Had mine off and on display. He has been in the attic for a few years, but I think this has encouraged me to fetch him down and find space for him somehow.
The NECA 1/4th scale Big Chap Alien looks really good. It's easily one of the best figures that NECA has produced, if not the best. It holds up very well even after all these years. The overall sculpt, paint application, and details are top notch. The figure has an amazing shelf presence for sure. NECA went all out with this one and it really shows. I have a few 1/4th scale pieces myself. I have the Hot Toys Avengers Infinity War Thanos, the Hot Toys Avengers Age of Ultron Hulk, the NECA TMNT Michaelangelo (movie version), and the NECA Halo Master Chief. Hi Dean! That's what I call a Ginormous Alien Figure!!! Neca truly Killed the Big Chap Quarter Scale Figure, right on the Head to Feet! The Designed and Detailing Looked Insanely Phenomenal! And really Movie Accurate Indeed! 👽👽👽👍👍
yes, certainly THE BEST 1/4 scale Neca figure of all times ! i have it, and its probably the best part of my collection...with my chuchy 1:1 neca. Neca made a very good job with alien licence.
Love the alien videos Dean and some funny one liners in there fkn 2ft glass and JJ Abrams creaming himself 😂😂😂 just waiting on my masterverse motu trap jaw figure now.
I own this version along with 4 other 1/4 Scale NECA figures, i.e, Predator 1 & 2 and what I believe is the 1st Gen of this figure and the Aliens Warrior figure. I Love them all, but all the joints weaken after time and require the use of stands and/or fishing line to keep them standing and not falling. In all these years one would hope that NECA would improve the joints, but sadly that isn't the case. It is therefore my opinion that NECA uses a softer plastic on the joint material to avoid breakage, but over time this material stretches and/or shrinks.
I've had zero luck with my NECA xenomorphs. I had the pink/purple Razor claw Alien, fell off a shelf a couple of feet and the leg snapped off. Had the blue ALIENS warrior xeno and the same thing damn thing happened. Only this one fell from a shelf higher and the leg broke clean off. Thats 2 for 2 broken figures. I'm gonna try again down the line but... Currently, my favorite ALIEN xeno figure is my 5inch Figarts/Hiya figure. Highly articulated, fits into some good hiding spaces and is NOT BROKEN
I love this figure, I made mine a display of the nostromo to pose it. But I have a complaint with this figure and it is that it is a lottery for those of us who are more observant, the dome will not always be well placed on the head, sometimes it is under the tubes that separate the skull or sometimes very high up, which causes the skull to can be seen with the naked eye, fortunately mine was perfectly glued but I have seen others very, very bad.
I want more i wish neca would do a wolf 1/4th scale predator i'd get him. It's a shame they don't produce more 1/4th scale figures. I've got the 1/4th city hunter 1/4th elder predator 1/4th warrior predator 1/4th gort predator and 1/4th neca michael keaton batman. I love them all!
One thing I don't get from Romulus, is that they had a super tall actor (the last creepy monster). Why didn't they just get him on a suit like the big chap and get him to act??? Instead they went for the animatronic with the inverted dog leg type of desig. IMO that was the biggest miss of the movie. Having a slow pace xeno like the big chap stalking them like myers in that ship could have been incredible. I need 20 more minutes of that movie with that and I will call it perfect.
Neca really are the champions of Alien figures. I do hope Hot Toys does a figure for Romulus, or perhaps 2.0 or the older Alien figures. Love my Hot Toys Warrior, but I’d love a Big Chap to go with him and the Hot Toys one doesn’t quite do it for me.
I absolutely love mine but his knees went super loose years ago and he won't stand up on his own without strategic leaning and tail support :/ Shame cos it's such a perfect figure!

i think the bent knee was intencional because of the actor that used the xenomorph suit in the movie

I just saw Alien Romules. And i liked it! It was a mix of all the Alien movies and tied togheter. The end was so creapy haha.

its horrible Neca dont make 1/6 figures, so you must to buy hot toys aliens and predators in order to put them beside the human characters -_-
