I remember when this game came out in the 90's, it was a big hit. Other than the dead zombies walking around, the thing that really scared me was watching the scientists run away and say "Help Me" before being killed. The part at 4:50 where Sophie gets smacked across the room was crazy. First she says that she was so scared and then....Wack lol!
What do you guys think if Sega did remakes of the house of the dead's 1 and 2 with the same art style that they used in the house of the dead 4 and special?
I hear rumors of SEGA losing the source code for the first HotD, but AM1 still had it when they were developing HotD 2 (because in the Dreamcast attract mode you can see Rogan and G). I feel as if it was more like the game was considered outdated, though.

Hey man thanks for providing the emulator and rom links, but my crosshair is messed UP :S, my mouse pointer is on one side and the crosshair in the other, not centered like yours in the video, so i cant seem to be able to aim properly, how can i fix this?? i tried to config controls in the setup but I dont see any options about the crosshair and such :(
neueziel85 First, load up the House Of The Dead rom. Then, press the test button (F2 by default), and move around the menu using the service button (F1 by default). Then, press the test button again when Gun Setting is highlighted. Now, press the test button when Player 1 Gun Adjustment is highlighted. Now you can calibrate the gun. Once you´re done calibrating, press the test button to memorize. Now, just select exit and press the test button until you go back to the game. The crosshair should be calibrated correctly now.
Thanks I think I got it right, just one more question, how can I align my mouse cursor with the crosshair like you did in your video, I cant see to do it on gun ajudstment, I mean the crosshair is fine and it shoots correctly in the center but I would like to put my mouse cursor on the center too
neueziel85 You can´t change the resolution of the windowed mode, or else the mouse cursor will not be in the center of the crosshair. If you don´t like playing with a small resolution, click on video while the rom is loaded and switch to fullscreen.
Got it, I fixed it now, thanks a lot, I have seen some of your games and it got me interested since most of them are played on DEMUL. is the gun calibration on it the same as the sega 2 model emulator??
