- On January 24, 2024, Daisy, known as the Venice Healer, faced a regulatory issue with her three tiny homes on the Venice Beach Boardwalk. A team comprising Los Angeles Police Officers, Park Rangers, and their Chief informed her that her homes were not compliant with ordinances for street performers and vendors.
Authorities gave Daisy a grace period to move her tiny homes. She relocated one to Santa Monica, but the remaining two were demolished. This situation has sparked discussions on the compatibility of grassroots initiatives with city regulations.

Homelessness and it's associated problems is a terrible situation in any country, but at lease Venice is trying to do something about it unlike some areas of U.S.A. where there are more serious matters that really need governmental intervention regardless of who the ruling party is. Those areas are extremely dangerous and disgusting. In the case of Daisy, she is a wonderful character and puts her heart into everything she tries to do to help people in far worse circumstances. Daisy's idea of 'tiny homes' is brilliant but her concept of their design is a bit frail. The Authorities of Venice L.A. should be prepared to assist her rather than send in their 'heavy mob' to drive poor people away to where? Further desolation and despair? It is a shame that the people Daisy is trying to help do not have the strength of character to be able support her in legal confrontation and so she has become wrongly regarded as a trouble-maker. America has certainly not got the balance of the standards of living correct when people in places like Florida can spend billions of money on boats they have no idea how to handle correctly, or others to send rockets to explore space and can not afford to help destitute people.
