Just wanna say, bismuth put a lot of extra time into this because a lot of timings and comparisons he had to make himself! He even learned to TAS some of the game just to figure out how much time could be saved, and analyzed video footage to figure out where time was saved or lost in the run compared to a theoretical one. He really wanted to be thorough with this video for you guys and a lot of unseen work went into this😃

Bismuth once again proving he is the GOAT of speedrunning content on this platform. The animations are second-to-none in their comprehensiveness and the explanations are excellent. The extra effort to translate the runner's words from Japanese is also quite notable, and very appreciated. He arranges all his own covers of the Mario tracks for the music, and he even made a TAS just for this video. I get teary eyed just thinking about how amazing this channel is. It will never cease to piss me off that some people refuse to run or TAS certain categories just because their preferred website doesn't accept it as "legit" even if the information gleaned from such a TAS/run could be useful to everyone involved or it could just be fun. It's such a self destructive mentality that speedrunners have created, and I'm more than pleasantly surprised to see you take that challenge up and somehow only commit a few sentences to it. You're a legend through and through.

@@rarebeeph1783 I agree, but that's an entire rant in and of itself. RTA runners limiting themselves to categories they don't agree with/enjoy rather than doing their own thing is unfortunate, they get caught up with wanting to be number 1 over doing a run they enjoy. Can't say I'm not guilty of this myself to some degree.

This is one video that I appreciate to watch with subtitles, the hidden commentaries are the best. I have only seen that kind of dedication from TerminalMontage and Technology Connections.

As an 11-exit runner myself, I've often tried to explain parts of this speedrun in a way that is accurate but also concise and easy to understand. It is a LOT harder than it seems, particularly with cloud glitch, and I always end up either going way too far into detail or just glossing over some parts to avoid confusion, and I'm never quite satisfied with the explanation I give. This video is the best 11-exit rundown I have ever seen, and it's not even close. It explains everything very clearly and somehow does so without oversimplifying the mechanics going on behind the scenes, remaining consistently thorough across each and every level. Heck, I even learned some stuff- I had no idea that there were tactics to reduce the lag in Bowser's disco room using your score! This was a super enjoyable watch, and I'm glad to know I now have a great reference to whip out if I need to explain anything. Thanks for the high quality stuff, I know that a ton of effort had to go into making it.

I remember watching SethBling's SMW speedruns when this strat was found. It was really exciting at the time and this was a great video explaining the run in detail. I would love to see a series on how the 0 exit run evolved over time, as seeing the route go from ~5 minutes to ~40 seconds was entertaining and the techincal details of ACE are interesting. That would be a pretty big undertaking though.

And it's somehow comforting to know that the explanations exist, even if I'm not able to understand. ✌️🍍

This is my favorite vid of yours. I've watched it 4 times! The run is so cool, and the cloud glitch is awesome. It's so early in the game and they perform such an insane glitch and carry a broken power up all the way to the end of the game.

Algo pushed me here ! The quality of your explanations vastly surpasses anything I've seen on speedruns. Of course, this is no jab to the live commentators on events since you need half an hour to dissect 9 minutes, but I'm really, really glad to finally understand what actually goes on on those crazy runs. You won my sub, keep up the stellar work.
