      Needed this comment because I was just wondering how the got the "kchithink... kchitink" effect. It's like they were hitting something metal and I'm surprised it wasn't used more often in coming years. Somebody knows something and I hope they read this comment

    Can I ask why baritone horn is in treble clef?

    • @MALLEXMUSIC

      No

    • @kaden3933
      @kaden3933 2 года назад +8

      Sometimes a trumpet player switches to the baritone and it is easier for them to read it in treble clef as it is the same fingerings.

    • @ppebisnade5592
      @ppebisnade5592 2 года назад

      @@kaden3933 that’s just for trumpets swapping over tho, not fluent players

      @josemancia3116 2 года назад

      I played trumpet during middle school and up to until my junior year on high school when I switched from trumpet to euphonium during summer band it was the same fingerings as trumpet so I read Treble clef for marching season but when it was concert season I learnt bass clef

    • @Avstinato
      @Avstinato 2 года назад

      Baritone in Europe traditionally reads in Bb treble clef, and it is much more common than C bass clef which is standardized in the US. Most fluent players above an advanced HS/college level will definitely know how to read it, but it's up to player preference which is why almost all wind band music will have both the bass clef and Bb treble parts available.

      Yeah. I understand that the new ones are safer and less hot, but they just look so unprofessional and they add general effect, which means that band can afford to be less creative as long as they bought new style uniforms. I think there’s gotta be a way to make the old uniforms more lightweight or something, I just LOVE how they look.

    • @_Kenopsia_
      @_Kenopsia_ 10 месяцев назад +2

      i think it gives corps a lot of creative liberty in their shows, but i understand the appreciation of traditional uniforms. they both have their pros and cons, but personally i prefer the newer ones as it really does add a lot to the story of the show. i know colorguard is supposed to do that but to me most of the time it looks like guard is just there for more bodies on the field and doesn’t add too much to the story. i think front ensemble is the biggest story driver personally, but the more story on the field the better i think. still, traditional uniforms are pretty neat

    So I’m the last five measures, does the trumpet and cymbals rolls make dissonance happen? I think I hear the cymbal roll and trumpet and mello rubbing together also.

    • @liamallen2156
      @liamallen2156 2 года назад

      The trumpets have a Bb minor triad and the mellos have what would be a 9-8 suspension(the g to f). Until the mellos go to f the chord is dissonant due to the half step between the mello f and the trumpet eb and the whole step between mello f and trumpet c

    Why is baritone in TC? I understand that British people and traditional brass bands have it in TC, but this isn’t UK. Other than that, great transcription!

    • @Avstinato
      @Avstinato 2 года назад +5

      It's relatively standard to write baritone parts in treble Bb in traditional marches and early Wind Ensemble lit but this was probably just done for the convenience of keeping everything without ledger lines
