    Let me add to this review in my own way. I have northern tall fescue here in my area which cuts way different than that stiff southern turn in the video. I picked this machine up because I have a pool with a slope too steep for a gas engine on one end and the trimmer was a pia with no real way to keep the bulk of the grass out of the pool. This mower cuts northern tall fescue beautifully. Highly highly recommend this mower for somebody with the right size lawn or a specialty need like I have. I cut commercially for a living for over 30 years. My personal mower for "home" is a Scag Tiger cat II 61" with Briggs vanguard big block 35hp. I am on 3 acres with 2 of it being lawn. Again great review!

    I ordered one today from Home Depot. I'm an older lady and everything is getting harder for me to do. I have thought about going electric for a few years, and it seems like the time is right now. I look forward to easier lawn care this year. Fingers crossed! This was a great review, and very helpful, thank you!

      I just bought one today, and it cut really nice. How is it going for you? I am an older lady in your age group as well. Things sure are getting tougher! If you don't mind, let me know how your mower is doing!

      @staceys1870 I think I have cut my yard 4 times now with my new Echo mower, and I'm loving it! I appreciate not having to pull a rope to start one, splashing gasoline everywhere, and pushing, pulling, and shoving a heavy mower across my bumpy lawn. The Echo battery mower has made grass cutting so much easier for this older gal. I'm so happy I bought this. Fingers crossed that it holds up well like my old gas Husqvarna has.

    Hey, did you know that Greenworks as the top-selling battery tool brand shared some of it's own manufactured products with other least top-selling brands, such as Echo? All except the color scheme and logo!

      hi I did notice they look almost identical on the body. Love this design. I have Toro and this echo deck works really well.

    Thanks for the comprehensive review! Funny my toro dealer was showing me this today, might be better for my lawn to be able switch off the SP like this mower for parts of it. How does the cut quality compare to the toro's? Any problem with locking up when backing up using SP like some have reported? Thanks for any input!

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  4 месяца назад

      Hello there are some great things about it like design, storage, easy of use, handle is awesome design, the bagging is perfect. The cut quality is ok on low but on high is good. Its a simple blade it comes wit. I haven't searched for any other blades. Battery is not bad on low so if you are going to use on high then need 2 batteries. It does get a bit stuck when you pull it back sometimes. On the speed sometimes feels a bit slow but not a deal breaker. Over all its fun and very smooth to use except when it gets stuck pulling back. I have the toro super recycler and that is the best cut I have done. The Toro its not perfect but still has the more natural feel since it uses a belt drive like the old ones. I tried the EGO and hated it. If you are getting the Echo and buying the weed eater and blower then you will have the extra batteries to cut with. I love Echo I had the gas powered attachment series since I started cutting but switched to battery. Hope this helps let me know if you have any questions. Check out the Toro videos

      @@ExtremDIY Many thanks for sharing your experiences. I guess one plus of the Echo over the SR Toro is that you can use this one without any SP for small areas where one is maneouvering around etc. If you don't mind my asking what did you not like about the Ego as it gets such great reviews? Thanks!

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  4 месяца назад

      You are welcome. For me the ego felt like a plastic toy. Since I like to bag there is a metal crossbar that is annoying. Trying to get the speed was not good for me. Either too fast or too slow. It did cut well with the dual blade. I do have ego weed eater and blower and like those but not the mower.

    Does Mulching use more or less battery vs Bagging?

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  29 дней назад

      Hi I didnt test that option. I think it should be close but bagging will have to carry the extra weight so maybe bagging waste more. thanks

    I have the gen 1 Echo 58v and I can’t complain after about six years ownership. But at this point, no matter how much I sharpen the blades it’s just not cutting clean anymore.

    • @ExtremDIY
      @ExtremDIY  17 дней назад

      Hello it can be the batteries are not spinning the blades fast enough due to age. You can do it on the turbo setting to get a better cut.

    • @americantroy77
