I've only just come across this vid. I'm not a Leeds fan or even a big football fan, but i do have a soft-spot for watching that team of the early '70s.
    From London with ♥

Eddie Gray was simply the Best dribbler of the ball I ever had the pleasure to watch. A magician. gd. Yorkshire UK.

If anyone needs further proof of what you say they can look at his goal against Burnley at Elland Road season 69/70. It's on youtube. He got two that day and they were both superb.

I only got to watch Leeds in the late 70s in person. Their glory days were receding. My heroes (some of whom were already gone) rather than a full team were: Tony Currie, Trevor Cherry, Joe Jordan,, Gordon McQueen, Eddie and Frank Gray, Billy Bremner and Peter Lorimer. You can see a bit of a Scottish bias there. I missed a lot of the really great players who had been there a few years earlier. These were my boyhood heroes and I still know their names today. These men were greater to me than Rambo/Superman/Batman/Rocky, etc.
Thanks for uploading this. Leeds United - thanks for making of one of the things in my life that I am passionate about. To all the players who have worn the strip - thank you.

You can see the English influences in Wilkinsons selection. Big Gordon McQueen not even in among the hopefuls.
      A pile of nonsense. 😂😂😂

Sprake cost us more trophies than anyone and he let in the 1st goal against chelsea in 70 cup final. David Harvey 100% everytime

It's not saying wilkinsons team was better. The best squad leeds had was the early 70's....brilliant team. Class players in every position.
Never got the credit they deserved because the london press hated leeds utd....when they were promoted in the 60's leeds ripped through the top flight like a whirlwind..destroying london teams..and anybody else they played.

This was undoubtably very good team indeed, but the early 70s team are something else not forgetting the mid to late 60s team of course which was also brilliant

Without any shadow of a doubt, Martyn's the keeper. I'd strongly consider Radabe for Hunter and John Charles is an absolute gimme over Jones. Clarke or Hasselbaink would be a good discussion. And if we're talking about players who've played for Leeds rather than Leeds legends then Cantona and Ferdinand have to be considered.

Mate. Leeds were an amazing team back then who didn't nearly win as many trophies as they should have. But Ajax won the European cup three times in a row between 1970 and '73. Bit much to say that Leeds were rated ahead of them.
