What a wonderful video and tool. Thank you for sharing! I haven't even gotten my loom yet and I've already edited a couple of patterns I found to closer fit what I'm looking for. Can't wait to try them out!

Well done! Very well explained and I learned some new tricks to the program that I hadn't known before. Thank you!

Thank you. :) It turned out to not be as scary as I was expecting and I already have a plan to do another video.

Thank you so much! I have just started tablet weaving and trying different patterns in the TDD has helped me understand the mechanics behind the process. I appreciate this tutorial.

Thank you for this! I was trying to figure it all out on my own and not having much luck. I just love the diagrams that this program produces - showing the stitch ovals. I'm brand new to tablet weaving and I'm sure I will get a lot of use out of this wonderful program. Thank you, thank you!

thank you so much for all the work you all have put into this. at this point, such good directions remind me what i'm doing, as i try to do stuff i think i remember but have often lost some little crucial thing. thank you for not making me remember stuff about programming so i can skip right to the fooling around with thread! kj

You're very welcome. Helping people to tablet weave is one of my favourite things, so if you ever have any questions about TDD, please let me know.

thank you for this tutorial. it explains how to use it in a simple manner. however, you need a save as button so we can save it into any folder that we create on our computer. otherwise, very well done. hoping to do some brocade drafting on it....

We’d love to have “Save as” feature, but unfortunately there isn’t a way to code it to make it work reliably across multiple browsers and operating systems.

This free browser program is amazing. Thank you so much for creating it! It's wonderful! Do you have any tips for using it for drafting double faced letters?

You've given me a great idea for a future video! I usually set the backward turn saturation to about 75% and turn off the threads in the Display section of the menu. I also use each row on the draft to represent one picks in the band. If you want to include diagonal lines, make sure that they're at least two tablets wide or the interaction between your threading and turning direction might result in the line being broken on the band.

    Muchas gracias

When you click the "Save" button, the draft should download to your computer as a .tdd file which you should be able to open again if you click the "Load: Choose file" button. You may be able to find the file in your downloads folder.

Unfortunately we don't have an iPad to do testing with, so we're unable to support them at the moment.

I’m using an IMac with Safari browser. Even though the S to Z toggle is off, when I click on a square to add color, the S/Z changes and no color is added. (Except it works for black.). Is this because of my using iMac &/or safari?

We've had a play around with safari on a mac and we can't replicate what you're seeing. Which grid are you clicking on when the S/Z slant changes? The upper one or the lower one?

    • @socalteri
      @socalteri 6 месяцев назад

@@tabletweavingintheoryandpr5238 upper master grid. I think I was confusing the TDD way of notating turn direction with slant. I like TDD except I wish the tablets faced right and the threading grid was in the opposite direction😊. So I am turning it all around in my mind. Someone who uses TDD asked me I know a good beginner’s book. Since she faces her tablets left, I just realized that your books would be perfect. Do u recommend one to start with?
