    It feels like we are currently running a marathon and any minute you think you are about to see the finish line just to see another 500 yard Par 4 staring you right in the face haha. The rain starts to come down and the wind starts to pick up just in time as Patrick and I are barely hanging out. Can our trusty caddie Jack bring us across the finish line? Or do we fall short an die inthe middle of the fairway of Bethpage Black haha.

    great video (and commentary). covers all the body-blows bethpage can deliver. Maybe the rain slowed the greens - you'd normally be right to be wary. I've played there are few times now, so really enjoy watching the pros play it / get beat up by it, especially holes like 4, 10, 15, 17. And this year, 12 also. It's the best public course on the east coast, I think.

    Guys much Kudos for showing a video that was honest and no holds barred, warts and all golf . I watched all parts of this video because I can see you guys are descent golfers and you just showed everyone how difficult the courses for Majors are, thats better than what the clown with the glasses in the UK does when he posts a video, you only get to see his good shots mostly. If there is anything I would have liked to see, would have been you guys playing the correct tees, and putting out every hole properly. That being said a very enjoyable video, well done guys.

    this video is exactly why I rarely go out to the black - every 12 hcp wants to play the tips --and most of them without the benefit of a caddy--and its 6 hrs out there on a tough walking course. honestly it would have been more interesting to watch you play it from the middle tees of 6900 -and it stilll would have been plenty hard.

    • @paulfrombrooklyn5409
      @paulfrombrooklyn5409 5 лет назад

      I agree 100%. I have played the black course twice. I play the white tees. That is my level of play. Why would I want to play a round of golf knowing that I made the course much harder for me and have little to no chance of playing half way decent. Even from the white tees, I scored 102 one time and 103 the next. I did par 2 holes in one round and I consider that amazing.

This course is very hard and I also played it from the tips except I didn’t do the foot in the rough. That just seems dumb especially when it’s wet out. Respect you played a course at 7700 yards that played even further in wet conditions. Didn’t look like you guys were getting roll out on fairways very much.

    Right handed players want to hit a fade off the tee on 16 - the slight dogleg left is deceptive, it actually makes more sense to move it away from the trees rather than towards them because the landing area is the same size with either shot shape and the bunkers aren't in play off the tee. Left is dead and you want your ball moving away from the trouble.

    Your salty attitude when others get lucky or you get unlucky is very common in poker circles. Players often feel they deserve better, you can only put yourself in the best positions possible and make the best of it. I get the competitive nature of it but getting distracted because someone else get's lucky is a poor mans mental game ;) Love the channel and it's a inspiration seeing how your game improves.

    Not the lowest and best scores nevertheless an entertaining round.
    How many strokes you think the one foot rough challenge cost?

    Playing Bethpage alone is extremely hard. The rain probably made it unbearable. Great vlog!

    Many times I will watch a you tube Golf Video and think Ooh. I'll try that next time I play. Yeah not gonna happen here. I'd be happy to shoot in the 80's from the white tees at Bethpage black much less the tips with one foot on the rough. What were you guys thinking? Did you not see the sign. Warning experienced Golfers only? LOL

    Brodie, your buddy is going right because he is aiming right a lot. Something you may want to tell him. Good swing, just aiming right and its going right where he is aiming.
