I was watching a documentary about navy seals a while back, and I dissolved into the most inappropriately timed giggle fit when one of the seals they interviewed started describing all the different type of "doggles" they have for their canine partners. They have doggles for parachuting, night vision doggles, on and on, each one making me giggle more than the last. 🤭🥽🐶🤭

Been feeling properly depressed for the longest time, this just came up on my feed of suggested videos and it's the first time I've smiled in ages! This is such a heartwarming story both from the Dogs perspective and Her Owners perspective! I'm so glad she beat the Cancer! (Dogs just know these things I bet she knew she was ill and wanted to bond to help somehow.. ) this is a great story for both of them just brilliant! I love this..

That dog just wanted a friend, and she wanted to be with Laurette because she felt comfortable around/with her.

Dogs are able to smell cancer, scientific studies showed they were able to do so, there are many stories like this, in which the dogs smell cancer and become extra loving and taking care of humans when they are in such a state, there are even dogs getting trained to smell cancer off of people since they detect it pretty easily.
They are loving, loyal, sympathetic and caring animals, they will always stand by your side when you need them the most.
I made this comment once before, months back... "The best thing that mankind ever did, was to take pity on, or otherwise somehow bring wolves into a mutually beneficial relationship however many aeons ago..." No other technology, has been so peaceful, safe, rewarding, wether herbivore or carnivore, as domestication and husbandry... Of dogs! It Has benefited us exponentially! The most feral of dogs are easier to understand than some people. I wish a dog would Rescue me...

Can’t stop crying. Adopted a starved dog (his body had eaten his muscle. He was bone and skin.. I got him from the shelter after my ovarian cancer and I loved him like I have never loved another animal or human. I only had him one year and four months but I miss him every day. I cry for him every day. Sam, my sweet brindle boy all I ask is that we meet again pain free. I love you forever.
I'm truly sorry for your loss 💕 It sounds like your time with Sam was meant to be and I'm so glad you got to spend that time with him - even if it feels cut short.
After a life-changing injury, I decided to adopt. As we walked along the kennel block at the shelter, there was one elderly, tiny little terrier shaking at the back of her kennel, terrified of the other dogs barking and with half her fur missing. We took one look and just knew she had to come home with us.
We got 15 months with her before congestive heart failure took her & I felt robbed - until I realised what we'd achieved. Nobody could change her past, but we could change her future. Her fur grew back in 8 weeks. She went to a wedding, a graduation, the Paralympics (still not sure how we pulled that one off!), travelled the country, learnt to play, ended up in the paper and, most importantly, knew she was loved. For my part, knowing she was happy gave me purpose and taught me that I wasn't useless, just different to how I used to be. She taught me what was important and inspired me to focus on that and truly live again.
I share this in the hope that focusing on the time you *did* get will help you as you grieve like it helped me. Sam got to experience love, kindness, and compassion - & that's all that matters. You met when you needed each other and he made you his world. Apologies for the essay, but I hope it helps. Thinking of you and wishing you good health and happiness 💕 x

The narrator sounded like the was reading a children’s book, it was sooo annoying.
While watching this before I heard about the cancer, I said to myself "this dog knows something about your health"........ Then a minute later you said you had cancer. I rescued 3 dogs. After 2 yrs, the sheep dog would not leave me alone&even started sleeping on my lap for 2-3 months. I didn't know why I was being given this extra love but I was taking it. A month later she was acting weird under my feet all day, wouldn't let the other dogs near me. I didn't think nothing of it. The next day she just made me stay home with her because of her behavior. That day I started hemorrhaging. I had stage 4 cervical cancer. It wasn't until 6 months later after I was feeling well enough that I realized she knew but I wasn't listening. Dogs are amazing and truly Love ❤️

Apparently they have trained dogs that actually sniff out cancers ! And diseases, it’s sooo crazy but I feel like dogs and manny other animals sometimes can tell when another animal / person is sick. I remember when I was diagnosed with my kidney problems, my grumpy old grandmothers dog who never showed anyone love wouldn’t leave my lap. He refused. I got sicker and sicker and he wouldn’t do anything but lay on me and with me and basically protect me, a few hours later I was rushed to the er and eventually got diagnosed with ckd stage 3. I still can’t forget about how that grumpy old fart that growled at anyone who tried to get him in their lap besides nana, literally was glued to me. Never really considered the fact that he might have known until later on tho. Who knows maybe he sensed something was off before I did and that’s why he got so clingy.

Most dogs have this six sense of what person needs them the most. My guess is Geogia knew that this woman recovering from cancer needed her the most

They can smell basically anything about us.
When our mood changes, chemicals are released into our brain, or a lack of some chemicals like serotonin and dopamine makes us sad and/or depressed.
And they can smell that.
The neighbor didn’t want her, she felt it, and she also felt this young woman wanted and needed her! Happy Georgia has a home she is loved and appreciated in. Very happy this young woman beat her cancer!! (What about the other dog in the house, was it jealous? Or just glad to have a sister? 🐶🐶
You're right, I was told that my neighbor didn't like her and that he was planning on bringing her to the shelter. She pushed her way under my fence at just the right time! The beautiful boxer Chloe you saw in the video had just lost her best friend Uno a month before and seemed to be grieving (as was I) until Georgia came along. She not only helped me, but Chlo-bear, too.

I think animals have a six sense of who loves them. In our house my wife wanted a dog. We spent a whole day looking for the “Right” dog. But after we got the dog home, she picked me out and bonded with me. She is a great dog but just wants to be with me. It just turned out that way.

I adopted a barn cat when recovering, and it was the best thing, having a little buddy to look after took my focus elsewhere. All the best to you. Lovely story.
The bond between humans and dogs goes much deeper then will know but the love they give is unconditional - bad people crate bad - hurt dogs.. I miss my dog so much am in tears just writing this.. they just heal us but brake us when they pass on..

I can't imagine life without dogs either and besides that would cancel out most of the life I have lived. Most of the dogs I've had throughout my life came to me as unwanted ones and I took them in.
