fun fact: the person who originally created mozzarella created it whilst trying to make their special warm vinegar flavoured milk, whilst making a batch they left the pan on the stove for too long, creating curds. then the pan tilted just enough for the curds to go into a strainer. the strainer was transported back to the pan by a few rats who smelt the cheese, dipping the strainer in and out of the pan to taste it. as the original warm vinegar flavoured milk seller came back, he saw the finsihed product. or soemthing idk

That isn't 'fake' mozzarella, that IS mozzarella. Any coagulant can be used, rennet is just the preferred one.
