Hey mates, this video saved me some serious fed. My backup camera on my 2008 L322 HSE has not worked for years. I followed all of your direction and it worked like a charm best of all I did it in about an hour including soldering the wires directly to the circuit board. Wish I could post a picture that I took right after I finished of my dashboard showing the back up camera fully functional.

My next project is how to retro fit a 2005-2009 D3 Bluetooth mod with a 2009-2012 D4 bluetooth module. I have read about the process but have yet to try. Been looking for a YT instructionl video on the wiring harness part. It changed from a 3 row harness to a 2 row so can not just integrate the harness. You two seem like the type of chaps that would hack around with a project like this, so If you know of any videos or feel like giving it a go that would be much appreciated.
Sad news to report, this fix only worked for a short period of time until it failed and retrying soldering the joints did not fix the problem a second time. SOLUTION, I ordered one of those after market Cameras from eBay for $48.00. (don't get a cheeper one) The camera I got has a Sony chip set on the board and the lens is glass and is 2mm larger then the OEM camera and best of all it's HD. I followed the same soldering process this video shows on how to solder the joints and a simple retrofit into the same holder under the spoiler and voila works amazingly well now with back up lines.

Hi. I just installed the camera kit from these guys and the image quality is much better than ever. Our intermittent camera problems have gone away.

Hi Guys just like to say thanks for the vids I have an L322 4.2SC rear cam started playing up watched your vid removed and repaired broken solder joint but only lasted a few days so ordered a cam from you ! Arrived inside 48 hours fitted and working and its perfect ! Thanks again Chris

@@L663 Just tried the soldering, and it still doesn't work. UGH!!!! How much are your cameras? I may be able to put in a different camera from an FPV drone that runs on 12 Volts. Should have an extra around here somewhere. Be nice to have it all original though.
Hi, can you fit the rear spoiler with a camera to an L322 without a camera? I know the wires etc would be missing but would like the camera location in the original position. Great videos by the way.

Do you know with 2008 Range Rover Sport HSE if you can just add the camera to the back and it will work as an add on without adding extra wires?
It seems like the Navigation is standard and the harmon kardon stereo

Excellent video and well done JOB mate . my 2006 will work super crisp when temperatures are close to 0 deg ...was is for Alaska i have no idea because once we are 2deg c and up it just goes dead again till the next frost.

can you guys do a video on how to install (if possible) an aftermarket reverse cam to the 2005 L322. not sure if I have to run the video wire to the back of the nav. unit or if there is some prewiring somewhere closer to the rear of the truck I can access?

Hi I know this was a while back, but do you have any tips on soldering the wires to the pins on this camera (there so small and pin case is an issue) cutting it away and cleaning and then insulating etc?
I have this very issue and rather than spend mega bucks on new camera this method works for me, if only I knew how you soldered the wires to pins?
I noticed your picture didn’t have the color grid lines. I had them but now I don’t. Any idea on why they went away or how to get them back?
No not sure how to activate this feature - i would think it in the control unit not the camera as they should turn with the steering wheel
ok i did that with my 06 RR hse it worked fine when i put it back together but as soon as i mounted it back it went out again i even soldered the 4 wires on the camera can u let me know if there is something else that can be the problem. when i mess with the signal wire not the positive and neg but the other it seems to work for a bit then cuts out when i try to install it back.
Yes the connections seem to be a real problem - no magic solution for you sorry - you just need to make sure all connections are good !

I have this rover. My ignition is not right. If I pull the key out and out it back I can't start it. Won't turn. If I pull negative terminal for 5 sec and put it back with key in it it will start?? What the hell?? Can I install a push start in this situation
This is interesting - there is some sort of ECU reset happening.

Hi - i am pretty sure this would improve the picture but not sure how tricky this is. For me the picture is good enough for reversing but it is something we may look at.

Hi wonder if you can help got a 2011 Range Rover autobiography my screen won't come on the camera is not working sometimes the doors don't lock at the back some times they don't unlock the display for the Saf nav won't turn on at all constant amber flashing light on the power button the screen shows Range Rover but doesn't come on at all it was working fully fine two weeks ago had some repairs to the rear bumper and tail gate n when I got it back it's not working now

Is this both headlights ? is this on LOW beam and HIGH beam ?
powerfulukltd on low beam in the main beam headlights....and the big beam shows to high...
i need an answer because each one cost 700€ maybe is a regulation to fix the headlights
have you had any luck with a cheapy reverse camera and a BNC convertor cable? I'm planning to try that at some point.
Hi - I have loads of Evoque reversing cameras...100's in fact but need to work out how to change the wiring to suit ! my urgency has reduced following the miracle of Ian and myself managing to fix our camera !
