And I don't mean just with speed, but easier driving at lover speed/start-stop situations too. On race mode gearbox is so agressive that if they would start the car with less than half of gas, engine would stal... I watched launches in rally finland 2018 and can say that 5 meters away from the cars and the sound fucking hurts....must plug ears after 2 or 3 cars...super loud. Toyota was loudest of them all

To break it down a bit, when the driver takes his foot off of the throttle there are less exhaust gasses to keep the turbo spinning and the turbine could slow down. To prevent this happening we developed an anti-lag system to keep the turbine spinning - and it's this pressured system that makes the whistling or chirping noise on deceleration.
