Test match cricket is dying. This is happening not just because of the rise of new formats of the game (T20) or the development of worldwide franchise cricket, but also due to the failure of the existing test nations to help new test nations emerge. This test match is a case in point. Bangladesh were outclassed here, but only continued opportunities to perform at test level can change this. Those opportunities are not happening
