Lyrics:
Wish me a rainbow, and wish me a star.
All this you can give me,
Wherever you are;
And dreams for my pillow,
And stars for my eyes,
And a masquerade ball
Where our love wins first prize.
Wish me red roses, and yellow balloons,
And black sequins (carousels) whirling
To gay dancing tunes.
I want all these treasures;
The most you can give.
So, wish me a rainbow
As long as I live!
All my tomorrows
Depend on your love.
So, wish me a rainbow
Above!
All my tomorrows
Depend on your love.
So, wish me a rainbow above!

Mary Badham is so natural onscreen she makes it look effortless.
She's great!
She brought her characters to life. A natural for sure.
Sad movie well acted by all.
This song has a beautiful melody & sometimes a bit of extra cutesy in the lyrics isn't such a bad thing!😂
Might be the sadest movie of 1966.
Oh yes, so beautiful but so sad!
Yea it’s my favorite Natalie wood movie she’s so beautiful in it! But the ending caught me off guard and I wish it ended differently. But who’s ever reading this rent the movie it’s a good story but sad. She was 29 went it came out.
This is the little boy who played in "Lassie".
I got this on DVD recently.mary badham is charming,delightful,and heartfelt as willy.i have read the play a few times.the movie is so gorgeous and sumptuous looking.stunning color and so well produced.natalie wood gives a riveting performance.kate reid is well cast as the uncouth mother with no heart of gold.robert Redford is the perfect match giving a strong tower of strength performance.what I like about alva is that she is not some one note caricatured floozy.she is no Scarlett o hara.she is the way she is because of a broken home,poor upbringing,and an immoral selfish mother who sickeningly smothers and domineers and bullied her to get what she wants.alva wants more from life and is capable of more but it is difficult because she is pigeon holes in a stifling home life and environment.glad I bought this movie on DVD.summer and smoke is another good movie I recommend.i saw it on VHS in 2000.i recently got it on DVD.
