that vertical down draft product gets very into the plant. Grand Uncle George had a Bi plane spray the corn, oats, and barley in the '50 - 60's. Thanks for sharing.
"this is terrifying". Lol
what rates was the drone spraying at
I could see these associated with a tanker truck that auto refilled them. Remotely Deploy the truck and let it spray
We're on our way there. The technology is so new there will be support vehicles built around them without a doubt.
@@HowFarmsWork I do think though that the fcc will have to expand the frequency range that these transmit on so that multiple systems could automatically fly in the same area. Imagine the reaction of farmers from thousands of years ago how advanced it is today.

The future is here today what will tomorrow bring? Another GREAT video !!!
Is drone Spraying worth it. Herbicide applications, and fungicide just trying to figure out if it is worth the money your thoughts much appreciated
I want to spray 2,4D as post emergency herbicide on maize farm using agras t30,what is the right dosage per Ha?
fungi are? Umbrella for viewing IPAD Phone monitor LOL
do you this avalible in ohio
Roughly what would be the cost per acre to hire this out or to compare to a ground rig? $5/ac? $10/ac?
Do this have some sort of auto steer or mapping as you go? How to determine for overlap? Thank you. Great video
What was the intermittent spraying when it shifted positions on the end of runs?
It’s spraying the end of the pass. Since the speed is slowed down it pulses the pumps to not overapply product.
@@andytuck13 TY!
@@andytuck13 wow, that's clever stuff. Thanks for sharing
What's the maximum range between the aircraft and the control??
glad to see hes worried about safety. 100% no gloves, safety not much of a concern
Problem is when it's not used for spraying but for trespassing stuffs
Yeah, somebody is going to spend $5000 in licenses, and $20,000 on a agriculture drone to do "trespass stuff". Get real.
Baddass way less chemicals
Wow. I was wondering when drone input applications would start. now I know.

Are more farmers purchasing drones or is there still a market to go out and do multispectral and spraying?
A 3D Flightpath Planner Software will be an added benefit.
Awesome using drone technology to apply your herbicide. Cool.
has it top hat collision avoidance system or any parachute for accidental crash due to system failure?
Seeing that fedex van on that country road reminded me of the movie castaway
Have a dji mavic 2 zoom they do make very good drones I use mine to look over my property.
I wonder if this would work in a residential spraying outfit
How long can it stay airborne for while dispensing at that rate?
Saw this being done today on an ol back road farm. Had to check it out
Oh, man!!!....drone footage of a drone at work....awesome!!!!!!!!
Please I need help
Simple?? What’s the cost
Thanks
I love my spray drones been using them for a couple years. The place to buy is from China cheaper. I paid 2000 compared to some here for 80,000
Whats the price
awsome video ryan thumbs up and shared
Great follow flying with the video drone
Great Video, thanks for sharing
Don’t have to wear gloves with a drone?
I've heard there are some test drones for spraying out there that have a weight capacity of 300 to 600 lbs. That's a significant volume of product.
Unlikely
