You could be right. The bulbs dod not even last a year though. So not worth the money in my opinion. I have "Ring" long life bulbs in now, and really can't tell the difference in brightness.
Looking for a H7 bulb but seen in one of the comments below that these did not last a year which means they are not worth it for the price. What would you recommend as my dipped beams are yellow, not very bright and the range is not very good? I want a better experience driving at night as I avoid country lanes and roads without street lighting as I can barely see ahead of me if there are no lights.
Ya they did not last as long as I would have hoped. I would buy some decent name brand bulbs and make sure your lenses are clear and not UV damaged. If you have front fog lamps like mine then I would put some decent LED bulbs in those and use them on the dark countryside roads. I found NovSight LEDs to be decent quality myself. Fog lights are not part of the MOT, so it will not effect it. I have a video of how to restore your headlamp lenses if you need.
Ya I can see a little difference in colour. Not a whole lot brighter from what it looked like in the video. I have LED headlamps in my vehicle and I love them. Even the pattern is good with the correct cut off, i never have any issues with on coming traffic. I think it is stupid they changed the MOT rule that all LED bulbs are a fail if the vehicle did not come with them originally or only in projection headlamps. Mine are reflector on an old vehicle and they are fine. Then again, my bulbs are good quality bulbs that you can adjust to make sure the beam pattern is correct. In fact they are the same ones you did in your previous video a couple years ago 🤔😅
Thanks for watching. I do agree with you about the LED headlamp thing. If the beam pattern is good then they should be OK as they will not dazzle oncoming traffic. Many new vehicles have LED lamps fitted from factory and some are damn bright. Audi even has something called laser lights which are insanely bright as well as I think JLR.
@@tradycja61 cool mate. I think the same thing. If you get good quality LEDs then they are normally fine. I had NovSight LEDs in annold vehicle of mine. They were perfect and had a great pattern. But that being said, if a MOT tester wants to stick to the book, then if the vehicle is not built with LED headlamps, it will fail MOT.
@@tradycja61 hi saw your comment. Any links/advice which led H7 you have? Ive got led H15s/T10s+H7s, however im worried regarding the mot issue/not being "road legal" cheers!
your headlights are so oxidized, if you spend money on quality lights you really need to spend half an hour sanding off the oxidation, polishing up to a good clarity and protecting them, these bulbs make a big difference on mine and my friends car (at night.)
Yes I know they are foggy. I have seen worse then mine. But you will be glad to know that I have done that. These bulbs may be better in certain vehicles, depending on the design of the reflector and the lenses on the housing. I think these did make a bit of a difference. But I have used headlamp bulbs like LED ones that were much better then these for not much more money. If you like check out my other video where I installed them in a different vehicle I own.
You are mistaking brightness for color temperature.
A lamp can be as warm ("yellow") in color temperature as the old ones, yet be brighter.

Dude...take a ride and record when it's dark if you want to see how much better light they output.
Wasted 8 minutes of my life...
Thanks for watching 👍, unfortunately it is illegal to drive and be holding my camera at the same time, so I couldn't do that.

I have the.same clips on my 2007 mazda 3 and i HATE THEM!!!! They are so annoying
Ya they can be. Several different manufacturers use them lol.
@@motormind4788 sometimes you clip it in and the bulb still moves around
They sometimes need rebending so they can hold the bulb in the case securely.
