I'm hearing SEGA lost the source code, but I feel as if it was more like the game was considered outdated. The game hasn't been ported since 1998, but the graphics were used in the Dreamcast intro of HotD2. I know SEGA still has the source code for several other Model 2 games.
For those who have played HoTD OverKill and read the prequel comic Prelude to an Overkill, do you think the characters of Thomas and Sophie Rogan were completely ignored and deserve an appearance as leading characters in a comic sequel called Epilogue to an Overkill?

I'm using my ps3 controller on this emulator but it wont allow me to move along the screen with the D pad or analogs....is there any way to change this (sick of using the mouse pad) and I don't have a light gun...... :(
i noticed the wallpaper, tiles on floors textures like the ones as soon you enter the mansion still missing, no matter how many times they update the emulator
And the audio for stage 2, the boss music and Magician theme songs have never sounded right. I believe the emulator author (ElSemi) actually got hired at SEGA so I'm not sure if he can update the Model 2 Emulator anytime soon. I hope someone can upload footage of HotD from actual arcade hardware sometime, but I give this man credit for having crosshairs off.
The Sophie is a corpse ending happens if the number of continues you used ends in a zero. The Leaving the house ending, you get by default. The Sophie is alive ending happens when you get 62000 points or more.
There are coins and golden frogs you can shoot to increase your score. If you manage to rescue all the scientists, you'll gain access to a bonus room. If a zombie kills a scientist before you kill it, 100 points will be deducted. If you kill a scientist by accident, 200 points will be deducted and a life torch will be extinguished.

At any rate . . . . HOTD 1 & 2 would be nice to be redone in HD style (and play like HOTD 3 & 4).

Don't you guys agree green blood is less disgusting than red blood?
I prefer the red blood, honestly. Making it green feels like they were trying to censor it.
