I'm very optimistic about the benefits AI brings, but I can't help but feel uncomfortable with how good AI music, art, deepfaking is. I think real music will always still have its place, but AI music will become a thing.
@@fudgestick1534 It's kind of a cool thing imo. I feel like most people would want to go to a concert with real artists etc, but I fail to see the harm if song writers can utilize technology to make good music.
I'm not in the music field at all and I'm happy I can get a laugh or two out of a streamer with a song I wrote in 10 minutes. It's a cool tool for one off scenarios. If AI can eventually create identical music to leading hits, why is that inherently a bad thing? Ghost writers, big producers, etc, are all using these A list pop stars to regurgitate something a song writer wrote in 20 minutes...
The "artists" that are "at risk", are those that are just acting as AI already. If you don't create anything yourself, and just perform songs written for you, what are you offering (outside of live performances) that AI can't? Why is that wrong?
