The WRC is the FIA World Rally Championship, a tough motorsport using rally cars on real roads around the world. Watch the best rally drivers battle on gravel and asphalt roads with mud, rain, dust, ice and heat! Watch high speed action as the rally drivers power slide and drift round narrow corners, go flat out over a big jump or through a watersplash, handbrake turn round a hairpin, survive a big moment, or have a massive crash! Rally requires maximum attack and careful tactics to become world rally champion.
Each rally has timed sections called special stages, on closed roads. Drivers complete these stages as quickly as possible. A co-driver reads pace notes that explain the hazards ahead. Rally drivers use the same rally car to travel to each stage on public roads, following normal traffic regulations. The crew which completes all the stages in the shortest time is the rally winner. Championship points are won using the same scoring system as Formula 1. The championship is administered by Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA), motorsport's world governing body.
Over 30 countries have hosted WRC rallies. Rally Monte Carlo, Rally Argentina, Rally Finland, Rally Portugal, Tour de Corse on Corsica, France, Rally Sardegna on Sardinia, Italy, Safari Rally in Kenya, Acropolis Rally in Greece, Rally New Zealand, Rally Australia, Rally Japan, Rally GB, Rally Catalunya, Rallye Deutschland, Rally Mexico and many more.
Some of the world's greatest drivers have won the FIA World Rally Championship for Drivers, like Colin McRae, Carlos Sainz, Walter Röhrl, Stig Blomqvist, Petter Solberg, Ott Tänak. The list of world rally champions includes many Finnish rally drivers like Juha Kankkunen, Tommi Mäkinen, Ari Vatanen, Marcus Grönholm, Hannu Mikkola. French drivers have had success with Sébastien Ogier, and 9 times world champion Sébastien Loeb. Famous drivers from other motorsports have come to try rally driving like Ken Block from Rallycross, and Robert Kubica and Kimi Räikkönen from F1.
Car companies compete for the prestigious FIA World Rally Championship for Manufacturers awarded to the most successful WRC constructor. Winners include Citroen, Hyundai, Volkswagen and Peugeot. Ford have had success with the Ford Escort, Ford Focus and Ford Fiesta when the M-Sport team won in 2017.
The 1980's featured the iconic Group B rally cars like the Lancia 037 and Delta S4, Peugeot 205 T16, MG Metro 6R4, Ford RS200 and Audi Quattro.
Japan dominated the 1990s with the Mitsubishi Lancer, Subaru Impreza, and Toyota Celica and Toyota Corolla. Toyota returned to the WRC in 2017 with the Toyota Yaris WRC, winning in 2018. Why is it so hard for the developers to understand how much money they're missing out on by pumping out these shitty games every year? They've got so much potential to make a great game since they have the license for the official cars and tracks. The need for a proper rally sim is bigger than ever. Even if they dont want to make a complete sim then they could implement something along the dirt 4 path by letting the arcade players use the arcade mode and sim players sim mode, everyone will be happy and the game will make 20x more money than it is making now.

Thanks you so much for this amazing game. Ive only just started playing today, and its such a big improvement. Could actually be one of my favorites.Whats more it hopefully means that every wrc game from now on will be as good, which is very very exciting for a bigtime sim racers like myself. Good work! Only need the vr to be added to make it one of the best driving games out there.

New engine + Richard Burn's Rally physics = that's all we need.
Since ERC is also under the FIA, i wonder why they don't include some of those rallies. Azores Rally needs to be in a game, and Greece, Canary Islands, and this year's Italy Rally had great stages.

Adrian Lol, my thoughts entirely. They've released NGP versions of the new Hyundai and Ford, still waiting on the Citroën and Yaris though.

If they continue developing the game with the pace of improvements like they made from WRC 4 to WRC 5 to WRC 6 then WRC 10 might actually be worth buying, but at the moment I think WRC 7 will be not good enough to compete with Dirt Rally for example, but it's getting better and better, but at the moment it needs physics & graphics improvements. But of course you can buy the current titles to support them.
If it has triple screens, even unsupported, on PC, I will be interested... My smaller side monitors hide a lot of the "stretching."

You should try making something good since you wont let anyone else use official WRC cars. Hard to say from the trailer if this will be good or horrible but by looking at your past i can suggest that you should use your time and mind to it

Work with codemaster, and mixing real life footage and ingame footage generally doesn't make a game look better. It actually makes things look far worse most of the time

Pathetic. Just give it to other studio next year. Both Kylotonn and Milestone don't give the series the justice.
Ardimo Harsa milestone use the unreal 4 engine now so I'm guessing they could do a good job

Guys, either with Codemasters or another studio, one would probably have a massively arcade game: The F1 games are not 100% simulation while they could make a total simulation (dirt rally), because the FIA wants the games using its licenses to be oriented mainstream to better sell and not be too restricted in the targeted clientele as can be Assetto Corsa for example. Then, probably the overall quality of the game could be better, I dont know. (Sorry for my bad English).

Graphic wise it's almost decent but the way the car drives is so not realistic..its time you guys get a decent coder in for that !

Yes the official licence deserves a simulation as good as dirt rally tired of the arcade games. Or atleast an option for simulation. Would be awesome to endure some long stages with the official cars and try to imagine what it is like for the drivers.

I would have agreed with you if Codemaster didn't royally f up car handling in the rally simulation mode of Dirt 4.
Codemasters isn't doing that good either, look at F1 2017. Dirt and WRC are two different things

KRIBZ 45 you are right .it s amixture of real life and in game or rendered visuals.watch carefully you will see.for example second 14 to 17 is in game.at 15th second look for the back and the ground and the bushes.check the ground carefully

The sound seems good, but the visuals and as usual, the handling will be awful. You should really spend more time developing the game, working on a new engine and getting a simulation handling mode down well, or pass the license onto someone else because honestly, compared to the Dirt series, this is just embarrassing.
Dirt 4 is still better.
