Officers and cleaners are so patience.
@Big Dog Why is illegal??
it's patient not patience

Daisy is crazy!!
Yes she is, but if she was abused as a kid there's nothing can be done about her,I don't think she really helps those people at all.
She was abused by Drugs, Chad and Tyrone.

The girl with the skateboard needs her own podcast, she's precious.
On Gawd💯🤣

In my city, ALL public bathrooms in parks are closed and locked permanently to prevent situations like this. All picnic tables/benches are removed.
Terrible that you have to lock everything to prevent this.
Y'all are attacking the wrong end of the problem.... solving nothing, while creating a new problem.
Golly sounds like a horrible place...no benches to sit on and feed the birds or watch your kids play and no restrooms to use when you do go there...your city's "final solution" keeps EVERYONE away.
I thought the goal was to make the space available to everyone, not to make it horrible for everyone.
Maybe we should keep looking for solutions.
I feel really bad for everyone involved...it's not those officers fault, bless their hearts that abuse was so undeserved.
Seeing people live in a public restroom was a first for me, WOW!
Half those people aren’t even from California
What extremely well trained and professional crews.
I hope that was partly a tongue in cheek joke. The man's right. They should have cleaned the entire area and been busy the entire time. They're being paid well. I don't give people credit for having the discipline to hold back from assaulting a poor homeless man with issues. Everyone should have that level of self discipline and sensitivity. Maybe people are just too used to government/public employees who don't.
@@billg7205 Assault? Calm down and appreciate life
@@gratefulgal5782 The point was clear. These police could have assaulted this guy. Frisking him up and cuffing him as they often do would be assaulting. I’ve been here since a kid in the 70s, and people respected the City so much more! 80% of these folks aren’t from here! People think if you’re Democrat, you don’t care, but that’s not true! However, when you try to say YES to everybody, this is the result! And there’s ALWAYS someone who wants to be called a victim, even though they knew ahead of time, that they weren’t supposed to be there in the bathroom!! I help the poor, but not some of these!
Those bathrooms should be steamed power washed, instead of squirted down with a little beach.

The guy in the end bathroom solved the age-old riddle: how many bicycles can you fit into a BLEEP house?
The mental hospitals need to be reopened IMMEDIATELY! It's a mess here in California.
the costs aren't worth it and you're also assuming they'll voluntarily check themselves in which they won't, not to mention they don't have the capacity to house even a quarter of the homeless. this solution is ignorant at best when you also factor in the costs of a huge building, equipment, room and board, and paying high profession doctor salaries on tax payers money.
And at 22minutes Daisy shows up.🤭😃
I thought I was on a Disney movie for a moment with that young girl singing like Cinderella and two doves landing on the sidewalk beside her LOL

Mayor must appoint Daisy as the director of homeless services. She's the only one making sense with solutions and treating everyone with kindness. Her message of Love and respect for all life is right. And, helping each another to discover and fulfill our purpose in life will make this world a better place, in my Daisy like opinion.
She is a phony conniving attention grabber who adds nothing at all to society and she is obviously a danger to that area.
they keep treating her like a celebrity thats the problem
Because she is funny
The city needs to implement a beach closure hour and lock the bathrooms once the time has been reached as they are not intended to be slept in or, a place to do drugs.
Good idea
They use to lock the bathrooms at 9pm before covid. Now the junkies live in them. Those bathrooms get pretty foul during the day.
@@senadbrick What about when people bring their kids (my kids are ages 12 and 15) to the beach and they need to use the bathroom ? Their drug den's should not be made assessable for them to use as a place to get high and sleep on beyond what the bathrooms are intended for. If they are on the streets, then we can choose not to be near them but we can't do that with the bathrooms.
Stop trying to make sense. Its crazy town by design. It takes a lot of money and man hours to destroy a city that big.

I don't go to LA County beaches anymore, haven't for years and years. Hermosa and Manhattan are still decent though. I head down to Laguna and La Jolla and Dana Point. Worth the drive to avoid this liberal-sanctioned nonsense
The city and the state need to hire a private firm to do the clean up. The public employees spend most of their time standing around. And lock the bathrooms up. They're not serving anybody but the dysfunctional.
.. instead of being jealous, apply for a damn job instead of bitching about it!!??...make the difference..
The guy with the red helmet works with a private company called CleanHarbor..they contract with the city to clean up oil spills and other hazardous spills and bathrooms like the ones your seeing..
I totally agree
Can't believe it. I used those Venice Beach bathrooms many times and never knew people could live in them. But then again I was a regular at that beach from 1983 - 87, and again off and on during the 90s. Last time I was their 2015. The homeless crisis wasn't that bad then, compared to now. Got to be the drugs that make someone comfortable living like that. It's very sad times. Make one feel like the end is near.

@@JCRastafari I know you can’t paint them all with one brush, but the biggest problem is addiction. Most folks who’s been homeless before, will tell you that. I’ve been homeless before, and a lot of folks call drug addiction and mental illness as the same, but it’s not. I know people who choose to be homeless, because they don’t want to pay rent with their addiction money! Then you have people moving here from other states, because our homeless services are more generous. It’s just too much, because we’ve become the homeless state because we are considered a sanctuary state and folks takes advantage! And I’m a Democrat, but we can’t help the world!

"Using a public commode as a private abode"
Y'know, being homeless has been a personal fear of mine for ages (as it is for many - if not most - people). It probably exceeds fear of being incarcerated. One deals with the constant struggle to survive (e.g. food, maintaining health and hygiene, acclimatizing to different seasons). Then of course you have challenging elements on the street: being shoulder to shoulder with extremely mentally ill/intoxicated people who have nothing to lose and could snap at anyone in a split second. One will witness this even as a non-homeless bystander.
The more we read about the street drug pipeline/mental health issue, the more sense we can make when considering indifference to such environments.
Imagine choosing a sleeping area with the pungent aroma of filth. Without being removed from reality (or being desensitized by the fact you're no longer part of it) it's unimaginable.
@@senadbrick There's a lot of caveats to such statement, because what we think others should have is not always synonymous with what they want.
Unless these documentary journalists are extremely subjective, a lion's share (80%+) of the "unhoused" I've seen interviewed are either stuck on drugs, mentally sick, or both. Regardless of how far gone they are - they're still adults.
The shelter solution has been a complete failure, not because of lack of resources, but because many feel they're better off being exposed to the street's hazards than that of a shelter.
What about bringing back the public clinic (which was done away with in the 1980s)? One of the primary reasons this resource was discontinued was because of the prospect of tort abuse: As wards of the state, such individuals would have access to opportunistic attorneys who could make a bundle. Imagine a lawsuit over urine stains on a toilet seat - yep, it's possible. And the judgment will be everyone's tax dollars at work.
Quite frankly there's no reasonable solution, and as of late, the "Alt-Left" has turned these individuals into shock troops for their personal agenda.
@@senadbrick Absolutely, a good deal of the unhoused are not mentally ill or addicted and have just fallen on hard times. But they're a world apart from the 80% who are intent on blaming others, class guilt-tripping, and (most of all) creating an enabling system which duplicates their plight rather than removes it.
In comparison, it's like student loan borrowers who took out a busload of debt on an unmarketable degree (and indulgent living expenses) and now want the taxpayer to bail them out. What fair is that to those of us who made good judgment despite struggling, climbed the ladder with no string pulling, and now have something to show for it?
Contrary to popular belief, the "1%" is not footing the bill for either endowment - it's the new "lower-lower-lower" middle class.
Yep, that is pretty much the reason I got my sh*t together after high school & got a career. 🧠🐕
