Did you do it after the 1.06 update? Idk if you know but the license was impossible between 1.06 and 1.08 because you got put on the wrong tyres on 1.06, and on 1.07 they yeeted the servers. It should be pretty easy now.
Solid performance there on controller, very brave on the back straight too really attacking Blanchimont. Interesting to see you approach things slightly differently to myself but you were faster, might need to take a few pointers from you to better my own time!

My gold lap was actually really mediocre through the first two sectors compared to my best ghost time, I made all the difference in S3. Are you on PS4 or 5?

Thanks John👊 Don’t give up. What helped me learn to save the car is playing rally games like Dirt 2.0. It took a while, almost a whole year and it translated to saving the car in Gran Turismo. Also drifting helped too. Now I have to relearn it with the wheel because I just can’t do it confidently as I do with the controller. I’ve pinned Miyazono’s lap in the comments. He did it about 4 seconds faster than me. Much more smoother in contrast to my lunatic style. Try to copy his lap and guaranteed you will get gold. All the best!
Not really. Many in the comments said it was easier for them with the controller. Plus my driving was too aggressive, definitely can improve if I drive smoothly. But thanks for the compliment👊

Agreed, it wasn’t that the formula car is hard to drive because it’s one of the easiest, it’s mostly turn 4 and turn 6 where you have to be very precise with the timing of your turn in so you can make the corner flat out, which is hard to do on a controller consistently. However if you can nail those two corners, I got gold by nearly 2 seconds on my first gold run.

I’m so envious of anyone who has done this on controller. I’ve tried this for hours and I cannot control this car in the wet, no matter how well I try. I’ve got gold in every license test in every single event, from National B all the way up to the Super licenses, except this one! It’s my Achilles heel! I can’t do it. Personally I use 7 for controller sensitivity and no assists. I pinned a link to Miyazono’s lap which is way smoother and faster than mine. Try to imitate his lap and you should easily get gold👊

It was also my fourth attempt and it was vey frustrating because on the PS4 there was a bug when the game first came out where the game freezes for some reason and have to restart the game. Just a tiny dab to move the back end round maybe 6" .... There was no drifting round Spa at 150mph + believe me lol .... Ive just looked for a link but I cant find one.... @@Cerebalpaulsys I agree with you. When you are in cockpit view and FOV is adjusted correctly the more realistic it is to sense speed and as a result be quick. Although personally when using a controller, chase cam is just more natural and you can see ahead more easily. When using a wheel I prefer cockpit view but since you cannot change FOV settings in GT7(did not try yet, based on GTS you can’t) I rather use bumper cam or what the champs use...nose cam or whatever it’s called. The one Mikhail Hiazal, Miyazono and Igor Fraga use.
Many have commented that it was easier on the controller while some are still struggling. Personally I’m more confident on the controller because I just got a wheel and still getting used to it.
Maybe it's just me... I Completed this challenge on 4th attempt on controller. It seemed too easy because you know exactly what parts of the track not to touch via visual aid. Slightly let down that this was the final challenge of gt7 compared to final challenge of gt5 and gt6

Take note of braking points, gears used, throttle control...etc. personally I don’t use assists accept abs and controller sensitivity is 10, but I heard from others that using counter steer assists can help. I can't catch oversteer with the wheel (G29) but I can with the controller. Since license A9, I had to switch to the controller to get gold. Not sure what is going on 😅

I play everything on controller, won all golds, in bout 3 attempts average, i race better with controller, using car setups ive been using since gt 3 on ps2 and refined settings since gt 4. 🤷♂️

I can easily get perfect cornering with max speed with any car. I get way better lap times on controller, no matter how hard i try on wheel.

I'm calling pure bullshit on this tbh. The catch at the top of eau rouge is 100% a wheel users catch, zero chance of that with a controller without TC. It's no surprise you didn't show your hands in a separate window for this, because this was done on a wheel & therefore does not count. Wheel is straight easy mode.
I used aimbot🤣 Thank you for being honest. To be honest myself I did recently get a wheel, but I’m just faster on the controller as I still need to get used to the wheel. I can catch overseer on the controller way better than a wheel because it has been more than a year with the controller. And the only reason I’m catching it is because I assume I’ll lose it before losing it. You’ll just have to take my word for it. Plus such a lap cannot be replicated by me as I’m consistently inconsistent and was very lucky on eau rouge.
It's not impossible on controller, but throttle control is so difficult to do forcing us controller peeps into spins because we can't get the power down. Took me a while too with controller.

For me it feels natural on the controller. Whenever I’m using the wheel, I get in the fking car. Although I haven’t yet tried cockpit cam in GT7, but from GTS you can’t change FOV settings so it’s not the best camera and most go for the camera with the mirror...don’t know what it’s called.

Gold in every license with the controller plus no driver aids, the only thing I use is auto gears or else my hands cramp up.

Basically you dont have to be in gear to hit the corners but just in the proper RPM range and speed

Thank you for being honest. To be honest myself I did recently get a wheel, but I’m just faster on the controller as I still need to get used to the wheel. I can catch overseer on the controller way better than a wheel because it has been more than a year with the controller. And the only reason I’m catching it is because I assume I’ll lose it before losing it. You’ll just have to take my word for it. Plus such a lap cannot be replicated by me as I’m consistently inconsistent and was very lucky on eau rouge.

It's not impossible on controller, but throttle control is so difficult to do forcing us controller peeps into spins because we can't get the power down. Took me a while too with controller.

For me it feels natural on the controller. Whenever I’m using the wheel, I get in the fking car. Although I haven’t yet tried cockpit cam in GT7, but from GTS you can’t change FOV settings so it’s not the best camera and most go for the camera with the mirror...don’t know what it’s called.
