See over 1 MILLION Dollars of Norman's Rare Guitars in 10 minutes with Mark Agnesi - GIBSON
Super cool nice of them to be so hospitable
Priceless: Martin 0042S 8:14
theunofficialmartinguitarforum...
Nice !! :)
I like how they balance these $100,000 guitars on a crappy, wobbly stool.
Rupert Baxter it's not gonna break or get scratched even if it did fall
Rupert Baxter and he just throws em around like they are everyday practice gear lol
no matter how hot some chick is , there a dude that is tired of boning her ,
It's not your guitar so don't fucking worry about it.
@Mad Dog Fifi idk, after a couple years of dealing with high Quality stuff they become standar. So value loses meaning
Love the way these expensive guitars get bashed about like they're £100 guitars!!
i've always said that. if we did that, they'd kick us out asap
martlgr it's in a case lol
martlgr I flinched when I heard his rings clink off the Goldtop LP at the start... and the rosewood acoustic. We'd be in big trouble if we did that in this shop
Bite Sized Blues watch that Yngwie video where he throws a 60s strat in his limo
I could listen to Mark talk guitars all day - his knowledge is amazing.
that D'Angelico Bob is in Norms book and he explains how he got it.
that place must have some really tight security
I can't believe they keep that expensive Martin on a stand on the floor where it might get damaged omg
It's not your guitar so don't fucking worry about it.
Relative to their other stuff, it's worth a bag of chips.
Enjoyed the tour. Beautiful guitars. Have been keeping up with norm on you tube. Nice customer base. Hes doing something right. And his customers seem very happy. Thumbs up norm your a class act.
Norm's is my Mecca... I will make a pilgrimage one day. :)
I could seriously watch this ALL DAY LONG!!
The total value of the guitars shown was $472k not counting the *priceless* acoustic at the end (not $1 million) but who's counting lol
+Mitch Levis Actually this was an off camera quote from Mark Agnesi - and priceless 1902 1 of 6 when 1 is still at Martin I would say is worth well over 528 k - so NO it's not clickbait
Fair enough!
+Mitch Levis and forgot to say - the prices are subjective anyway - but I hope you still enjoyed it 🎸🌷
Mazeltov
Imagine the insurance Norm pays?!?!?
Cirne Songs my head hurts ....
Grrrr
LOVE THE ENERGY MARK!!!
Even the cases are awesome looking & colors!!
What is strange is that a lot of these guitars in the early 70's were less desirable than the new guitars. We didn't want a guitar played by someone else. We wanted our own new guitar. Then the collectors came in a bought everything up to sit on for 40 years. So they can sell guitars which should have been circulated for far more than their real worth to people who have way too much money. Guitars became a commodity.
I loved the question about any 80-90’s guitars! Yes, not locked up in the back room.
I've been back there, when I bought my 61 jazzmaster. Got to play a lot of old strats to.
I bought a Les Paul Deluxe sunburst new in 1975 with a hardshell purple lined case. I also kept the hang tag and original receipt. When I decided to sell it in 1996 the guys at the music store told me I would never get more than $500 (I paid $450). They said the Grover tuners that I had professionally installed destroyed the value of the guitar, along with some tiny scratches on the back (I couldn't see any). Finally I held out for $600 from a private buyer. Somewhere out there there's a guy with the guitar, case, receipt and hang tag. I shudder to think what that would be worth now. If I still had it I would never sell it. Oh, and the jokers at the music store told me, "Gibson didn't make a Deluxe in 1975, it must be a Standard."
Why would you save the hang tags and not original tuners?
That's just sick!!! I wonder how many people would love to work at Norm's!!!
Hey man great vid that was a lot of good guitars man and I saw that you had 1,999 subscribers so I subscribed and gave you 2k
Keith Kulis Jr ha well thank you 🌷🌷
That was Awesome!
thanks this is probebley the coolest vid i will see today
Is it just me or did you want to clap when he said its also a gold back and neck?
Mick Hayes unbelievable! I almost cried!! My heart hurts for that one!
freaking skulls all over it
I fell in love about 10 times in that one video !!!!!
I would love a look around there. I'd be like a kid in a sweet shop.
I'd be so paranoid if I owned a guitar store , sure insurance covers the monetary loss of theft incidents, but losing guitars which are essentially history pieces would be quite a painful ordeal.
so cool
Nice stuff
Hey you shut the case on one of the interior straps on the Stromberg.
That custom at the start!! 👌
Cool video.
Best show ever!#1
You guys should invite me out to look at these beautiful most likely one of a kind guitars.
Magic from another world
Mark is extremely knowledgeable
I like how the priceless Martin is just out on a cheap stand, on the floor, in the front, so that some 3 year old could come by and shove his ice creme cone down the soundhole.
crushes my soul to just find out how much these things cost. I guess it'll just be another dream
to one day shop at Norman's is a little dream of mine
*Mark:*
"You guys like basses?"
*Guys behind camera:*
* hesitates *
"..yes?..."
lol
ฬђ๏ ha 😝 good catch 😝😝😝
That was great. I give you five stars ***** :-)
I want to know what was in the cream colour flight case on the floor?
Why is that 1902 Martin out on the floor???
When I graduate from Texas A&M and earn money down the road as a Chemical Engineer, I will come for that ‘55 Les Paul.
That gold Jazz Bass is breathtaking..
can't believe that priceless one of six made guitars is just left out on the floor and not up on a wall in a bullet proof glass case.
imagine explaining to norm and mark how you stumbled fell and made fire kindling of that guitar.
Man i wish i can play and photo with those guitars
That Stromberg is a beauty !!!
On the early strats / teles / Pbass etc. what’s the point of the tremolo / bridge cover?
They look nice but what’s the function?
i would buy Petty's SG just to get that hat
Nahhhh!! If Jimmy, or Jimi, SRV, Prince, or one of the Beatles guitars were in there, THEN I'd get excited !! Tom petty doesn't impress me that much, and I'm a native Floridian : ) !!
cheryl lakin haha, no one cares dude...
Something tells me that SG just rocketed up in value already. RIP TP
i saw him at the meadowlands on that tour with dylan, i'm with you 10000000%
I would buy Petty’s SG just because I love SGs
They have a '64 Jaguar with matching headstock and I want it so much.
It's $140,000
Niiiiice
i guess they have the greatest fire protection....and armed soldiers at the door haha.
the story they are not telling u are the poor bastards that brought those guitars in and got their asses ripped off !
Ron Azbill sure..as in any, every store
Not surprised !! Just like a pawn shop eh?!
True. The billionaires like Norm always win
Would you be willing to drop every penny you have on guitars, in the hope that they will go up in value? Because Norm did that for decades - and during a time when Strats and Les Pauls definitely weren’t sure-things.
I bought a late 60s Gibson ES, in LA, about a decade ago, for about $4k (the going rate) because I always wanted one, and was convinced they would go up in value. I thought I couldn’t lose. Guess what - the price hasn’t moved up at all lol. I’d struggle to even get $4k for it right now. It’s a lot harder than you think. Takes serious balls to invest in guitars when the entire guitar economy is like the stock market - prices go up/down and can flatline for literally decades
He makes money now, but that’s only from literally decades of risk taking, near bankruptcies, and rolling the dice
The total inventory carried by this place must just be unfathomable.
Norm's prices are literally Barrett Jackson auction of guitars. Insane
Alright!
I counted the total cost: $477K, and that's not even including the D'Angelico, which wasn't priced. I guess the priceless guitar rounds up to a million.
My 1st stop after I win the Powerball.... Yes mark all of those guitars I'll take them... Can you have them restrung and set up by the end of day
heaven exists!
I would like here them playing. Every one of them.
the level of arousal in this room is just amazing
This is just insane.
2:19 but im a lefty tho so..... nice to look at!
6:29! Thats the gem, whats the insurance value of that store? Personally i would not have all these guitars in the same location in case the unthinkable happend! I'm Amazed at how you just drag them out banging the case is around slap some down grab them with his hands full of rings absolutely amazing. I have a modest collection epiphone's the most expensive might be a Couple Grand in price and I handle them literally like they are the Mona Lisa. I know they're versatile I know they're only instruments I know they're meant to be played gigged xcetera but it absolutely blows my mind at how he handles these guitars I'm not saying that he's damaging them in anyway but just blows my mind. I guess if anybody's looking for a curator I would be the obvious choice, meanwhile to do this video would have taken me about 6 hours because I would have been so careful with the guitars
I absolutely appreciate and understand
It's a case of familiarity breeds contempt (a bit harsh) but that's what happens, like guys who work around really expensive cars you tend to see that in some people
How mutch for å clooset cleen condition 1962 duo sonic all original?
Sorry for my english
Its like olivander’s wand shop but guitars
D'oh ! 💲💲
Hi Chad what can I expect to pay for original ibanez black eagle,,and do you have one?,,,thank you.
that guy recording the video... THAT HE COULD HAVE JUST WATCHED HERE
Brandon Gallant ha 😃 he was a friend of mine 🎸
not mad or anything . but he could have saw more with his own eyes instead of recording :P
Brandon Gallant yes I know 😃😃 that's why I used the smile 👍🏻🌷
I just wanna park my butt on that stool for minute or two. All of the history that he's putting there...
3:33 - 3:35 = Guitargasm.
How much do you think of Randy Roades guitar would go for
Am I the only one who knows nothing about guitars but just likes how cool they look? I only listen to rap but I love looking at rare instruments lmao
I need to check into Cliffside Malibu.....
I know the black beauty is valuable, but the Gold..everywhere Les Paul is amazing!
Elvis that one makes me want to play the lottery! Haha, only way I'd ever own a masterpiece like that!!
Wow.
I wonder, in 100 yrs will they still be playable if kept well.
Oooh. Nice, NICE. Oh yeah, nice.
Holy cow I hope Norm has a good security system.
Great video! I do imagine the 'priceless' one of six made 1902 acoustic has to be out on the floor for potential buyers no? What sort of money are we actually talking here?
+MM PDJ I am not exactly sure - priceless seems to me to be something that needs a lock an key 😜
Chad Boston that's what I'm talking about how can that guitar just be sitting out there allowing anyone to grab hold of it and play it
I wonder what his entire inventory is valued at.. anyone care to guess??
moskii 1958 gotta be at least 50 mil right?
flexing HARD
Still amazed they slide those guitar cases across plywood like that, aren't some of those cases worth a lot of money too?
capnrob97 I was thinking the same thing. At least put some pool deck grade carpet back there.
Thats what the case is for
A case without its original guitar is devalued by half almost
Why the hell would bob sell that guitar?
Sharky For money.
How much is the diangelico???
Mark great show today. Mark I would like to request you too play something from the pioneering, trailblazing, all-female rock band FANNY. GREAT BAND AND SHOULD BE IN THE ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME NEXT BALLOT.
YOU WANTED THE BEST YOU GOT THE BEST LADIES AND GENTLEMEN "FANNY"
MARK....i want your job
Hmm an m5 or a vintage les paul... I'd take the les Paul!!
👍
Does norm take real estate as partial trades?
the gold gibson is 45 k closer to my price range than the black one now i just need 44200 more and i can take it home..neat.
That Tom Petty SG is probably worth a lot more now. RIP
Sorry I got drool all over your video chad!
Brock Davisson ha I know right🎸🎸😃
joe lives close by...lol that explains alot! the guy has good tast in guitars and amps and a severe addiction to collecting.
Is the 1 dollar guitar from dollar tree there
Pink Jackson yes
"Unfortunately Joe Bonamassa lives close by..."
Having seen the Reverb feature on his collection, makes perfect sense.
makes you think how good the glue was back in the day.
Paul from ottsville pa. Greast
Greatest show ever.
BRING UP THE VOLUME GUYS
I'll take em all. That's the only way I'd get them.
