This episode of Bugs Bunny crossed my mind 3 days ago, so I had to look it up and watch it. It was hilarious to go back and watch it again as an adult. Amazing how the cartoon was so well choreographed to the music.
He pulls teeth, has specials for the ladies and the gentlemen, sends love letters, gives advice, sings love songs, plays guitar, and is ready to help with any shenanigans in the name of love (for gold). That's why everyone keeps yelling "Hey, Figaro!" all the time. :D
It can help you to focus. Because when you are reading or something like that you use more one side of your brain and the other side "wants attention", so when you listen to music(it's more usefull if the music don't have a singer, but if it do, it should be in other language, cause it may use the wrong side of the brain). I got this from Pierluigi Piazzi.
Lovely song, it always saddens me to think these classical authors will never know how beloved their music is across the world so long after they died.

Better yet try 6:37. That's where Bugs & Elmer chase each other with the axes, guns & cannons. After which Bugs & Elmer get "married" & Bugs throws Elmer into the cake.
(Axe, bigger axe, gun, bigger gun, cannon, bigger cannon, even bigger cannon, flowers, chocolates, proposal, they get married, he runs up the stairs and drops him into a cake.)
Elmer is immersed to his waist, in the cake--wedding dress spread on the outside of the cake while his lower half of his body, clad in hunting gear (complete with the boots) is flailing about. CLASSIC!
@Adelaide Slaven I'm playing this in youth orchestra too, except I just came here to listen to it as a reference recording to help practice. Here I am scrolling through comments, suddenly realizing that is from Bugs Bunny.
I can't come up with a single melody of my own, and here is a different one at every pause. Thank you, Bugs Bunny, Carl Stalling & Co for introducing me to this wonderful piece!

My father listened to either news radio or classical music in the car, always. And I thank him for it. But Bugs Bunny also gave me my own personal connection to so many pieces. And don’t forget the wonderful use of this piece to close out the Beatles movie Help! Which was excellent.
I'm a student of biochemistry, but my heart is really in art, literature, and classic music. I feel like the most beautiful times of our world have been used up, and in this modern era we just recycle and abuse the gifts given to use, biding time until we blow ourselves up. It's really the most omnipresent sadness I feel when I fall into beautiful music such as this and put it into perspective.
Here's a challenge: Watch "Rabbit of Seville" and then listen to the original version of the overture from The Barber of Seville and try NOT to sing along with the Bugs Bunny lyrics or even just replay the cartoon in your mind. You can't.
I love driving to this when you're running late to work and there's traffic but not too heavy weaving in and out in sync with to the rhythm and pulling in a parking spot right as the song ends
One of my favorite memories is kicking back at Red Rocks with my family, including my cousin whom I haven't seen for years now, and watching Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny bring an extra spring of fun and humor to Rossini's timeless masterpieces. It was the perfect intro to the Princess Bride.
In my estimation, Rossini was the King of Overtures!! The man was a musical Genius! There are many fine overtures but the ones by Rossini are outstanding!!
Oh! The brilliance of the Italian opera composers! The Italian language was made for opera. It is no wonder that opera was once the national sport of Italy. I could listen to this all day and night! Thanks for putting this together.
Overture: six minutes at the beginning of the opera, where the audience talks amongst themselves and no one pays attention to the music. (according to Verdi)
I sure do miss the 90's. Things were so much better. The 90's was so lame and cheesy and Ioved it lol hats on backwards, jean jackets, backstreet boys, no justin bieber lol
I know everyone is talking about 2:10 but what about the part directly after it? I'm talking about 2:39 That intense exclamation of a note sells what came before
To be very honest I am very very grateful to Bugs Bunny for sharing great music with countless millions of children . Otherwise the world would be a sadder place .
I've been trying to figure out the name of this song for years! I had it in my head, but couldn't remember from where. I was just watching Bugs Bunny and POW! Thanks for sharing this masterpiece.
It's impossible not to hear this song without picturing Bugs Bunny in the very cartoon this was heard in. Absolutely brilliant. I still remember it bit by bit after so many watches as a little girl.
Said of Rossini: "His countenance revealed a lofty and congenial expression. His subtle, quick penetrating eye and wit held one magnetically before him. His smile, benevolent and caustic at the same time, reflected his whole disposition." By his music, you can hear that the man's mind was afire. We're the lucky beneficiaries of his talent. we can listen to his great music over and over again….
My favorite music memories from childhood are from Tom and Jerry (->train scene) and from Bugs Bunny (->barber) cartoons and today I realized that they are just the different parts of the same composition.. mindblowing :D
Pure Genius Rossini, even more so the amazing talents of Mozart, because the Barber was Figaro and he carries the Characters over for his Marriage of Figaro.
I remember hearing this while watching looney tunes when I was very little - that episode was one of my favourites. Then, I finally found this over a decade later. So many memories and such a great composition. :)
Actually, This song DID make in into the big screen! in Tom & Jerry's Kitty Foiled. The song was heard in the scene where Tom tries to run over Jerry with a train but the song is more dramatic than this version
Alsemenor I'm in no way referring to the greats of old, and I can't grasp how you wouldn't infer that. I speak of modern composers, conductors, and musicians - granted they are in no way affiliated with the true composing genius of this specific piece - who deserve to profit from the works they create or produce.
This is one of the first records that I heard when very young back in the early 60's along with the Brandenburg Concertos. My Dad had these on the old 78 rpm records. I must have played the grooves off that record and still love this music.
xskyle1 I was using my phone. There was no way I was going to go back and try and paste the exact time into the comment. I'm not trying to sound smart, I'm just stating that the triplets at 2:40 were excellent. There's no need for you to act like you have a stick up your ass just because I don't "make musical sense". Also, as someone who has played clarinet for five years, I know at least a little about what "makes musical sense", and as far as I know, "theme" and "fast section" are commonly used terms in orchestras for when we don't have specific measure numbers or "time stamps". The area I was referring to, at 2:40, was the second major melody after the "allegro vivace", which marked the end of the section which is typically conducted in eighth notes as it is slow. So, "instead of trying to sound smart", you should probably just mind your business, and accept that not everyone is going to state things in an exact format preferred by you in a youtube comment section.
There was a moment when Warner Brothers and their gang did quite a lot for opera and allowing the young to develop a taste for it. Nothing proves that better than this piece. I saw the cartoon as a young man and to this day I can almost see it frame for frame. And, of course, the terrific music to which they were strikingly loyal. I'd rather listen to a concert called "Bugs Plays Rossini" than rap with no music and few lyrics any day.
"OOOOOOOOOOH Where do I get the waaaaaaabbit?!" "Whaaaaaaaaaaat would you waaaant with a wabbit? Caaaaaaan't you see that I'm-much-swee-ter IIIIIIII'M your little sen-ior-i-ter"

60% of here came from looney tunes 35% came from tom and jerry
4% came from TFS DBZ Abridged (including me)
1% came here cuz they love clasical music
why did the remaining 35% come here?
Finally! I made it to the top 1% :) (of something)
I just love classical music. Once in a time i come there, just to relax and enjoy.
also because of Just for Laughs Gags
3:43 I made a quick timestamp for the DBZ Abridged fans.
Its amazing how the golden age of animation has exposed us to these beautifully composed works of art
That classic Bugs Bunny skit brought me here
DoughRayMe k
i only remember those cartoons when this kinda music comes on ...hate getting old
XDXDXD
Me too
Here's a challenge: Watch "Rabbit of Seville" and then listen to the original version of the overture from The Barber of Seville and try NOT to sing along with the Bugs Bunny lyrics or even just replay the cartoon in your mind.
You can't.
Looney Tunes is how I was introduced to classical music. And I wouldn't have it any other way, lol
Hard for me to listen to this and NOT think of that cartoon along with Bugs' and Elmer's accompanying lyrics 😂!
Ive never watched Bugs bunny or looney toons, so I think it will have the opposite effect, Ill hum along to the music or smth lol
Bugs Bunny is how a lot of us were introduced to the joy of opera. Long live Bugs.
You're right! I couldn't avoid the bugs phrases!😝
I love driving to this when you're running late to work and there's traffic but not too heavy weaving in and out in sync with to the rhythm and pulling in a parking spot right as the song ends
wow I can't believe this song is already 12 years old time flies
Boy do I have news for you
@@attackdogs3455 it's a bot
I sincerely hope that was sarcasm lmao
@@djkm9558 no I’m not idiot
whOosh
Thi is great and all, but I'm sorry, it's just not the same without Bugs massaging Elmer Fudd's head.
Too funny - but, only to Boomers and the like
Edgar Hudak That's for true !
"Oh, wait until I get that rabbit
What would you want with a rabbit "
Can't you see that I'm much sweeter,I'm your little senoriter.
"Welcome to my shop,

Rafinayoo Me too,i just love classic music.
I came because of the movie "Breaking away"

I'm here because I have NO IDEA WHATSOEVER how to play this for my violin audition.
¡¡Gracias hermosa Italia por tanto genio que nos diste!!
Bugs Bunny memories from childhood
One of my favorite memories is kicking back at Red Rocks with my family, including my cousin whom I haven't seen for years now, and watching Elmer Fudd and Bugs Bunny bring an extra spring of fun and humor to Rossini's timeless masterpieces. It was the perfect intro to the Princess Bride.
2:27 favorite part
Never a boring moment with this lad
He seems like the type of fella that owns a doghouse.
I actually know about this piece through a symphonic orchestra playing it at a concert :)
me: listens to first 10 seconds
me: adds to "favorite Classical music" Playlist
me: listens to rest of the song
In my estimation, Rossini was the King of Overtures!! The man was a musical Genius! There are many fine overtures but the ones by Rossini are outstanding!!
And Wagner!
Agree!
I am happy to listen your music. It is the most wonderful
Rossini era un Genio !!!!!trasmette attraverso la Sua musica. La voglia di vivere ,,l'allegria il buon umore , magnifico!!!!Viva Rossini. Mari
0:43-0:53 There, you're nice and clean... although your face looks like it might have gone through a machine!
Oh! The brilliance of the Italian opera composers! The Italian language was made for opera.
It is no wonder that opera was once the national sport of Italy.
I could listen to this all day and night!
Thanks for putting this together.
“Eh..Next!”-Bugs Bunny
Overture: six minutes at the beginning of the opera, where the audience talks amongst themselves and no one pays attention to the music. (according to Verdi)
To Verdi: dude, you got it wrong that time.
The best of Rossini and Bellini

Cartoons introducing us to classical music since the 90's lol.
***** I don't mean to sound like an ass, but the first Bugs Bunny cartoon actually premiered in 1940 I believe.
***** Ass
***** i grew up in the 90's and that's when i saw the most bugs bunny doing classical pieces lol.
Amen!
I sure do miss the 90's. Things were so much better. The 90's was so lame and cheesy and Ioved it lol hats on backwards, jean jackets, backstreet boys, no justin bieber lol
I know everyone is talking about 2:10 but what about the part directly after it? I'm talking about 2:39
That intense exclamation of a note sells what came before
Good taste brought me here...
Jhonatas Elyel it's a pity that so many people know italian opera music only thank's American cartoons.
Franz Liszt brought me here (he wanted to be better than Rossini and I needed to know why)
David Tornabene lol shut the fuck up.
@@kitgusto2390 Amen.
TheNokturnalTImes-Rossini wanted to be better than Mozart but realized that was impossible.
To be very honest I am very very grateful to Bugs Bunny for sharing great music with countless millions of children . Otherwise the world would be a sadder place .
I love this song .Our concert band played it in high school for a competition. The judges gave us a standing ovation. Its not an easy song to do.
I’m still listening in May 2024!
July 18
I've been trying to figure out the name of this song for years! I had it in my head, but couldn't remember from where. I was just watching Bugs Bunny and POW! Thanks for sharing this masterpiece.
Saw the Barber of Seville 2 nights ago. Watching an orchestra play the overture is amazing.
0:43 "Therrree, you're nice and cleeeaan! Although your face, looks it might have gone thru a ma-chine!"
It's impossible not to hear this song without picturing Bugs Bunny in the very cartoon this was heard in. Absolutely brilliant.
I still remember it bit by bit after so many watches as a little girl.
IKR
If you weren't thinking of Bugs Bunny, you are now.
Oh my god, what have you done to me?!
Sucker.
Daintily!
***** eh, next.
***** He worked for Warner Bros in the music dept for his day job. he was moonlighting when he did the operas.
Excellent description
Which piece was being referred to?
My favorite music memories from childhood are from Tom and Jerry (->train scene) and from Bugs Bunny (->barber) cartoons and today I realized that they are just the different parts of the same composition.. mindblowing :D
I found this because I searched for that specific tom and jerry train scene music for so long
Also from Vincenzo series
What’s funny, the part used in Tom and Jerry cartoon was actually switched from Major to Minor scale
Whoever was the conductor did a fantastic job ! One of the best El Barbero de Sevilla I listened on youtube thus far !
I think it was a midi file
sir neville (tavsiye ederim)
Pure Genius Rossini, even more so the amazing talents of Mozart, because the Barber was Figaro and he carries the Characters over for his Marriage of Figaro.
Give it a thumbs up if you get the reference!
2:09 Cast time and Cooldowns are reduced! Thanks Poem of Bragi!
I remember hearing this while watching looney tunes when I was very little - that episode was one of my favourites. Then, I finally found this over a decade later. So many memories and such a great composition. :)
I imagine how it feels like to listen this masterpiece in theatre from real orchestra
Actually, This song DID make in into the big screen! in Tom & Jerry's Kitty Foiled. The song was heard in the scene where Tom tries to run over Jerry with a train but the song is more dramatic than this version
It is absolutely mind blowing! Brought tears to my eyes at Royal Alberts’ Classical Spectacular 🤩
2:09 When you touch your pocket and don't feel your phone
And you find your gf looking at your phone with a surprised face
The power of public domain, how awesome and wonderful :)
Copyright bitches gonna hate
the performance itself is still copyrighted.
Leon Parker How dare someone attempt to make an honest profit from their own works, the very result of their blood, sweat, and tears!
John Doe
They had 70 years to do that. It's our turn now.
John Doe I doubt the long dead composers are able to profit from anything.
El idioma universal la música hay muchos genios grandes compositores gracias por compartir esta selección de bellas melodías
Those triplets in later in the piece (right after the theme that begins the fast section) that lead up to the downbeat give me musicgasms
Servals Just so you know, what you said makes no musical sense at all. Use time stamps instead of trying to sound smart, thanks.
xskyle1
I was using my phone.
Theme, and fast section, make musical sense. That guy's just salty.
"OOOOOOOOOOH Where do I get the waaaaaaabbit?!"
"Whaaaaaaaaaaat would you waaaant with a wabbit?
Caaaaaaan't you see that I'm-much-swee-ter
IIIIIIII'M your little sen-ior-i-ter"

A Bugs Bunny episode brought me to this amazing piece when I was 7 years old. I feel like I have on a red cape listening to this.
