Thank you, Stefan! It's truly an honor to feature your tools in my tutorials. Your DCTLs bring so much value to the color grading community. Looking forward to more of your innovative creations!
Nice one, I love your videos! I'd really be happy if you do a breakdown of the nodes one by one so we can have a more clear view of how they affect the image 🙌
Thanks for your feedback. I will keep that in mind and see if I can do a breakdown in my future tutorials. In the meantime, I recommend you watching my other tutorial focusing on node trees in particular: ruclips.net/video/b-7guGH4CH4/видео.html Hope it helps!
@@MediabeeColorLab I checked all your tutorials, they rock! BTW I want to ask when you add kodak 2383 or dehancer look, do you make a color balance first or you directly shoot to the look and adjust from there?
@@VfxKopele Thanks so much for checking out the tutorials! 🙌 When I add the Kodak 2383 or Dehancer look, I usually do a basic color balance first to ensure the image is in a good starting place. Then, I apply the look and make further adjustments to fine-tune it. It helps maintain control over the final result!
yes, Stefan builds great tools - nice guy as well. When you are applying the utility though and the skin goes yellow, magenta and green. I do believe that you started talking about actual magenta and green, while it was on the screen and some people may have been a bit confused. I think that Stefan's visual color representation is using those colors to show too much red and too much toward yellow from the skin line indicator. I could be wrong, but it was a tad confusing to tell if you were literally talking about actual magenta and green hues or the display hues.
Thank you for your question! I choose not to use DaVinci Resolve's YRGB Color Managed workflow primarily for the flexibility and control that manual color management offers. With manual setup, I can adjust the color management node by node, which is crucial for projects that require detailed color tuning or integration with graphics and other visual elements. This approach allows for more tailored adjustments and better integration with workflows that involve complex compositing or varying visual effects. Each approach has its benefits, but the ability to fine-tune every aspect of the color pipeline makes manual management more suited to my specific needs as a professional colorist.
Thank you for your kind words! I'm not entirely sure if the contour plugin has been publicly released yet. I was lucky to get early access to it. For the most accurate and up-to-date information, please check Cullen Kelly's website. They will have details on the release date and how to purchase it once available.
I can recommend a few solutions: First, try updating your software to 19. If the problem persists: Go to DaVinci Resolve > Preferences and check under the Video and Audio I/O tab to see if your dual monitor setup is configured correctly there. Within Resolve, you can also try adjusting the workspace layout. Go to Workspace > Video Clean Feed and see if you can select your second monitor. I hope one of these resolves the issue.

@@JimRobinson-colors good point, yes I meant to refer to the display hues.
I would love a video on a desaturated look - almost a bleach bypass - moreso like how they graded Bringing Out the Dead!
Thanks, noted. I will do my best to cover different film looks in my future tutorials.
Hi, May I know why aren’t you using YRGB colour managed of Davinci Resolve. There must be some thought behind it...!

resolve studio 18.6.6 lightbox not available on dual monitors setup mac. please help.

I know it was there on every version for Mac since around 16 - might be something else wrong. It's not the software or the version
@@JimRobinson-colors Interesting. I am curious what is causing it. Please let me know me know if you find a solution.
